The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

A grand celebration follows after the Alpha King, my dear husband and my eternal mate announced to everyone that I am pregnant. Carrying the heir to the Langstone throne.

The wolves in our pack were thrilled. The Alpha's of the four regions are coming. Every wolves in the entire world rejoices, well maybe not all.. Except for the number of rogues that are still out there. Hiding in the deepest part of the jungles, or making themselves invisible, blending in the humans of the city.

But for now, everyone's trouble seemed to be set aside and what were focused on is the coming of an heir. Maleficus have not yet revealed the gender, but Jack and I are hoping it is a boy. But regardless of the gender, an heir is what we needed the most.

"Let's go my love... Are you ready?".

Jack asked looking at my face before his eyes traveled down to my flat stomach. My baby bump is barely visible with the dark evening gown. I smiled at him and tucked my hand in his elbow.

“Yes love I am ready.”

With a smile we walked together exiting the chambers.

The Palace's grand hall is ones again lively and full of guests. The four alphas from the four regions are present, as I watched them one by one. I spotted Alpha Zero sitting on a table. He is sitting with his beta Derek and his female warrior...the witch, Ayah.

I averted my eyes from the grey haired woman and squeezed Jack's hand. He then lowered his head smiling down at me and give a soft kiss on top of my hair. My lashes fluttered as i smiled back at him.

We sat down in a special chairs above everyone else inside the hall. Holding hands we watches as the people chatted happily, enjoying the grand celebration celebration of the Royal Pack. Then Maleficus came, walking with Princess Jasmin by his side. Both were smiling and full of delight.

"I'm so happy for you Carmela! I am already excited to see the new member of our family".

Princess Jasmin bends down and kissed me on both cheeks.

"Thank you Jas, I am truly grateful too".

She sits beside me while Maleficus nods towards me and sat on the chair beside Jack. But I could sense a little discomfort between Jack and her sister, he just nodded to his sister while Princess Jasmin just threw him a cold looked.

I do hoped he will not send her to Alpha Zero anymore and just keep her training on the Royal pack grounds. But we haven't talked about the issue yet and i know i could not stop Jack from his decision. Above all, he is still the Alpha King.

The more she stays away from Alpha Zero, the more the circumstances just drew her near him the most. It doesn't take an effort on my part, like how Ayah wants me to do. Or is it possible she's pulling the strings too? I stopped my thoughts when Maleficus stood up front.

"Ladies and gentlemen, you're attention please!

Maleficus tries to get everyone's attention to him as he rings a small bell in his hand. The people stopped chatting and smiled at him while listening to the next words that's he's going to say.

"I am proud to announce to every wolves present today, that the Alpha King and the Queen Luna have finally received a gift from the Moon Goddess. We have been waiting for this in quite sometime now. And just few days ago, it is confirmed by...your's truly. That the Queen is finally carrying an heir!".

The audience made a loud cheer and the Alphas of the four regions raises their glasses towards Jack and me. I am overwhelmed. Jack looked at me with his eyes overflowing with love. Our bond is even stronger than before, our love bloomed abundantly and our faith is unbreakable.

"I am so proud of you my love, and to our future child. I love you more, a thousand times than before".

My cheeks burn as he places a soft kiss on both. "And I love you so much to too my King."

We sealed our lips for the sweetest kiss in front of the pack.

Maleficus clapped his hands and Princess Jasmin beside me whispered. "Congratulations to you both".

She also clapped her hands. As I scan my eyes on the crowd, I notice the mysterious smile on the woman beside Alpha Zero. She bowed her head towards me, reminding me of the last conversation we had. There is a little concern that is slowly rising from the deepest part of my heart. But I don't want to be bothered by it for now.

Alpha Zero clapped his hands too and raised his glass of champagne towards us. Jack replied by doing the same.

"Now, let's hear the four Alpha's from different regions of the world as one by one they will come forward and give their wishes for the Alpha King and his Queen".

A cheer was heard when the Alpha of the East, Alpha Li jun and his mate Luna Chunhua came forward. There smiles are genuine, we know this will make our alliance to get stronger.

"Alpha King Jack and Queen Luna Carmela, we welcome the coming of the new heir to the throne. My mate and i wishes you a safe delivery and a healthy baby soon".

"My warmest thanks Alpha Lijun and Luna Chunhua, thank you for coming". Jack shook his hand with the Alpha of the East.

They have put a small gift at the table beside me. I nod and smiled at them while holding my stomach. It's as if my baby felt the joy i am feeling and he rejoices inside of me too.

The next couple to moved forward is the Alpha of the West. Alpha Wesley and his mate Luna Cassy.

"May the coming of this little bundle of joy, bring peace and prosperity to the wolf lands. Alpha King Jack and Queen Carmela, congratulations to both of you".

"Thank you Alpha Wesley and Luna Cassy".

The couple smiled and also leaved a gift box at the table beside me. I am starting to wonder what could be their gifts are? And if this is really necessary, but i have to indulge Jack. It's not like this event would tire me so much, i am to just sit in the chair while the other wolves are coming one by one to offer their gifts after the Alphas of the four regions is finished.

The next couple is from the south.

"Alpha King Jack, and Luna Carmela. We would like to congratulate you both! And from the wolves of the south we promise to keep our alliance strong. May the baby came out strong like his father and beautiful like his mother."

His mate turned to me and asks. "My Queen can i ask if the baby is a boy or a girl?".

I smiled at her but Jack is the one who answered her question.

"Oh thank you so much Alpha Ace and Luna Kayla, but we still don't know our baby's gender".

Jack chuckled and squeezed my hand.

Alpha Ace smiled. "It doesn't matter actually, but we do hope you would soon announce the gender of the new heir, we will be happy to know exactly".

"Of course Alpha Ace".

When the next Alpha is on the way. Jack smiled and looks at him, Alpha Zero. I turned my gaze towards him and felt relieved when he moved forward alone. His Beta and the witch Ayah was left there sitting in their chairs.

"King Alpha Jack congratulations! An heir at last".

Alpha Zero genuinely give a little smile to Jack and nods his head towards me and then passes a cold stare at Princess Jasmin. I was well aware when Princess Jasmin hisses and turned her head away.

"Thank you Alpha Zero and again i am grateful for your presence tonight."

Alpha Zero smirked and shook Jack's hand.

"One more thing Alpha King, i will be leaving at dawn. I have an important matter to attend to in the Cold Mountain Pack. So that means..."

His face trailed to Princess Jasmin who's sitting beside me before he continues.

"I need Princess Jasmin to be ready for the journey. That is if you still want to go on with the plan of sending her to train under my care."

"Yes, Alpha Zero. She will be ready".

Princess Jasmin clenched her fists. But i know she couldn't argue with her brother anymore. Not in front of all the guests and with me beside her. Not in such a happy celebration like this. I stayed quiet and just listened to her harsh breathing.

Alpha Zero then walked in front of Princess Jasmin, and i notice how she tried to hide her trembling hands while looking up at him towering in front of her chair.

"Well Princess, you're training starts soon so I suggest you better get your things ready. You will be staying with me for the period of three months or until the day i say you are fit to defend yourself alone."

"Of course Alpha Zero, i just hoped you are as good as what my brother says you are. Otherwise i am opt to find a better warrior to train me".

She said through gritted teeth and forced smile, i could feel she's trying to hide her feelings on being bitter towards him.

Alpha Zero raised his brows and answers. "I assure you, i am the best Alpha trainer you will ever meet. Even the Alpha King himself have his faith in me, and i am not going to fail him. So princess you better hurry to your chambers now and asked your helpers to pack your things, i will be coming to take you at three am."

Even i wanted to protest at the time he said but Jack spoke to him instantly.

"Alpha Zero thank you so much, i trust you with my sister's life. She may hate me now but after this is all done, she would thank me for this opportunity".

"You're most welcome Alpha King Jack and Queen Carmela. I will protect and train her well. Rest assured she will come back as a good warrior and not just a naive and vulnerable little Princess that you knew”.

The cold Alpha has sincerity in his words that i noticed Jack smiled in satisfaction.

And then he left with one last look at Princess Jasmin beside me.

Princess Jasmin stood up and headed quickly towards the exit of the huge hall.

"Are you sure about this idea my King?..Princess Jasmin seemed really upset but she has no choice, she has to obey the Apha King's order somehow".

Jack smiled to me. "Do not worry about my sister love, she will be alright. And I trust Alpha Zero, he would never break his word to me".

His hand moved to caress my stomach and I felt the stirring of our baby just below my novel. It was amazing, It felt like i am not alone. The beating of my baby’s heart is like music to my ears.

"Don't even think of worrying yourself love..from now on, only happy thoughts and positive emotions for you and our baby. Please swear to me, you would tell me if there's anything that's bothering you. And I will deal with it personally."

He picked up my hand and brought it to his lips.

"Sure my love, thank you and I hope to give you the most beautiful children in the world. They will grow as mighty as you. If it is a boy, he will lead the wolves as the future Alpha King. If it is a girl, she will be beautiful and a heart full of love and compassion. She will be a Queen.”

As we sealed our deep love for each other with a kiss and a hug, the wolves around us, once again cheered with pride and joy.

“Long lived the Alpha King and His Queen!”.
