The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 493: A Hunch

"Hehe, Nevermind… You have extremely keen senses young master, am I worthy enough to ask where you come from?"

The Old Man who obviously was the boss of the chauffeuring business asked;

"A good ally like you is definitely more than worthy, Old Man Chauffeur…" Min Hong refused to change his mode of addressing the Old Man as he placed his cup back on the table;

"I hail from far south of the East Wind Empire…" Min Hong replied with a very subtle smile…

"That's interesting… I, myself, hail from the East of the Guan Empire…" The Old Man replied;

"Well, I might as well be the next ruler of the southern hemisphere and as a result, I am finding a way to build good relationship and connections with our neighboring Empires, which is why I am here…"

"Eh? I thought you were here for the inheritance grounds?"

"Well, the inheritance grounds is somewhat personal to me, but as a leader, I also have to do something to ensure that my people live the best possible kind of life…" Min Hong replied;

"Eh? I never knew you were related to an Imperial official…"

"Well, where do you think a kid like me would have found the amount of money I carry around?"

Min Hong asked as the Old Man thought about it deeply; Min Hong had registered as a Royal Class citizen and such type of lifestyle don't come on a cheap, and even him, with the level of influence he has could not just afford such a lifestyle without feeling the aftereffects…

Then the fact that Min Hong was still only a teenager, handsome and doesn't seem to have ever stepped into the sun before, then definitely he truly had the features of a silk pants of one of the Imperial officials of an Empire…

"But how do you plan to get me a slot into the Inheritance grounds?"

"Oh, that is very simple, I just need to take one of our clan's slot…"

"Oh really?"

"Yeah… As we have learnt earlier, every Super Clan of all the four Empires have ten slots each, and I am willing to trade mine for the alliance between my future citizens and yours…" Min Hong added with a smile;

"Hmm, but I would need a confirmation that all you have been saying is true and that you are truly the child of an official from the East Wind Empire…" The Old Man shrewdly asked;

"Well, I plan on keeping my identity and presence a secret for now within the Fallen God City, and that was the reason why I applied for a very private resident and chauffeur services…"

Min Hong explained and the Old Man nodded since the registration office of the city wouldn't have called him if that weren't the case;

"But I have something that can give you an idea about my identity…" Min Hong added as he flicked his wrists and brought out two tags;

"I have already brokered an alliance with the two future rulers of these Super Clans of the Dogon Empire…"

"What!?"

"Is that what I think it is!?"

Not only did the Old Man exclaim in shock but even his assistant Jihao who was bringing in a tray of wine and fruits also froze in shock by what she was seeing;

"Yes… It is exactly what you think it is, and it is genuine…"

Min Hong passed one of the tags over to the Old Man who received it and rubbed his thumb across the surface;

'It truly is an original tag…'

The Old Man then looked at the other side of the tag and saw the character 'Long' before looking over to Min Hong and asking;

"How did you manage to get the Royal tag of the extremely reputable Long Super Clan?" The Old Man asked;

"Well, you can say I and the heir of the Long Super Clan are very close friends…" Min Hong replied with a smile before handing the second tag to the Old Man;

"This is just the tag of an Elder of the Jin Super Clan, but because it is made out of this special ore, that means the owner of this tag is a son of the Grand Elder of the Super Clan…"

"You can say I have a good relationship with the owner of that tag also…"

Min Hong was stunned by the Old Man's words but he maintained his cool on the surface…

He had known that the sect leader of the Jun Empire couldn't be an ordinary figure otherwise the Imperials wouldn't have given him such a position in one of the top five strongest Sects of the entire Empire, but he had never anticipated that the tag would be even much more valuable than he had expected;

To have the identity tag of the son of a Grand Elder of the sixth strongest Super Clan in the Dogon Empire!

Min Hong didn't know how, but gradually he seemed to have been forming unintentional relationships with many of the top 10 strongest Super Clans of the Dogon Empire;

He was screwing with the next queen of the Cui Super Clan [First];

One of the heirs of the Tong Super Clan [third] is a sparring partner and a friend of his;

The twins from the Kun Super Clan [Fourth] were also part of his entourage;

The son of a Grand Elder of the Jin Super Clan [Sixth] is more like a teacher or an uncle to him; and that was already four of the top ten…

Then there is the Long Super Clan and the Mu Super Clan who is known all over the Empire for their unmatched information network; how much more achievable could his goals get?

"Did you come all the way here to form an alliance with our Empire, and how did you know that I would be an official of the Guan Empire?" The Old Man scrutinized;

"It was just a hunch…"

"A hunch?"

"Yeah, a hunch… I figured that at least 90 percent of all the huge businesses within this city would belong to one of the four Empires, and since I haven't heard of you before, I knew you couldn't be from the East Wind Empire, and neither could you be from the Dogon Empire either…"

"Thus, I figured you'd either be from the Jun or Guan Empire and that was why I approached you…"
