The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

It is already eight in the evening and i am sitting anxiously inside our cold and quiet room. My heart beats excitedly, that it gets louder with each passing minute inside my chest, thinking about Jack coming home in any moment from now. Just like how he promised.

I have chosen an incredibly short lingerie with just a lace thong inside. I stayed for about an hour in a bath with essential oils and some rose scent. But an hour have passed and still there's no sign of him coming home. A deep sigh escape my lips and I am starting to worry..that's when i felt him calling in the mind link.

"Carmela, are you still awake?."

His voice sounded troubled and i felt the exhaustion entangled in his breathing.

"Yes my love...i am actually waiting for you".

I answered without reluctance, hoping he had finished the patrol in the borders of the Royal Pack.

"I'm so sorry my love..please come to the palace council room tonight I.. had a little injury and Maleficus is treating me".

The news caught me by surprised, that is not what I am expecting that he would say.

"What injury!? Are you alright? I'll be there quickly, please tell me what happened".

I couldn't stop my voice from shaking and with no time to change at my wardrobe, I grab the long robe from the dressing room and put it on top of what i am wearing.

"Let's talk as soon as you get here..love". He replied before closing the link.

I quickly mind linked Gemer to accompany me which is just staying closed to our chambers.

Along the way I was silent, my thoughts is all over Jack and his situation at the moment. I am quietly praying to the Moon Goddes that nothing bad has happened to him.

When we arrived I saw him sitting on a chair with Maleficus leaning down to put some bandage on his chest. My heart is again in fear for his physical injury just like months ago.

I noticed another man was seated across him and I could not be mistaken. Alpha Zero of the North? What is he doing here, and could he have something to do with what happened to Jack?

"A pleasant evening Queen Carmela, I hope I'm not intruding in your Palace at this time of the night."

I gulped a lump in my throat when his eyes turned to me and travelled to my clothes. I didn't expect Jack to have a guest, I have thought it would only be Maleficus.

Unable to answer him, i just nodded my head and then I looked back at Jack, sitting there with a dark and weary expression in his face. But when our eyes meet his dark expression changes into someone who's glad to see me.

"Jack are you alright, oh please..tell me what happened?

I hurried to his side and hold his hand. Maleficus stepped back and nod towards me.

"I am good now my love, now that I see your face. We had a little encounter with the rogues who was being chased by Alpha Zero and his wolves from the Cold Mountain. One of the rogues had hit me with a silver arrow in the chest, but it isn't so bad because I am immune".

I gasped and stare at the white bandage covering his upper body. It looked like the wound is deep. Before I could say something back Maleficus was quick to tell me his condition just like reading my mind.

"Do not worry my Queen, the King's heart is healing fast. Give him about four to six hours and you can removed the bandage."

"Oh, good to hear that Maleficus".

Taking a deep calming breath I turned back my gaze at King Alpha Jack and hold his hand while he smiled at me. The heat in his golden eyes suddenly lit up when his stare go lower from my face into my outfit. The noticeable lace above the thick covering of the robe. He recognizes my sexy lingerie inside.

"Well, I think I need to be excused my King. I would have to check on Beta Michael again".

Jack's expression changed to a worried frown hearing from Maleficus about his Beta.

"Please mind linked me his condition..i would never forgive myself if something bad happened to Beta Michael. Unlike me, he isn't immune to a silver arrow and he took two hits from those rogues!".

I heard Alpha Zero cleared his throat and I turned back to give him a glanced. His gaze is cold and dangerous like a beast being provoked.

"No worries my Alpha King, my wolves and I will hunt them down and we will not stop until I crushed every last one of them!".

I inhaled deeply at the intensity of his voice. He meant what he says and i will have no doubt that the rogues will suffer by his hands.

"Alpha Zero, i am giving you and your wolves the consent to search and patrol the Royal pack territory. But just until my wounds are healed and i hoped with my Beta as well".

"Very well King Alpha Jack and Queen Carmela. I'll be taking advantage of this permission, to hunt and destroy every last one of the rogues who's hiding in your territory tonight."

He turned to me and made his last bid of goodbye. "Hope you two enjoy the rest of your evening".

"Thank you Alpha Zero". I replied shortly, unable to look on same level with his blazing eyes. Why do i have the feeling that Alpha Zero is even more dangerous than the rogues, but i shook those feelings away and i still felt glad that Jack turned out to only get minor injuries. But I couldn't say the same to his Beta. I feel bad for Beta Michael, I hoped he survived his wounds.

Alpha Zero nod his head towards me and with a last looked of recognition from Alpha King Jack, he strutted out of the room.

With Maleficus and Alpha Zero gone, Jack pulled me to his lap. A surprised gasped escaped my lips and familiar feelings stirred inside my heart.

"Hey, are you trying not to make your wounds heal?.

I asked being careful not to stay closed enough to his bandaged chest while straddling on top of him in the chair. He groaned not from the pain but from the heat that we both are feeling. A sweet sensation awakens inside my body and down to the middle of my thighs which is feeling his hardened manhood.

"My wounds up here doesn't even sting a bit now, but down there an ache is starting to get unbearable with each second that I looked at you."

His voice husky with passion, i felt my excitement and worry mixed. His hands did not waste time as it went down to the knot of the robe in my stomach, and before i could say anything the robe slide down my body and fell on the floor. Revealing the thin fabric of my night wear.

Jack took a sharp breath in, and another groan vibrated from his throat. One of his hand squeezed my waist while the other pushed me back to lean on the edge of the table. I leaned back unable to move as Jack buried his face in between my breast, kissing them on top of the tiny fabric.

I got up from leaning against the table and gave him time to lower his trousers down. Now he have nothing on but just the white bondage covering his chest.
