The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

The last thing I remember before everything went black is looking at her bloody figure. And her eyes staring back at me with the color as red as blood and her face tarnished from my claws. I have no feeling of pity or regret from what I have done, instead my heart is full of remorse. My heart throbs and gushes blood from the silver knife that she stabbed me, then I heard Gemer's voice together with the pack warriors. And that's when I had lost the remaining bits of my consciousness.

I heard voices around me but i am too weak to open my eyes. I could feel the presence of my mate the King Alpha closer to where I am lying down. Knowing I have defied his orders made me a little anxious to wake up. Then I heard Maleficus who's talking to the pack doctors and telling them not to worry and they can all go home.

I'm still alive, for that I am so thankful to the Moon Goddess and the pack's warriors who get to me in time. My heart is less painful and it's making me a little bit relieved..

The warm feel of Jack's hand covering mine pulled me back to my senses. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked a couple of times before focusing on the figure sitting beside me.

I gasped for air and finally woke up.

"Hush my love, lay down and reserve your strength. Everything is alright".

King Alpha Jack squeezed my hand gently and his eyes lowered against mine. My heart fluttered and completely recovers from the pain of my wound.

Then a thought crosses my mind.

"I'm alright, where is Maleficus? I would like to talk to him".

"Maleficus?

A confused looked on Jack's face stared back at me, before he figured out and answered.

"He's already back in his place my love, after he assured the pack's doctors and me that you are fine. And if you are worried about what happened to that woman, you don't have to worry no more. Maleficus and Freyah are not affiliated by blood."

My brows furrowed while holding hands with Jack.

"Oh, but aren't they siblings. They looked quiet similar and Malifecus claimed her as his sister".

"No, my love. Maleficus is descended from the ancient witches of the Langstone family while Freyah is just an adopted witch. She had been betraying the witches of this Kingdom when she conspired with Matias and deceived me. She was treated as a family, and her fascination with spells and medicine had made Maleficus to get fond of her and accepted her as his own sister. He cared about her, but she choose the other way".

I was stunned with the truth.

"But i feel like i still need to apologized to Maleficus for what i have done".

"No! It isn't your fault".

Alpha Jack's voice became louder than normal making his obvious objection against what I said. "I could never forgive her for what she did to you. This is the second time Carmela, the second time she tried to take away your life and i am not sorry for her death! She deserved it, the Moon Goddess had punished her for the awful things that her and Matias have planned."

I sighed and moved closer towards Jack. Looking deep in his light brown eyes. He looked exhausted and weary but that didn't lower the strong sexual appeal that he have for me. My eyes lowered to his moist and sensual mouth. Then my lips slightly parted, diverting from his anger on that woman.

Jack groaned and pulled me closer against his hard chest and like a mirror of my own feelings against him, it's like reading what's going through my mind when he slammed his lips against mine.

It feels like we haven't kissed for ages the way his lips hungrily covers mine, and the way my lips quivered against his warm mouth.

"I've missed you so much, you couldn't imagine the pain i felt when i saw you covered in blood near the Palace walls".

He murmured against my mouth. Then his kisses lowered to my neck, which made me tilt my head backwards allowing him more access. He sucks and nibbles my skin before lowering his wet kisses on my chest. But he suddenly pulled away when something caught his eye and he stared at me in shocked.

"Y-you're wound!

He asked in a confused manner, so i answered him smiling.

"It doesn't hurt anymore my love. It's like nothing happened".

Jack suddenly ripped the front of my evening gown and smirked.

"Yes, it is nothing. Oh My! you did not even have a tiny bit of scar in your chest! Even I takes many hours to recover from a wound done by a genuine silver knife. But you have diminished all the trace in less than two hours."

"Is that a bad thing? I asked in a slightly worried voice.

"Bad thing? Oh no! Of course it's the opposite my love, what i mean is you are fascinating!

He grabs me by my shoulders and chuckled against my ear.

"But i still wouldn't consider you getting hurt again! I swear to the Moon Goddess i would protect you with my life, and this incident just implicated my honor. I have let you down the second time, I could not forgive myself if you are harmed ever again".

His hands on my shoulders tightened a bit but I don't care. The most amazing words coming from his mouth have put me on the highest clouds, i felt like the most precious thing his life have ever protected.

"No, it was my fault. Y-you told me to stay in our chambers but i was stubborn. I went out in hoped that i could help you with the pack's duties. I was worried about you being the only one who works for the safety of this Palace. I am your Queen, I should be with you and support you every step of the way. I-i just wanted to help you in any way that i think i could".

I trembled and hugged him tight.

"Oh sweetheart, you don't have to. You are my Queen, keeping yourself safe is the most important thing in my list. You should stay inside the Palace and bear our little pups then socialize with the other Lunas. Only those are your duties".

A soft giggles escaped my lips. "I would be happy to bear our children but to socialize with other Lunas, I am not sure".

Alpha Jack just laughed a little and then hold me closer. "Please swear to me Carmela, that from now on you would mind link me whenever you smelled danger. And you don't get out of our place alone. Promised me you would take care of yourself and think about your safety always!

I could traced a slight feeling of fear and insecurity against his voice. I didn't meant to have worried him so much. Sometimes I am just acting on impulse without thinking, and that needed to change I know.

"Alright I swear I would keep myself safe at all times and mind link you whenever I noticed danger".

Alpha King Jack nodded his head in recognition. He is glad to hear the words coming from my mouth.

“Get some rest my love, I am just here to watch you until you fall asleep”.

I shivered a little when the cool air touched my naked skin did he forgot that he had just ripped and torn my evening dress and he expects me to sleep just after that. I refuse to be sexually frustrated tonight.

I boldly took his hand and place it on my naked chest. “Do you think I could just sleep after what happened?

I would love to bear our first child together and provide an heir for Alpha King Jack. That way he would be pleased to me as his Queen Luna. Oh yes, an heir! A child to follow on the footsteps of Alpha Jack. Excitement and love flooded through my veins when I pulled him closer to lay down with me.
