The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 364: Was someone just thinking about me?

"Our bloodlines allows us to adapt to any life threatening situation we pass through, as long as we manage to survive it… So, returning should be a walk in the park…"

The boy spoke like it was nothing and the Old Man was once again emotionally disturbed; these people were harbingers of doom to hell itself…

There was a rumor that this boy's father had once snapped the neck of a Demi-god by just simply frowning at him, and this boy was supposed to have a stronger talent and purer bloodline than that old demon…

But at this point, the son of this boy was now confirmed to have the purest bloodline in their history, and there was a guarded secret, that due to some mysterious reasons, his bloodline was even stronger than that of their first born; the progenitor of their bloodline…

But that was not all, the child they were talking about also seemed to be foretold the seventh son of the seventh son…

The scariest prophecy in the history of the Ancient Realms… The old man walked into the air and a portal spun open by itself straight into the void as he turned back and told the boy;

"I will keep scouting their movement, but I guess you must start preparing for war, just in case…"

"Thanks, father-in-law… But I truly hope that doesn't happen, or else, the Ancient Realms would be plunged into another Dark Age…"

The boy spoke with a trembling tone, and worry and fear was also apparent on the old man's face as he stepped into the portal and left…

The boy also flew back outside with a level of speed that will make Barry Allen commit suicide in shame…

Within seconds he was already at the entrance to the bungalow, then he landed and walked out…

The same heat and pressure that almost killed him earlier was still there but at this point, he couldn't even feel it one bit…

The boy had actually died earlier, but the only thing that caused him to return was the fact that a portion of his soul and a drop of his bloodline had splattered into the bungalow, and he was able to revive himself from that drop of blood, otherwise, he would have turned an innocent wife to a widow, and a poor little child to an orphan…

As he walked out, he concealed his worry behind a doting smile…

Meanwhile, all these while, his eyes were still closed, and in this state, he could even see better than if they were opened…

The girl smiled lovingly and spoke with a tone that was suffering the aftermath of agonizing tears;

"I am never going to get used to seeing your smug bloodline act so arrogantly…" She still used to wonder how such a bloodline could exist…

If their pure-bloods [Any descendant with a 90 percent bloodline purity or above] goes through a life threatening situation, they would adapt to that situation and will become immortal to it…

[This meant that; for a normal earthly human, if a rock of 1000 tons fall on your head, that person would surely die… but in this case, should that person survive by any means, that person can never be killed by a rock again, even if the rock weighs 10 Bajillion Tons!]

It was more like a bloodline that targets the cause of death rather that manner of death…

As a matter of fact, she loved seeing this boy [her husband] train…

He trains by nearly dying, and there were hundreds of times he had died but was brought back by her own father…

He had drowned before, been scorched to ashes, being squashed to death and even being bled to death…

But every time that happened, her father would bring back a portion of his soul and divine sense- mixed a portion of her own bloodline and his together, before merging everything together to bring him back…

It was a kind of technique that usually tire her father to exhaustion, but had still performed hundreds of times…

Thus, there were few means by which anyone can kill her husband as of today, and he had just added the level of danger in this place to the list…

She kissed him softly and asked; "What happened to our son?"

The boy froze slightly, but recovered just as quick, because he already knew that she would figure everything out, eventually…

[After all, there is nothing any man can do that would be truly hidden from the suspicions of a true woman… They are just very sensitive to those kind of stuffs; No man can ever keep secrets around a true woman; he must surely spill it one way or the other…]

He carried her princess style as he floated out of this necropolis…

"Yes, I thought I felt something, but it turns out he is just about to awaken his bloodline…" The boy revealed but downplayed the gravity of the matter…

"Father was there too, right?" She asked looking at her husband with a knowing grin;

"Why do you even bother to asking me questions, when you already know their answers?" The boy sighed in frustration…

He hated it that someone of his level could actually be weak whenever it came to this lady in his embrace, and someone of his power level wasn't weak in any way…

They could turn a Celestial Stage expert to dust with just a snort…

They had Demi-god and God Stage experts flocking around them, so that they could become their students and disciples…

But here he was in the presence of a Demi-god stage expert like his wife, and anytime he competed with her in anything, he can't just bring himself to win, no matter what…

"I am just waiting for the day you will lie to me…"

The girl smiled like the little, spoilt princess that she was [even though she was over 300 years old!]

"I've said it before and I'll say it again; I will only lie to anyone capable of assuring my death, and as far as I can remember, there are a handful of them below the heavens…" The boy said it as a matter of factly...

After all, you don't want to mess with a Demi-god Stage expert who could already sense the path to a Dao's Origin…

Only God Stage experts looking to reach Autarchy or the Aeon Realm could do that…

Meanwhile…

Immeasurable distance away from this paradise, was another dimension which was the stark opposite of this paradise in every way, and sense…

This place had a blood-red moon and a pitch black sun that actually shines black light into their worlds…

Their seasons here are split into; War, Famine, Pestilence and Death; and just as their names depicted, that was what truly happens here every season…

During the Warring season, every single tribe, family, Kingdom or Empire within their dimension would succumb to their sinister and bloodthirsty nature and go to war with each other, committing mass genocides and total extinction of some bloodlines…

It was chaos, evil, sinister, eerie- [Name all the negative words in existence] in this place…

But this war, famine, pestilence and deaths that occur seems like a natural order of weeding out the lesser beings, from the greater ones…

Thus, any tribe that had survived the endless seasons in this dimension would have evolved into almighty devils and asuras…

Within this dimension was a floating continent, and on this continent was a massive tower…

This tower was built in a way that ensures that, whenever the black-sun or the blood-moon is at their highest point and most powerful state, they will always sit right on top of this tower, sending their strongest wave of power into the tower and strengthening whatever lived within it…

Within this tower also laid a similar necropolis but with en ever more sinister vibe and atmosphere weighing down on it, and just like the boy, this time a middle-aged man who looked to be in his mid-forties was the one heading to the bungalow at the center of their necropolis…

Sensing his way through the maze like tunnels within this bungalow, he also arrived at a certain throne room with similar lamps, and just like that, he saw three lamps on a pitch-black ancient altar...

There was also one of them that was also blood-red at the tip and pitch-black at the bottom, and when he looked at it, this middle aged man also had the look of a painful reminiscing, but after giving a frustrated sigh, his gaze returned to its sinister nature, as he gazed at the lantern right in the middle of the three, and just like the one in the paradise, it was also multi-colored, with a white to gold to blue to purple to red to black shaded tongue of flame…

The man also noticed the black part of the flames was already spreading across the other colors and he smiled;

"Yes grandson… Embrace your true nature and you will step on Gods!"

The man said with an ambitious and anticipating glint within his eyes which were actually pitch-black with a blood-red serpentine slit in the middle…

Then he turned around and left the bungalow as his voice drifted into the distance;

"Son, I will show you that the darkness within the tunnel can truly trap anyone from reaching the light at the end of it…"

Achoo!

Min Hong sneezed to life and wrinkled his nose;

"Was someone just thinking about me?"

He asked, before sensing the silence within the entire building despite the sun being at its highest point…

He recalled everything that happened in what felt to him like the past seven hours;

"What the hell was that!?" He thought to himself as he began to sense that his connections were back…

He called out to Little Fei and even reached out to everyone within the 'Realm of Creations' and asked what happened, but the best answer he got was that;

'Nothing happened and he just seem to go on airplane mode for a bit, but they could feel that he was still alive and well, and so they thought he was just cultivating and decided not to disturb him'…

"Alive and well?"

Min Hong was stunned and incredulous as he became more baffled and worried, but still chose not to tell any one of them about his dream and everything that happened…
