The Legend of Min Hong

Chapter 515: The Yao Demons Resurface

Min Hong thought to himself as he saw everyone else within his group before the divine sense finally compressed covered every inch of the building they were currently in from the roof to about ten meters deep into its foundations…

The Left Grand Elder instantly abandoned his descent and return to the middle floor, very jittery and uncomfortable, like he was being haunted and watched from every corner of the building…

Min Hong used this technique to search the entire area, but the moment the Left Grand Elder stepped into the same floor as him, he realized the reason why he had always been repulsed about this man; whilst every human spirit would usually appear white in color, there were exceptions to some certain unique individuals…

For example, a valiant warrior with heroic tendencies and righteous inclinations would have a gold colored spirit, whilst those who have shed too many blood and are bloodthirsty would have a red colored spirit…

Others who have demonic tendencies would have a purple colored spirit, and those who are of a devilish nature would have a black colored spirit, and in the case of this Left Grand Elder, his was purple, but not like the ordinary purple spirits, it was one which was so deeply purple that it was already bordering on black;

'Yao demon!?' Min Hong gasped in petrifying shock…

A Yao Demon was the most significant bad news he could ever think of at this point…

If this guy was as powerful as Yao Ming who possessed him back then, then the difficulty of this mission just went up about three more levels…

He was already sweating profusely at this point; whilst he could still stand his own ground against the Left Grand Elder, he wasn't sure about Ki Ting and Xiao Gui upstairs...

Thus, should a fight ensue, and these guys realize that he was too difficult to handle, they might start attacking the others putting him in a very tight spot…

'Damn! To think I would find a Yao Demon here…'

'Shit, does this mean that the ancient seal didn't close back up?'

'Or has it been broken?'

'If so, how many of these guys are already roaming the East Wind Empire at the moment?'

'Hell, some might have even infiltrated the other Empires as well…'

Several thoughts and possible scenarios began to barge through Min Hong's mind as his heart began to race;

'Shit, I must first find a way to get everyone back together; I don't know if the others have also been possessed…'

Whilst all these things were happening, the Left Grand Elder on the other hand was feeling somewhat naked around Min Hong; it was like Min Hong could see through him at this point;

But he was currently closing his eyes, so the Left Grand Elder thought he might be overthinking everything, but because of who Min Hong was, he knew he couldn't take any chances…

Immediately, he began to weave some hand seals quietly and as slowly as he could within his sleeves, but he didn't know Min Hong could see everything, because as he was weaving these seals, insane amount of demonic Qi was surging towards his hands...

The  Min Hong saw a seal that was actually as ancient as his own 'Imperial Edict Seal' begin to form on Left Grand Elder's palm beneath the sleeves, but just as he was about to completely the seal, Min Hong opened his eyes and everything went back to normal;

"There is nothing here…"

He spoke interrupting the Left grand Elders momentum, forcing him to break the spell midway and thereby suffering a significant backlash which he brilliantly and perfectly hid;

"Good, so can we leave now?"

The Left Grand Elder asked with a trembling tone as Min Hong realized that he was still internally battling with the effects of the backlash;

"No not yet… We all use very sensitive techniques when doing investigations such as these and if they get interrupted at this point, they might suffer a backlash…"

Min Hong replied as the Left grand Elder who really wanted to see what was going on at the ground floor was then forced to stay behind, as he tried to resume his hand seal weaving;

Min Hong understood that in this disturbed state, that he could defeat the Left Grand Elder, but the problem was he didn't know how many of these people were possessed or how many of them are really hiding or present within the tribe…

If he killed the Left grand Elder but he Grand Elder found a way to notify the others, there is a very high tendency that he and his group might not leave this tribe alive, thus, he had to stay cool headed and composed…

There was no point in investigating anything anymore, he already knew who  kidnapped all these missing people, but whilst he didn't know where they were or how these guys did it, he knew that investigating any further would just be wasting precious time and giving these guys the much needed time to clean up the entire mess;

'That's true… Where is that Elder Ken?'

Min Hong realized that he hadn't seen Elder Ken throughout today, but he realized that he had gone quiet for too long and the Left Grand Elder was beginning to get suspicious, so he asked;

"Are you alright, Grand Elder?"

"Eh?"

The Grand Elder was caught off-guard by the abrupt question once again as his hand seals were once again interrupted causing him to suffer another heavy backlash which he tried his best to cover...

But because of the previous injury he had, it wasn't entirely possible, and as a result, he coughed intensely three times, as sweat began to pour out of his  forehead like spring water out of rocks;

"You seemed totally about a few minutes ago, but now, you are sweating all over and it seems like you are having fever?" Min Hong pushed on;

"Oh, yeah… I had a little fever this morning but it went away, but I guess the little exercise I did on the stairs just caused it to resurface…" The Left Grand Elder spoke as he gave two more bouts of heavy coughs;

'Is this little bastard trying to kill me!?' he thought to himself in fury;
