The King Alpha's Mate

*Carmela's POV*

I walked in to the big bathroom of his room and as I stepped inside i looked at myself in the mirror. Aside from swollen lips and slightly puffy eyes I've got nothing more to complain. I look the same as always, my black hair a bit messy from the bed but my cream color skin is still flawless. I turned my eyes around and I can't help but admire his huge masculine bathroom. It has a modern sink and a luxury shower, with an oversized tub and a beautiful vanity. But all the soaps and shampoos are for men.

I guess nothing wrong with using it only for today, so i turned on the shower and removed the shirt that I was wearing since last night. I waited for a few seconds till the water becomes warm before putting my feet inside the tub and closing the shower curtain behind. I let the water wash my body while in my mind i keep thinking about all the things that happened today. Oh God, how am I going to leave this place.

I used his shampoo and body wash unmindful of the scent if it's feminine or not, It doesn't matter for now. When I finished i turn the shower off and grab a clean white towels from the rack, one for my body and the other one for my hair.. I opened the drawers and check for a spare toothbrush, finding one i used it to brushed my teeth then rinsed my mouth with his minty mouthwash. I felt all clean and refreshed as I stepped out of his bathroom.

As I checked at myself in the big mirror of the room i notice a garments bag lying in the bed and a small paper bag. I took a peck inside, and found out there was a pair of underwear. The cook must have left it for me while i was taking a shower .

I removed a short black dress from the garment bag and just by looking at it i know it fits my size. I put it on me and loved the way the lace strap of the top cling on my shoulders. It covered just a little above my knee and my legs can move freely. I admire the little black dress and wished I'm wearing it for some happy occasion instead of being detained in a strange house with the company of wolves. I then picked up the blower and started drying my hair.

It wasn't long after I finished my hair when the door of the room opened.

"What the! Do you even know how to knock? My sudden reaction and my mouth just came out natural, but the truth is I'm all nervous seeing him again. The Alpha prince of the wolves.

"Why would i knock on my very own room". The sound of his voice is like a loud roar of a lion claiming his den. He walks towards me while a smirk is playing on his lips.

"I can see you took a shower, and you smell nice".

He sniff the air around me without touching but i can feel the strange tingling of my skin just by standing next to him. His aura made the room seemed small for both of us.

"I..i am feeling a bit dirty and somehow i think I needed a shower before eating."

I replied acting a little bit cool even though my heart is starting to beat faster than normal every time he took a step closer. He looked down on me with those tantalizing light brown eyes of his. He's just standing about a few inches away and he's not moving an inch now, I blink twice and noticed how he looked so devastating in a casual jeans and khaki military shirt with three buttons being opened. Showing off his chest hair that looks soft and made me thought of running my fingers on them.

His brows slightly furrowed and i almost held my breath when his hand raised to touched my hair.

"Why have you not eaten since morning? Came out a question that sounds grumpy in his throat.

"I didn't have an appetite, what do you expect from someone being held against their will? I gave him my answer trying to mask my emotions that's suddenly making me nervous.

His hand grab my shoulders and i am slammed against his hard chest. I felt the warmth of his body even against the clothing that we have on.

"I'm trying to ask you tenderly..don't you dare gave me words without respect Carmela! You are maybe my mate but I don't tolerate someone who disrespects her Alpha. Eat now".

He lowered his head against my right shoulder just a little bit near my ear. His warm breath sending shivers through my bare skin, my two hands move up to pushed him but as soon as my hands came in contact with his chest..i felt weak.

"Eat now Carmela before i lost my temper and shift into a wolf...you wouldn't want to get eaten would you?

His voice slow but dangerous and then he inhaled deeply at my neck which made me turned my head to the other side.

I am very nervous but excited, my stomach clutches and my knees are getting wobbly. I shouldn't be feeling like this over a man who's not even human. I closed my eyes trying to concentrate on shaking those feelings away.

"I'm not hungry."

I might be afraid but I'm a stubborn woman.

"What? Are you really going to defy me! He raised his voice and started holding both of my shoulders with his two hands. The feel of his rough palms against my skin is giving me the chills.

I opened my eyes and looked at him, his face grim and i can feel him strongly controlling his anger. But as I looked deep into the depths of his orbs he started calming himself. But still he wouldn't let me go, the grip on his hands are strong and possessive.

"I will eat when I'm hungry and you don't have to force me. You're presence is just making me lost my appetite all the more!

With that he pushed me hard that i would have fell terribly if not for the soft bed that catches me behind my back. I'm not hurt but i know that a man like him is nothing but a beast!

"Do whatever you want mate! But I forbid you in getting out of this room. Be ready at six pm your family is coming to bid you good bye. I will be taking you to the Langstone Palace as my mate and the future Luna of our Pack".

My eyes widened in panic.

"No! You can't take me. My father will come to get me away from here, I don't want to become a creature like you. I'm just human i want to stay human".

He gritted his teeth and his eyes threw daggers at me, he clenched his fist which made me scared that he would used them against me.

"You cannot run away from me my Mate! This is your destiny, you are to become my bride and the future queen of the Royal pack. No one is going to stop me from taking you, not even your father! And when we reach the Langstone Palace i will mark you and turn you into one of us."

"You will no longer be human, you will crave blood like the creature that i am. You will hunt and you will kill but only because you have the duty to the Pack.

You might not understand it now, but soon you will!

He turned his back as harsh as the words that came out of his mouth and then he slammed the door that i almost felt the entire house rattled.
