The King Alpha's Mate

*Jack's POV*

It was just yesterday when my mate and I is standing in this throne to be wed infront of the wolves and the Moon Goddess. And here we are again today positioned to take the crown from my father as the King of all Alphas and my mother as the Queen Luna.

The ceremony started early when all the Alphas was present and the warriors of my pack are gathered.

"I Alpha Darius of the Royal Pack the King of all Alphas, passed on my crown into my only son Jack Langstone ."

"May the Moon Goddess blessed him with a strong will power. To lead our world, to fight for the survival of our race and to depend the Royal Pack." "He will vow to no one except for the Moon Goddess"

My father recited more words for my crowning. More words that is heard and agreed by all the people present for the occasion.

As soon as he finished Maleficus shouted..

"All hail to the new King of the alphas. Long lived King Alpha Jack Langstone!

A very loud cheer is heard along the audience. It was a ceremony unlike the wedding which happened just about yesterday. Today is a very cautious matter that would either tear me down or build me up as a strong King.

My warriors are standing near the throne, all watchful and ready if ever things go out of hand. Both of my parents is proud to gave us the crowns as the chosen wolves to continue being the King and Queen of all the wolves.

My father placed his crown on top of my head and urged me to move forward and take the seat as the new Alpha King. Carmela was also crowned by my Queen mother as the new Luna Queen of the Royal Pack. And we both sat down the chairs intended for us.

After that Maleficus announced the new Pledge of Alliance from the four Alphas.

He asked them to come forward one by one starting from Alpha Li jun the Alpha of the East.

They have to follow a sacred tradition by giving a few drops of their blood for me. Each had been called by Maleficus, to come and take a knife to cut their palms and place a drop of their blood on the silver cup for me to drink and accept the pledge of alliance to our packs.

"I Alpha Li jun of the East, pledge my alliance to the new King."

"May the Moon Goddess Blessed these Alliance and keep it strong Alpha King Jack".

The Alpha from the East murmured to me before cutting his palm, allowing his blood to drop inside the silver cup.

"Thank you Alpha Li jun."

I replied and watched carefully as the Alpha finished his pledge and went ahead.

The next one is the Alpha from the West. Alpha Wesley, he came forward without delay.

"Congratulations Alpha King Jack, I gave my trust in you whole heartedly. I have faith that this alliance will keep the peace in our lands."

"I Alpha Wesley of the West, solemly pledge my Alliance to you my Alpha King."

"King Alpha Jack Langstone of the Royal Pack".

"My heartfelt gratitude Alpha Wesley!

The Alpha of the West did the same as Alpha Li jun and returned back to his seat with a look of triumph in his face.

I feel my heart starting to race as the moment where my father told me in a mind linked yesterday night, is starting to occur today. The next Alpha for the Pledge of Alliance is Alpha Ace from the South.

"I Alpha Ace of the South, pledge my true alliance to the new King of all Alphas". Alpha King Jack Langstone, may you blessed with more pups to continue the bloodline of the Alpha Kings."

The Alpha of the South continued his pledge of alliance jovially.

"Thank you so much Alpha Ace of the South".

I sincerely replied and waited until Maleficus called for the next Alpha. Finally, the Apha of the North. Alpha Zero of the Cold Mountain Pack.

"I Alpha Zero of the Cold mountain Pack, pledge my alliance to the new King of all Alphas."

"Alpha King Jack Langstone, let..let the Moon Goddess..Bless..

Alpha Zero seemed confused but he had already cut his palm and drop some of his blood on the cup. Maleficus quickly took the cup from him and handed it over to me. The silver cup half full from the four Alphas smelled like combats and terror but I have to drink from it. Maleficus waved his hand, encouraging me to sip to that the Alliance will be completed.

I took the cup through my lips and drink.

Alpha Zero deeply frowned and growled loudly that the audience was shocked. I have almost thrown the cup away but i keep my hold and tool another gulp. Then I gently placed it a a small table beside me, i rested my arms in the chair and glanced at my mate.

"What's going on?

She asked with a worried frown, the warriors were alerted and they have drawn their swords near the Alpha of the North.

I took a deep breath and steady my senses. The blood flowed through my veins, i know the effect will take place after a night. My father said it would allow him to mind linked the other Alphas in emergency situations.

"Stay still my love and let this moment unfold, Maleficus have already seen this in his vision and this is what my father told me yesterday."

Carmela is speechless, but she sat still while another growl escaped from Alpha Zero.

"Traitors!! You have tricked me into this Alliance." You're Beta has betrayed you! Why is he still standing in the front?

Maleficus was quick to go in the front face of Alpha Zero and tried his way to talk him out.

"Alpha Zero it was i who betrayed you in the archives, for that i humbly asked for your forgiveness. But the pledge of alliance could not be undone, so there is nothing you could do about it except for one".

Alpha Zero snarled at him but did not attempt to kill him. Instead he shouted. "The traitor who forged the scroll and left it in the front of my Palace is the Beta of this Pack!

A loud gasped was overheard in the audience and the warrior wolves covered my mate and i from the chairs where we where sitting. I saw my father kept my mother behind and he showed no fear. I signaled Michael and another warrior beside him to stay standing in the front of their new Luna Queen, to protect her.

"W-where are you going?

A deeply worried voice of Carmela asked me when i got up from the chair.

"Stay here and be safe, i have to be in charge of this matter like a true King should! I know this is the first test in taking the throne, so rest assured my love the Moon Goddess is with me. We will get through these for sure.”

I tried to calm and leave but she insisted.

"I am coming with you!

I closed my eyes and shook my head. "Please Carmela, stay here and trust me. I wouldn't let anything happen to you like the last time, so please stay here and let the warriors protect you.”

“But...i wanted to help you”.

“No Carmela, I am the King and you're mate, i order you to follow what i said!

She whined and stay seated, I didn't mean to used my Alpha tone at her but if that's what will keep her safe then i am going to used it whenever. I took the steps a little closer to Maleficus looking at the furious Alpha in front of us.

Alpha Zero is pacing back and forth, growling and almost shifting into a wolf form. His canines are already coming out from his mouth and his eyes are shooting bullets of nasty sight.

I saw Gemer and the other warriors aphrehended the shocked beta of my pack..Matias.

The man i have lived and trained with since i was young, his father died protecting the King in battle. And with that their family was blessed, my father the former King made a promised for them. All the first son of their clan will be the Beta of the Langstone’s future Alpha.

It was a reward, that he should have taken care of. But instead, he betrayed me. He go against the Royal pack rules and plotted the death of his Alpha and the Alpha of the North as well. So Moon Goddess forgive me but today i would punish the first criminal under my rule as King.

"Alpha King Jack! You gave me no choice, i am here to punish the traitor because i could not go against you. You're plan was very clever, i gave you that! But remember this moment because even if you are the Alpha King now, but the throne will not protect you from your enemies. Like how you are fooled by your own Beta!

“Give me the man who wants the downfall of my pack! Let me kill him with my own bare hands!

He shouted and growl like a beast. I saw how Matias flinched but stood still. His mouth shut but his eyes are full of remorse.

“Give me a few moments to talk to the criminal Alpha Zero, he deserves to speak the truth of his crime.”

Alpha Zero smirked. It is true, i was betrayed under my nose and it almost cost me everything. To sum up the things that happened, this would make me indebted to the Alpha of the North. He was the one who made us find the culprit, he was the one who made a fuss with the message in a scroll.

"Alpha Zero, as the new King of all Alpha i have to be a fair King. Even if the traitor is my beta, I believe that he deserves to be heard!

I turned backwards to the two big warriors holding Beta Matias by the arms. He didn't struggle and allowed them to drag him closer to us, but what made me wonder is the anger written all over his face. Looking at Alpha Zero and me.

"Now that this snake is here, what happens Alpha King Jack?

Alpha Zero growled and lunge to the traitor but the warrior wolves stopped him that he could have made the kill if not for his muscular beta beside him. Who helped my warriors.

"Matias! Is there anything you want to say for the crime you have created. We saw how you plotted everything under Maleficus's vision. It wasn't enough that you conspired with Freyah, a witch who tried to hide your criminal acts from getting exposed."

"But she was caught and being held in prison under the dungeons, and one of the reasons why her magic slowed down. And thanks Moon Goddess because of that we caught you!

Everyone was looking at my former Beta...Matias, he doesn't deserve the name Beta anymore!

He is a traitor! And today he will be judged.
