The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

It's been a few days after the incident and right now everybody is occupied. I seem to have forgotten about it, when everything turned back to normal and Jack assured me of our safety. I trusted him and cleared my mind of worries. Our love for each other is more important than anything else.

Today is not an ordinary day, today is when the Alpha's of the four region would come. Jack told me about them, the Alphas from the East,West, North and South.

Technically these four Alphas does not recognized Jack as one of them, they only acknowledge his father King Darius being the center and the existing Alpha King. But the people in the palace and the Royal pack wolves believed in Jack and called him the Alpha Prince.

That name that will soon change after he ascends the throne.

The four Alphas will stay for a week because of the following reasons..

First, is because two days from now it will be our wedding. And second, Jack will ascend the throne as the next Alpha King and the four Alpha's will pledge their alliance to him.

There seems to be no problem with the other Alphas except for one. The Alpha of the North, they said he is mateless and cruel and he is not going to accept as our ally. But Alpha Jack said that he is coming and maybe he will change his mind.

I did the final touch of my make up in the full body mirror inside our dressing room. I have on a long vneck hand embellished gown which showed a little of my cleavage. The slit on the left side of the leg allowed me to walk comfortably and I love how it's color blushed pink makes me feel really pretty and good.

"It's time to go my love..The King just mind linked me and waiting for us."

Alpha Jack went inside the dressing room and connected his eyes to mine through our reflection in the mirror.

"D-do I looked alright?

"Oh, you look stunning and beautiful like always. I am not comfortable with the other Alphas seeing you like this. But it's alright, they will also witnessed our wedding soon".

There was sparkle in his eyes at the mention of the word wedding and I couldn't help but notice how handsome he is. In a navy color suit which fitted his hard and strong physique. Today he even looked more gorgeous and it's difficult to take my eyes away from him.

"Alright let's go my Alpha".

I smiled and put my hand at his waiting arm. He smiled back before tugging my arm against him. Together we went out of the room. Cory and Claire are already in their quarters, after i finished dressing up i had let them retire early.

The trip to the other side of the Palace was short and fast. Beta Matias on the wheels gave us a warm smile when we have reached the entrance to the King Alpha's Hall.

The number of guards watching the entrance have doubled. I noticed the celebration with a bit of tension in the air. The Langstone family have been blessed to lead all the wolves of this world but I know they didn't achieve this without a fight.

We walked hand in hand inside the hall looking directly ahead where the King Alpha and the Queen Luna is seated. I noticed the two empty seats beside them and it's like I already know those are for me and Jack. Maleficus is standing beside the throne together with Gemer and Michael while the other warrior wolves are just around standing at a distance with their focused on everybody's safety.

Alpha Jack squeezed my hand and whispered in my ear. "This is already starting to bore me, I don't know why we have to welcome the other Alphas with a grand celebration like this."

I chuckled nervously and answered him. "Well, this happens only every ten years like you said so I guessed it's best to celebrate it like this".

I glanced around and remember Jack's sister is not present today. "Oh, I didn't see Princess Jasmin around. Is your sister not coming for the celebration?

Jack shrugged his shoulders. "She's coming tomorrow if not today. My sister loves to hang out with the humans so I'm guessing she's somewhere in the other part of the world".

The Queen immediately stand from her seat and run towards us. With her beauty that never fails to impress the she wolves around including me.

"Finally! You two arrived, come Carmela and have a sit beside me. Let the King Alpha have Jack beside him for his support".

Alpha King Darius nod towards me, his expression held dominance and the features on his face is calm but with so much power. I know he wants to show Jack the supremacy that an Alpha King should have being the one to lead the four regions.

Alpha Jack quickly gave me a peck on the cheek before heading towards the seat beside King Darius. I smiled and let myself seated next to Queen Helen.

"Thank you Queen Helen".

"Oh,,you're absolutely welcome Carmela. I hope this celebration will not bore you".

The Queen and i chatted for a little bit when Maleficus announces the arrival of the first Alpha.

"Ladies and Gentlemen! Let's welcome The Alpha of the East, Alpha Li Jun with his mate..Luna Chunhua."

They came inside the hall holding hands. A tall and good looking man in mid twenties with white skin and dark hair his smile is genuine.

He wore a black coat with mandarin collar and a silver dragon necklace hanging in his neck. The woman beside him was a picture of beauty and elegance in a stunning floral print silk-crepe, long sleeve ruffled midi dress.

The man directly spotted Alpha King Darius and approached him. The King stood up and so is alpha Jack followed by Queen Helen and me.

"King Darius! I am glad to be here. What is this news i heard, that you are retiring soon?

He offered a hand to the King which he quickly accepted and gave him a firm handshake before answering his question.

"That will be discussed as soon as the others will arrived. All of you will have the same question and I would rather answer you all at once".

The Alpha of the East laugh and looked at Alpha Jack. "Prince Jack, Thank you for inviting us to your wedding. May i know who the lucky girl is?

Alpha Jack glanced towards my direction and offer a handshake to him. "You're welcome Alpha Li Jun, my mate is sitting next to my Queen mother".

"We are pleased to have your presence".

Alpha LiJun and his mate walked towards the Queen beside me and he took her hand that's resting on the chair. His smile was both friendly and peaceful it reminded me of the spring. He gave a gentle kissed on the Queen's hand.

"Nice to see you again Queen Helen"

The Queen nodded and replied. "Same to you Alpha LiJun, welcome to the Langstone Palace once again".

It was a brief and formal greeting which i noticed that the Queen does most of the time when an important guest of the Palace arrived.

"Oh! You must be Jack's mate. May i know the name of our Future Queen?

I hesitated before accepting his extended hand towards me looking over at his mates smiling face.

"I'm Carmela White. Thank you for coming Alpha LiJun".

And just like that the Alpha of the East and his mate settled on their seats. Then the next couple arrived. I heard Maleficus shouting their name.

"Let's welcome the Alpha of the West...Alpha Wesley and his mate Luna Cassy.”

The couple wearing both suede leather outfits reminds me of wild horses and bulls. They were both peaceful and likable like the first couple that arrived. Both were happy to greet the King and the Queen, same for Jack and me.

His mate Cassy was also a lovely young woman that cling to him like glue. They were in love I could tell by the exchange of glances they have with each other.

Both expressed their gratitude to witnessed the wedding of Jack and me.

Then Maleficus announced the next Alpha that came.

“Welcome the Alpha of the south..Alpha Ace and his mate Kayla”.

The couple arrived with an atmosphere of refinement and pride. From the clothes that they wore one could instantly tell their status in the society. The tall man was devastating in a three piece gray suit. His hair is light brown and his eyes are gray and intimidating. He wore a cocky smile on his lips while holding his mate’s hand on his right arm.

The young woman was simply beautiful in a tweed and wool blend short dress. I admire her blond curls that fall around her shoulders making her looks striking and effortless.

They both greeted the King and Jack then the Queen and me. It’s like the first greetings was just repeated three times and now i can already tell why the Queen told me not to get bored. As the couple found their seat, the Queen glanced at me and whispered.

“The last Alpha is a little late, but we are still hopeful he would come.”

I remember what Jack told me, the Alpha of the North. If he doesn’t come it would mean war, war against the Northern wolves. But the Langstone family and the Royal pack are both hoping not to go to war again.

“Oh, i guessed we have to wait for a little while”.

I replied to the Queen. And then we heard Maleficus shouted.

“Ladies and Gentlemen! Welcome the Alpha of the North, Alpha Zero of the Cold Moon Pack. With his Beta Derek.”

He was still a distance further but I could already see King Darius rising from his chair followed by Alpha Jack. I was about to move when Queen Helen stopped me.

“Don’t, Carmela. Let the men welcome him this time. He is a mateless wolf and i heard the rumors about him, we don’t judge people but i will suggest it’s better for us to stay safe.”

I watched as Queen Helen remain seated and heard Jack mind linked me. “Stay in your seat my love, this one is difficult to deal”.

With that I stayed and watched him approached.

He's big and tall, about an inch taller than Jack. His muscles ripples against his Dark suit as he walks proudly. His face is void of feelings with dark eyebrows and dark eyes that would scare a girl away. His masculinity screams like no woman is accepted in his world. His aura is dangerous and so is the look of his Beta beside him.

Now I don't wonder why he is mateless, by the look of him. Every detail about him would tell anyone to stay away. He is the kind of man you should avoid, the man nobody should messed up with. He's the Alpha that should be left alone.

Then my heart suddenly hammered in my chest and a shiver ran down my spine as he stopped walking and turned his gaze at me.
