The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 253: Power Tussling Politics

They will only give the Royal Clan what they determine are the best or second fiddle…

For Instance, a sect might have a top five strongest and most talented disciple, but when it is time for a tournament that the Royals are sure to visit, they will all remove their Number 1 disciple and tender the remaining four, before adding any other one from the Top 10 to make them 5.

Thus if they pick the most talented disciple every year, in just 100 years, they would have had 100 Legendary figures, and any power with 100 Legendary figures that are in the Saint Stage of cultivation is more than enough to take down the entire Dogon Empire…

Thus, the only way for the Royals to always ensure that they always stay stronger than these powers is to either create their own sect or turn all the sects in their region into affiliates for recruiting experts…

But the Royal Clan of the Dogon Empire had already discovered these sect's tactics which is why they send spies into the Sect who will recruit legendary experts from the sect before the sect itself discovers them…

After all, no matter how a sect wants to tempt a disciple, they cannot steal the disciple from hiss master…

The only thing they can do is to ensure that they recruit his master, that way, they would have indirectly recruited the disciple, until they are able to recruit the disciple himself in the future…

This is the reason why any student who betrays his disciple is always treated as a traitor deep down by others, because they know that should they ever fall into the same situation as his previous master, they will also suffer the same fate…

Thus, the best thing is to capture them when they are new and young and haven't chosen a master yet…

This was the job the Royal Clan of the Dogon Empire gave to the fifth grand elder… But the sects themselves will know there are spies within them who are trying to recruit their top talents…

Thus, they will appoint candidates who will ensure that they get to the students first, and this only means that, all grand elders might appear as comrades, but they will always have their own separate motives and intentions within the sect…

The Fifth Elder, at this point, is a spy that was planted by the Royal Clan to recruit potential legendary candidates within the Desert Sun Sect which is why he decided to settle things amicably with Daniel even though he had the power to pulverize Daniel in less than ten minutes…

The bigger picture was that, if he could recruit Min Hong as a disciple; asides from the fact that he would be the master of a legendary expert in the future, the empire would be forced to always hold him in high regard due to his connection with Min Hong who will be the legendary expert then…

But Daniel doesn't know this, but was lucky enough to pick Elder Jiang who oversaw the entry selection exam…

'Politics is a deadly game that no one knows anything about'… Any political battle that is known by the citizens or the masses is not the true politics, because even the people who are involved in the politics do not know…

The human puppet that politicians use to benefit themselves do not know that they are already trapped within the game of politics, talk less of an ordinary citizen who only knows what the politicians want them to know…

"Venerable Elder, do you mind me recruiting this disciple that has found favor in your sight?"

Chu Huang asked the Old Man within the void who frowned and snorted in displeasure before replying;

"So that you can have his innocent soul trapped in your dirty political games and shenanigans, right?"

"I-I dare not venerable elder, I just felt my mundane empire could benefit from his future fame…"

"But we will also do our best to stimulate his talent and put him under situations that would spike his growth…"

Chu Huang didn't know how, but he felt his back get drenched in sweat when the Old Man snorted in displeasure earlier, thus, he had no choice but to come clean with his intentions for Min Hong...

"As long as you are not directly involved with any situation that endangers his life, I guess I could give you my blessings to loan him for now, but only under two conditions…"

After thinking about it for a while and weighing the pros and cons, the old man accented to Patriarch Chu Huang's request.

Speak venerable Elder and this lowly servant would do as it pleases you…"

Patriarch Chu Huang bowed as he dropped on one knee waiting to receive the conditions of the Old Void Man who answered;

"Firstly, it has to be his choice to accept your proposal or not, and no one must force or pressure him into doing so…"

"Secondly, you must always put him in dangerous situations that would force him to awaken and reach his potential, so he can grow very quickly…"

"He doesn't have much time anymore…"

The Old Void Man said before sighing and muttering to himself;

"Sorry Little Kid, despite how innocent you are, you still got plunged into the political world of human greed just like your parents…"

"This is a harsh life to live, and if you want to break out of these political restraints, you must possess enough ability to do so…"

"Even your father has yet to achieve that, but I hope you can… You are already much more talented than your father so do me proud…"

The moment the Old Void Man sighed, he returned into the void and continued his journey while Patriarch Chu Huang simply gave Min Hong another glance before catapulting himself through space back into his residence in less than ten seconds…

Though he was an expert who had seen a decline in his cultivation due to trying to become a Sage with two aggressively and unfriendly Daos, it still didn't change the fact that, not all of his Daos saw a decline in power level, and his space Dao was just one of them…

When Patriarch Chu Huang left, Daniel walked over to the void beast whose neck had now been strangled to the extent that it was now choking and its neck about to be severed of its neck…

Then he stretched his hands as a silver staff with golden and blood red runes glittered on it flew into his hands, before he stowed it away within his spatial ring…

Then stretching hi two hands forward, the 'Soul Slayer Blades' also flew into his hands before he muttered to himself…

"I am ready!"

Then he slashed downwards as everyone present felt all the Daos within the vicinity sundered in half…

That is, everyone else other than Min Hong felt their Daos reduce in power by half, and then;

Splurt!

The grand elders only saw the head of the void beast fall off but never knew what truly happened, and luckily for Daniel, neither were the Old Void Man and Patriarch Chu Huang had already left…

Boom!

The Void Serpent's head fell into the desert sand as Min Hong swooped it into his spatial ring before flapping his four wings and erupting into the sky like a nuclear missile from a submarine…

Seeing Daniel return to the sect, the fifth elder turned to his four elders and spoke in utter disappointment;

"Hmph! You lot are a true disgrace… Not only did you try to bully a fourteen year old outer court disciple and lost, but you still wanted me to join such a despicable and demeaning charade…"

"The Sect Leader would definitely hear about this…"
