The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

I've let Princess Jasmin went out ahead of me, as I have something private to discuss with Maleficus. After the door shuts, I took a deep breath and speak with the wizard.

"Maleficus, Can you know how long does it take before a newborn is going to appear in our lives?

An obvious surprised was written at the face of Maleficus when he looked at me because of my question. But his shoulders dropped and he gave me a pessimistic expression on his face.

"I'm sorry my Queen, i still can't say when. But i am certain that you will have."

"Does it mean at the moment, i..am not at all by any chance on the way?."

I had voiced out a question unaware of spilling my hidden longing for an heir to the old wizard.

He shook his head before he answered.

"My Queen, don't lose hope. It is too quick for any disappointment coming from a young and healthy Luna like yourself. If it isn't this month then continue for the next, remember the Full Wolf Moon does not just gave energy to the wolves. But it is also a good time to create an offspring".

The smile on the old wizards face has reinforced the idea in my mind.

"For how long do you think the Full wolf moon lasts?". I asked with a hoped in my heart.

"In two to three days my Queen".

"Very well then, thank you for advising Maleficus and I hoped we have not given you so much trouble tonight."

"Not at all my Queen, please have a nice evening".

Maleficus bowed his head to me when i walk towards the door and retreated for the night.

Princess Jasmin laid back silently at the back of the car seats. She looked lost in a very deep thought. Her beautiful arched brows are almost meeting with each other and her arms folded at her chest. She looked exactly not pleased by the identity of her mate. But no one could question the fate of every wolf as it is controlled by the Moon Goddess.

When the car stopped at the entrance of our chambers. I turned towards her to bid good night.

" Sleep well tonight Jas, Do not overthink about your mate. I am sure the Moon Goddess will let you know with her plans very soon. Just look forward to your birthday".

"Thank you Carmela, I know I couldn't have faced all of that visions alone if you weren't there for me."

I hold her hand and squeezed it, while she forced a tiny smile in her lips before I got out of the car.

We have not gone for a long time outside, the antique clock inside the bedroom strikes at ten thirty when I stepped foot at the shower. And as the water washes my entire day away, my mind drifted to where Jack is and what time he would come home.

I sighed and hoped this is not one of those days that he would sleep in the other side of the Palace. Because we have already been back to normal after his encounter with the rogues. And after the wild passion we shared inside the huge council room.

After finishing a quick shower, I put on a silk short dress and get inside the sheets, what Maleficus said about the Full wolf moon came back to me. I just hoped Jack would return home earlier.

I was having those thoughts when my mind took me inside a deep sleep.

It was already six in the morning when I opened my eyes and felt Jack's arm under my head. I sighed in relief, so it only means he did come home last night. I was just not awake to tell what time.

"Good morning my love".

His husky voice in the morning made me feel suddenly hot all over. He opened his light brown eyes and looked at my face. His handsome features that i will never get tired of looking is just an inch away from mine.

"Morning.."

I whispered back at him, then he pulled me closer for a tight embrace before he kisses my forehead.

"I am needed early in the training grounds today. I have invited a very strong Alpha to help the wolves in our pack for the practice this morning". Jack casually mumbles against my hair, inhaling my scent and giving me sweet kisses on my cheeks.

"Oh, is that so? Well can i go with you? Since i am terribly bored being here all day most of the time".

I asked him but I wouldn't take no, i wanted to meet with the warriors again since it's been a while.

"Alright love..then let's go get a shower!

A shrieked escape from me when he suddenly stand up from the bed taking me in his arms like I weighed nothing. We went directly under the shower and Jack turned on the faucet before putting me down.

It's been a long time since we have done it under the running water inside the bathroom. I started getting hot when Jack kisses the back of my neck, while i am facing the wall and he is behind me.

His hands are quick to removed my short night dress before undressing himself. The feel of the water on my naked skin pale in comparison with the touch of his hand all over my body. Jack picked up the liquid soap and washed both of our bodies together while i stood there giggling and laughing like a child under the shower.

But that was until my body felt aroused and familiar feelings started to surface.

And when we were done with the soap and had shampoo on our hair, we rinsed each other thoroughly. His hands against my skin is quickly replaced with his hot and hungry mouth. I know we would end up like this and i am enjoying the pleasures.

After a few moments...

My moans and his, mixed with the noise of the running water...when we started to made love inside the bathroom.
