The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

The unfamiliar scents of other warriors assaulted my nostrils when we arrived at the dome training grounds which is located outside the Royal Palace. I had put on a training suit, ready whenever Jack allows me to have a spar. Because before we left the chambers, he had told me not to.

"You don't have to join the pack warriors for training my love. But you can be there, if you promise to only watch."

So I smiled and answered "of course". But right now I would really love to try and stretch my muscles out. The last time I did it feels like a very long time ago.

The huge door is open outside the some, with the two wolf guards from our pack. There eyes was directly looking at us when we approached near.

"Good day King Alpha Jack and Queen Luna Carmela".

Both warriors are feeling uneasy while giving us their greetings and I couldn't help but wonder why. I haven't asked Jack from which region is the Alpha that proposed to help for the training today.

"Good morning, how are the warriors doing?".

Alpha Jack asked the two wolves standing on guard at the entrance. Both of them are tall, young and well built. They looked at each other before one of them answered.

"They are alright my King, they just seem to be intimidated with our visitors but it’s a relieve they aren't here for trouble. Specially that beta Michael is not around and still nursing his injuries."

Jack just nodded his head, while I frowned. I am glad Beta Michael survived his wounds. But I am curious about the identity of the visitors and it is almost eating my heart out.

"What about Gemer and Princess Jasmin?".

"Gemer is inside King Alpha Jack, but Princess Jasmin is..not here".

Now the other wolf guard has answered him. Jack sighed and hold my hand.

"Let's get inside and welcome Alpha Zero, love."

I thought there was a mistake with the name of the Alpha that he mentioned, but it was quite clear. And is he asking for Princess Jasmin? I had a little alarm setting up with the idea of Alpha Zero being here.

When we arrived where the training is held, i saw them immediately. Standing out from the Royal pack warriors, not because they look bigger or stronger but because they are wearing they same all black clothes.

“Alpha Zero, I'm glad you came! So, how do you think we can improve the strength of my warriors”.

Jack was quick to asked him when we stand closed enough to the wolves in action. Alpha Zero is observing every warrior wolves, calculating their moves and giving signals. He stood towering in his height of about six foot five, while Jack is just an inch lower. But he doesn't intimidate the King Alpha, unlike the warrior wolves.

He turned his back to them and faced us.

“Good day King Alpha Jack and Queen Carmela! It's my pleasure to be here, the warriors of your pack is very welcoming and I am admiring how they handily understand the little recommendations that me and my best warriors are giving”.

Alpha Zero crossed his big arms around his chest, his aura is so strong and rough there's no ounce of him showing any gentleness. The confidence in the way he talked only fits a powerful wolf with in.

“That’s a very good aspect Alpha Zero, how many warriors have you brought here?”.

“Just six but only the best! First is my Beta Derek, he’s a very strong wolf. Tough on battles and can lift from three to five wolves in the air. He loves to train in carrying heavy things. How He's muscles are developed is an asset he could share with your warriors”.

Alpha Jack nodded his head. “That’s really impressive.”

While the two of them continued their conversation, I watched and notice the only woman in the training grounds. His white hair standing out as it moves in every direction her body is bending. She's giving Gemer a tough one on one spar.

She's fierce her fist landed in Gemer’s ribs one after the other. Connecting them while Gemer is stunned. I could almost feel his pain when he fell in the ground.

“Good job Ayah!

Alpha Zero shouted, while the woman smirked. Jack’s expression dimmed he disliked the scene, I don’t blame him. I didn’t liked it either.

“I couldn’t say the same to you Gemer, please stand up and don’t embarrassed me by getting knocked down by our guest”. Come on warriors! Show the guests what you’ve got. Today is a practice but don’t held back, as much as we need to learn something from the Cold Mountain warriors we also need to work hard on this spar”.

Gemer forced himself to get up when he saw me and heard Alpha King Jack. The woman looked my way and smiled. Well, at least she’s not as bad as i thought.

“Why don’t i get to spar with the Cold Mountain warriors?

I asked, but my gazed is at Alpha Zero. Perhaps challenging him. His eyes are cold and dark, i almost regret what i said.

Jack shook his head violently, and spoke before Alpha Zero could even open his mouth to say something.

“No, love. There’s a reason why you can’t”.

I smiled because, it wasn’t really a serious request. I just wanted to see how this warriors would react, and they were quiet for a while.

“Today is all about showing each pack our own individual strength and tomorrow we could start on the real training.”

Alpha Zero spoke and stood there arrogantly with Jack beside him. I wondered how these two are even friends when I thought no one likes the Alpha of the North.

“By the way my King, I thought you’re sister will join us today. I had not seen her around.”

He casually asked Jack who sighed and looked at me. It as if saying i know where her sister is. I diverted my eyes to the wolves training, I don’t want to talk about Princess Jasmin’s whereabouts with them. Her secret is safe with me and with Maleficus.

“I have sent someone to fetch her from the chambers. I tried the mind link but she wouldn’t answer.”

Alpha Zero’s smile was lopsided. “Why don’t you let me be in-charge of training her, i am a skilled warrior in taming spoiled little brats.”

“Oh, i think that’s a good idea Alpha Zero. I couldn’t handle her..since the former King and Queen spoil her so much. I didn’t blame them for that, but the situation has change, she needs to defend herself without relying on the warriors of the pack.”

I gasped while standing closer to Jack. Why would he agree to that idea? I don't want Jasmin to be with Alpha Zero, not even for one second and let alone gave him the permission to train here. He doesn't know why her sister doesn’t want to be in the training grounds right now, and I am about to tell him. When i felt the Princess calling me in the mind linked.

“Carmela are you with them?

I took quick steps away from the two. But when I turned my back I heard a groan from Jack, he knows his sister is calling in my mind link.

“Yes! And where are you?

I asked feeling a little uncomfortable with Jack’s eyes boring holes behind me.

“I am going to the city and decided to stay with my human friends for a while. Please take care of yourself and tell my brother not to find me, I will be back before my birthday comes. Keep our secret unknown, until I'm ready. Thank you so much Carmela”.

“Y-youre welcome...but-

I was not able to asked anymore when the mind linked is closed. I gasped when I felt Jack closer behind my back, his breathe is fanning my hair.

“Where is she this time?”.

He asked in a husky voice but he sounded impatient. His holding back his annoyance for his sister but I know just how to kill his curiosity away. I am still grateful he did not overheard what Princess Jasmin has told me.

“My love, the Princess is alright and just wandering in the city for a little shopping and get together with her female friends. There's nothing to worry about”.

I faced him holding his handsome features in between my palms. He suddenly softened under my touched, weakened by my loving gesture.

“The situation has change love, I worry for her safety. There are rogues in the city and for some reasons, there scents are masked. She could be in danger, if she calls again asked her location and I will send a few warriors to keep her safe.”

Right there I knew Jack is just worried about her. But I didn't know exactly where she is and I am not sure if she's going to call back. Alpha Zero was looking our way with his eyes full of interest, that I wondered if he knew what we were talking.
