The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

The next evening came so fast, the night that the witch have told me. It was also the last night of the warriors from the cold mountain pack, and Jack is with Alpha Zero in the council room. He had told me earlier that he would be coming home late. But I am still up because of my thoughts about the proposition from Ayah.

But I cannot do it, I won't pushed Princess Jasmin to be with Alpha Zero. Yes I love Jack and I wanted to give him an heir so bad but I couldn't just agree to her condition. I have to reconsider the feelings of Princess Jasmin too. I sighed and sat down the bed with my confused mind.

"My Queen there is a gift for you from one of the warriors in the Cold Mountain Pack".

Cory tells me while holding a red rectangular box in her hands. She stood in the middle of the bedroom door waiting for my approval to come in.

"Oh, is that so? Please come in Cory and let me see from who exactly is that."

Cory stepped inside and handed me the gift. I am wondering from who, it's not like Alpha Zero would handed me a gift when I know that right now he is having a meeting with Jack.

I felt the box a little heavier than it looks, it weights something like a liquid bottle of perfume or a spray.

"You can retire for the night Cory, and also Claire. Thank you for today".

I decided to dismissed the only audience that I have. If it is what I thought it is, no one should know it but me.

"Your welcome Queen Carmela, good night."

When she pulled the door of the bedroom closed I quickly opened the box for myself. Tearing the red cover, I opened it. And I was not mistaken, it is indeed a bottle full of liquid inside and attached to it is a message.

I read the message which says:

"My Queen I know you are confused but let me make this easy for you. Drink the bottle if you agree or throw it away if you don't. If you agree, I am taking Princess Jasmin my way.

The message ended with a name Ayah at the end. My hand shook while holding the bottle. So this is the answer to my problem. I don't know why but I started to feel really thrilled and when I hold the bottle in my hand, my fingers turned the small lid opening it. And without thinking, I put it towards my lips and emptied the contents through my mouth.

I drank it all, it tasted sweet like honey. A few seconds past when I realized what I have done.

"Oh no! Looking at my hand, i dropped the bottle on the floor and wipe my mouth with the back of my palm. My regret is too late.

I couldn't undo it anymore, I ran to the bathroom and open the faucet above the squeaky clean sink. I crampled the tiny piece of paper and throw it in the garbage before another soul could find it to read. Then I wash my mouth. In an attempt to wash or throw up all the content of that bottle in my stomach. But I couldn't anymore, it is done. Now I just have to face the consequences of what happens next.

"Oh Moon Goddess please forgive me if I made a mistake.."

I uttered the words while grabbing a small white towel to path my face dry. Then I walked slowly to the bed. I laid flat on the bed with my eyes staring up at the ceiling, I didn't know what time I have fall asleep.

Another day came and then a week. I almost forgot what happened. Things were back to normal, when suddenly the news of Princess Jasmin coming back to the palace came. A silent fear slowly rise from my heart.

The next day she paid me a visit,unexpectedly. "Hello Carmela! Did you missed me?

I felt a little shocked looking at her face. She didn't inform me through mind link that she's in the Palace already, or that she wanted to come and visit me. Now is not a good time. Since earlier in the morning I wasn't feeling alright.

"Jasmin!, since when have you been home? How come you never contacted me?

I smiled and gave her a tight hug. She chuckled beside my ear.

"I'm sorry, I was having a really good time with my human friends".

"Oh, that's great! But you know we were worried about you. Specially your brother you could have sent us a message, by the way have you two spoke?

I asked casually while taking her to sit in the comfort of the wide luxury sofa. We both sat down and I leaned my back against the soft fabric of the seat while listening to her.

I tried forgetting my fears and focused on what’s in front of me.

"My brother knows I'm back already but he has not spoken to me yet."

I felt my stomach churned when I smelt a familiar scent in the air. My mate is home, there’s no mistake when Jack came in.

Princess Jasmin had her smile froze and her eyes darted towards him.

"Oh so the spoiled little Princess have returned! Well, we're have you been all this time?

Jack's jaw clenched while his brows furrowed while looking at her, he took longer strides to sat beside me and give me a quick kiss in the lips. His face softened while I held his gaze with a smile.

"Brother, you knew I'm not up for violence or wanted to learn those skills in harming other wolves."

Princess Jasmin pouted and crossed her arms around her chest.

"But you have to learn how to fight! In one way or another, wolves are no angels my dear. What will happen if you encounter rogues outside the palace? You are a defenseless she wolf! You should not rely with the pack warriors everytime, you have to take this seriously Jasmin".

The dominance in his voice have reminded us both that Jack is not only my husband or Pricess Jasmin's bother. But he is also the Alpha King.

Princess Jasmin lowered her eyes on the floor because she couldn't speak her other reason for fleeing that day. It was a secret that only both of us know, or perhaps Maleficus too.

"Alright I will try and visit the training grounds tomorrow".

She sighed while looking back at him.

"Oh no, too late for that Princess. I know you will only toy with Gemer on the training grounds or persuade the other she wolves to do something else. I have a special training arranged for you and something that will let you experience a life away from the comfort that you always knew. I want you to learn Jas, and I mean it".

Jack is serious and I wanted to support him and his intentions. So I held his hand and listened to him too.

"What kind of training is that bother? If you insists then I will obey willingly".

His sister spoke wanting to hear what he would say next. Princess Jasmin doesn't want to argue with him anymore, I could feel it in her words.

"You will train with the Cold Mountain pack, under the surveillance of Alpha Zero. We have this all planned out and polished, I am just waiting for your return. Tomorrow he is coming to pick you up and take you to the Cold Mountain Pack. Three months Jas, I'm giving you three months to learn. And being there is safe for you. Even more safe than you going into the human world".

My jaw dropped and so is Princess Jasmin's. She gasped loudly and we both looked at each other. None of us could utter a word in return. But her eyes pleading me, asking me of what she would say.

"My King are you certain about all this? Maybe it's better for Princess Jasmin to stay. I could train with her and help her if you want."

But Jack just smile and cupped my face. "No my love you have better things to do than help her. She have been very naive with the things that's happening outside the palace. I wanted her to learn, even the former King and Queen have planned this out before. But..this would only happen now. I promised them I would take care of the Kingdom and it starts with ourselves as the family who leads".

My mind just suddenly turned dizzy with the things he just said. And I quickly got up from the couch, pushed his hands away and ran towards the huge bathroom.

I made a loud noise that echoed in the room as I throw up inside the toilet. I was not able to even close the door. My stomach just literally throw everything out, everything that I have eaten since last night. I think I looked the worst when I wash my entire face and stare at my reflection at the bathroom mirror. My skin is pale and my eyes are weary. I am just so not feeling well today.

"Oh my love! Finally!

Jack exclaimed with Princess Jasmin, they stood outside the bathroom, with their faces grinning from ear to ear. How did this two look different suddenly, when they were just having a very serious talked seconds ago.

Jack immediately walk towards me then hug me from behind and rubbed my stomach with his palm. Shocked run through my viens when realization hit me in his gesture. Is this really possible?!

"My love you are pregnant, I could feel it in my hand."

He happily whispered and kissed my hair.

My mind suddenly couldn't process everything. I don't know if I will be happy or sad and I fear about the deal I made with Ayah. My excitement worries and fear collide, and suddenly my world turned around and I fell into a dark place. I heard Jacks worried voice when he catches me in his arms.
