The Legend of Min Hong

"Oh, I-i'm s-sorry…"

She instantly got flustered as she began to caress the part of the cheek she'd slapped just now, whilst Min Hong simply smiled it off…

He was not only happy that he was alive, but also happy that he could kill a make shift Immortal Stage expert, then the fact that his group are also fine, and finally, his new home…

"Fei Hong, what happened to those demons!?" Gong Yi asked;

"It is a very long and complicated story..."

Min Hong replied and when he didn't speak but simply stared back at them, the group realized then, that they were never going to know what went down hot after they went out cold…

"It's alright if you don't want to tell us anything, we wouldn't pry either; but what do we do now?" Xiao Gui asked as he placed his palm on his forehead trying to ease his pounding migraine;

"First things first, we need to rest, and then when everyone is fine and back to full health, then we can think of what to do with the remaining three to four weeks we have left…"

Min Hong answered pointing to the new city behind them as the group turned around and instantly froze in daze…

"F-fei Hong, how did- you know what, nevermind…"

Gong Yi who wanted to ask how the city came to be realized after his first few words that he would most definitely not get any true or cogent explanation about the situation, and thus, he simply locked his curiosity away;

The rest of the group looked at themselves and realized that they all had many unanswered questions in their mind, but similarly, they knew that just like Gong Yi and every other previous questions, that it would be futile to ask them…

"Is it safe?" Elder Fu asked;

"Do you think I would harm you now?" Min Hong rebuffed;

"Yeah, I'm sorry… I guess this migraine is simply getting the best of me…"

Elder Fu apologized as Min Hong carried the Princess and flapped out his wings before flying towards the Palace whilst the rest of the group looked at each other before following suit…

"Whoa! This place is so grand!" Gu Ming blurted;

"It seems he is truly the son of an Overlord…"

Elder Fu murmured but everyone heard him clearly as they all began believed it to be true; after all, there was nothing that has happened in the last 48 hours that could prove Min Hong to be otherwise…

But of them all, the ones who were most shaken by such beliefs were the Core Court Disciples, and they all began to go through their memories, checking all their interactions with him and trying to see if they had in one way or the other incurred his displeasure…

But after finding nothing to extreme, they all sighed in relief, except Ki Ting who was inwardly panicking of how Min Hong's mother 'whom she thought was an Empress or Overlady' would feel when she finds out that she had slept with her son…

Soon enough, they arrived in front of the palace where Min Hong pointed towards the ring of twenty mansions that was surrounding the palace;

"Everyone can pick one each… Rest and recover, and then we will meet at the throne hall in here to discuss what we are going to do next…"

"Each and every of the buildings within this city has a lock that works directly with each user's unique Qi…"

"Once you have channeled your Qi into it, it would record the details of the QI and register everything within the building to accept that specific Qi type as its key…"

Min Hong added before he turned around and placed his hands in the 10 meter tall gates that led into the palace, and the moment the door opened, the entire group were rigorously washed with a wave of dense Qi which spilled out of the Qi infused atmosphere within the palace…

'Such, level of Qi purity!'

The Princess thought to herself as she hugged Min Hong's neck and allowed him carry her inside…

A dense scent of sweet smelling flowers also wafted and brushed past the group who all stretched their necks, trying to see what was within the palace, but as if having a mind of its own, before they could see much, the gates slammed shut by itself…

Then they saw some runes on the gates which began to light up one after the other until it was then complete, and a massive barrier erected itself, covering the entire palace in an inverted bowl manner…

Then right in front of their stunned gazes, the entire group saw the entire palace vanish;

"Unh!?"

"Eh!?"

Yu Ming and Gu Ming were stunned silly whilst Gong Yi simply walked to the front of the group and addressed all of them;

"Alright, it is just a simply protective and illusory barrier… Furthermore, you've all heard what the leader said; go pick a mansion and take a rest…"

"There are more than enough mansions for us to live in, so you all can pick whichever you wish, except the four behind the palace which is where I, Xiao Gui, Tong Tian and Ki Ting would be staying…"

He instructed as they all moved out, and a little while later, several barriers were erected, covering the mansion in the same inverted bowl manner but didn't vanish…

Meanwhile, the moment Min Hong entered the Princess climbed of his arms and looked around the palace…

The first thing she noticed was the walls holding the massive palace gates were lined with waist high, sweet smelling flowers that glowed with white and yellow light, and then the carriage sized stone path which seemed to go around the entire palace;

Then there were another set of waist length sweet-smelling flowers which were glowing with purple and pink ambience, lining up the walls of the palace structure itself…

Then she saw two massive golden double doors with a massive sculpture that depicted a jungle with several mythical beasts etched into the doors with diamond…

Then Min Hong who realized what she was doing pushed the door open with his mental power as an even thicker mist of pure, dense Qi wafted out of what appeared to be the throne room…

'That mysterious expert really did many to this palace unh…'

What Min Hong and the Princess could see was a massive throne room which was about 30 meters in depth, about 30 meters wide and a ceiling that was about 15 meters tall and decorated with numerous fist sized glowing gems which provided light for this throne room…
