The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 238: Are You Done Spewing Folly?

"Your mother will be pleased when she finds out that you have revived her divine sense…"

"She is currently in cultivation seclusion just to get stronger and keep you safe from those who are thinking of killing you and ensuring you don't inherit your rightful position in the dynasty…"

"Keep getting stronger…"

"Though I cannot interfere in your life because that old goat is also keeping tabs on my movement..."

"Furthermore, they are very knowledgeable about the Karma Dao, thus, there is little I can do..."

"Thus, you should try as much as possible to stay alive… when you get to the clan, you will be untouchable…

But for now, you need to survive on your own strength and abilities…"

Though Min Hong couldn't pinpoint where, but something was telling him that someone or something with a perfect sense of familiarity that originated from the depths of his soul was looking out for him, asides lady luck…

But there was no way he could know who that person was, so he just believed that it was just a random Samaritan that was pulled by his incredible luck…

If he knew that the person was a overpowered eccentric old man who was closer to him than even Min Qing, perhaps then, he would have predicted him to be his relative…

But that was how fate plays its tricks on mortals, it gives us success and disguise it with our worst fears, or the most unlikely situation, thereby causing mortals to miss the opportunity to be successful...

What Min Hong had just done was, using the 'Steal Ability' of his cultivation technique [Wonder Gate Codex] to absorb and comprehend the strongest lightning Dao in existence; the Tribulation Lightning Dao…

After settling himself, Min Hong fed Qi into the Black Star Skin to remake his outfit which had been blasted into shreds by the momentum and power of the tribulation lightning dragon…

Then Min Hong literally erupted from the ground and in less than a breath traveled a distance of a hundred miles and landed where several glittering substances laid in the sand…

Min Hong surveyed what seemed to be all the wealth left behind by the dead uncles of; Zi Kun, Chi Zheng and Lao Shi and furtherly from the twelve soldiers sent by the Emperor of the East Wind Empire to retrieve him and his group…

Ignoring virtually everything that was on sight, Min Hong went straight for one three talismans laying on the floor at the area where the East Wind Empire's soldiers met their tragic demise…

These three talismans were radiating sealed but extremely fearsome aura, and even in their sealed state, the power Min Hong was sensing seemed to be about the range of an expert in the 4 Star Saint Stage…

Since its previous owners were already dead, Min Hong didn't need to bind them or anything like that…

Thus he simply connected to the talisman and a brief set of descriptions appeared in his mind…

The first read; Wrath of Vajra; an attack type talisman which when activated will explode forth with a sundering strike that carries the power of a 7 Star Saint Stage expert with it…

Then the second; Immovable Vibe, this was a defensive talisman which creates a vibrating effect around the user powered by the Qi of a 7 Star Saint Stage expert and can withstand an attack from such an expert three times…

Apparently, this technique traps an attack within something that looks like a magnetic field, and then just the momentum within these vibrations alone could stall, wear out and finally discarding the attack…

Then the last one was; Death Chaser, this technique is a support type movement technique, which can cause its wielder to move at the speed of a 7 Star Saint Stage expert… Min Hong ignored the remaining details as he muttered to himself;

"My total battle power after comprehending the Tribulation Lightning Dao is already equivalent to that of a Peak Nascent Soul expert, and with these talismans alone, I could battle an 8 Star Saint Stage expert and live to tell the tale…"

He then smirked before stowing the three talismans away before walking over to the rest of the resources on the ground which ranged from techniques and art that were within the White to Silver Tier level, there were some weapons within that same Tier range, he also saw some pills, potions in bottles and a lot of Spirit Stones…

At least based on his rough estimate at this point, Min Hong could already count about 10,000 Mid-Grade spirit stones altogether, with the majority of it coming from the twelve East Wind Empire soldiers…

Not having enough time to start checking everything on the floor, Min Hong stowed every single one of these items into his spatial ring, before looking in a certain direction and spoke indifferently;

"I'm truly sorry, but I think it's rude to spy on another person in such manner…"

Min Hong spoke into the empty air whilst being engrossed in another one of his valiant hunts for treasures within the narrow, windy caves of his nostrils…

Min Hong could count four but something was telling him that they were definitely more…

"Not willing to show yourselves unh?"

Min Hong spoke nonchalantly as he erupted from the ground once again and this time, he actually summoned Little Lin as he thought to himself whilst advancing;

"Since you are still interested in watching a show, I will give you an eyeful…"

"It is better that I am way in the middle of the desert, now I can truly let loose and not be bothered about any trouble…"

Slam! Crack!

Boom!

Min Hong smashed Little Lin into the empty air after wrapping her with his Fourth Plane Law Level Space Dao, and instantly, a loud but muffled explosion burst forth from the other side of space which shattered into spatial shards, spewing four white robed Elders from within it…

"Hmph! You this impetuous, outer court disciple, actually dare to raise your hands against the Grand Elders of your Sect?"

"Do you know the punishment for that single act?"

One of the Grand Elders of the Desert Sun sect who had followed Min Hong erupted in rage…

"But in the light that you are also a newbie, we will let you off by just getting you bedridden for a few months…"

Another Grand Elder chipped in as they all began to exaggerate Min Hong's offences out of pure shame that a little fourteen year old outer court disciple could actually force, four Grand Elders of the entire sect out of hiding just because he felt like?

Where would they put their face whenever they are in public?

Thus, they felt like punishing him won't only raise their reputation as showing magnanimity on an offence punishable by death, but they would also be sending a message to every single disciple about the Sect Laws and the consequences for breaking it…

Then the Third Grand Elder asked Min Hong; "Do you have anything to say for yourself?"

The Sect Elders usually say this, so that everyone would know that before they dished out punishments, the offender is usually given an opportunity to defend him/herself…

Min Hong heard everything they said and looked up slightly with a squinted brow, [because of the sunlight], and asked with the laziest and most nonchalant expression and tone; "Are you all done spewing folly?"
