The Legendary Pseudo-villain

Chapter 156 - Did You Just Say... Orgon?

"But I can only sell one percent for Thirty Billion Lenix," The auctioneer continued and LeiLei was even more shocked as her eyes widened and almost looked as if they were ready to pop out of her sockets.

She had clearly never even heard of a man demanding so much money.

The girl opened her mouth to immediately say something about it but Marvin was faster as he anticipated such a reaction from her and stopped her from speaking as he covered her mouth with his right hand.

Hecathe smiled as he nodded his head and readily agreed to the demand, "I'll take it."

Hecathe was able to earn Ten billion Lenix by selling just a hundred pure mutant beads and he had even paid that amount to bid for the Dorgon that he bought from this auction house. With all that considered, the amount asked by the auctioneer was actually quite cheap.

The auction house earned this much in a single day, and hence, even with the profit share of one percent, Hecathe was sure that he would be able to earn the investment back with time.

The auctioneer gulped as he heard Hecathe's response and he was certainly a bit taken back to know that Hecathe readily agreed to it without even trying to bargain a little.

Hecathe pointed at Marvin as he spoke, "We'll both be sharing the one percent so he'll be giving you ten billion and the same goes for me as well."

Marvin's eyes widened as he heard this and realized that Hecathe was talking about him. The boy snapped his head towards Hecathe in shock as he blinked innocently and wondered when he had agreed to this.

Hecathe didn't even bother asking the boy if he had that kind of money!

The auctioneer nodded his head as he agreed to this demand, "We can make that happen."

Hecathe smiled as he shook his head and continued, "But although we'll both be paying, the company share would be under my name and not his."

"Eh?" The auctioneer muttered in confusion as he looked at the man and waited for him to explain.

"He'll be the secret shareholder," Hecathe smiled as he spoke and put it as simple as possible so that it would be easier for the man to understand, "He'd hold a 0.5 percent of company stocks but nobody must know about this. To put it plainly, only the four of us present in this room know about him. For everyone else, I'm the only one buying the complete one percent stock."

Marvin's eyebrows creased together as he heard this and he looked at the man with a bit of suspicion as he wondered what Hecathe was trying to do.

"In case of my early death, my shares automatically get transferred to him and he becomes the new owner of the one percent stock," Hecathe continued seriously and Marvin couldn't help but frown as he heard all this.

To say something like this... It was almost as if Hecathe was sure that he'd be dying in the near future.

"And if we both die, the share gets transferred to her," Hecathe spoke as he pointed at LeiLei, "When she dies, it gets sold back to you. That would of course depend on the situation. If she has an immediate family member then you'd have the right to buy the stocks back from that person for the exact twenty billion Lenix that you sold it for."

LeiLei gulped as she heard this and couldn't help but feel a little shocked with the fact that Hecathe had actually considered her in this plan like this.

This was an indirect declaration of trust and LeiLei felt a little weird since it was the first time someone was placing their trust in her like this.

What if LeiLei kills them both and takes off with the money? With LeiLei's ability to switch out their hearts with stones, it would be a child's play to kill the two of them and Hecathe clearly knew this, but he still placed a bet on it.

"And what if she doesn't have any family left behind?" The auctioneer asked with a small frown.

"Then you get everything for free," Hecathe shrugged his shoulders as he responded.

"Okay then. It's a deal," The auctioneer nodded his head as he agreed to all of these confusing demands.

"But," Hecathe spoke up as he added one more thing, "There is only one thing that I want you to do."

"Hmm?"

"I want you to make it known that there is a new owner in the auction house."

"You?"

Hecathe nodded his head as he spoke with a small smirk, "Let everyone know that I, the great Orgon, have bought a part of the auction house."

"Okay, I'll do tha-" The auctioneer was ready to absentmindedly agree but stopped soon enough when he realized that he had heard something that was not quite right.

The man repeated Hecathe's words through his mind in order to make sure that he had heard it right and when he was still not sure, he decided to straightforwardly ask, "Did you just say... Orgon...?"

Hecathe let out a small scoff as he asked sarcastically, "Could there be anyone else that would bring pure mutant beads to you as if they were nothing more than candy?"

The auctioneer gulped as he heard this and immediately shook his head.

"Have you not heard about the rumors?" Hecathe crossed his right leg over his left as he asked casually, but his voice at the moment scared the auctioneer a little.

The auctioneer had certainly heard the rumors and this was exactly the reason why the auctioneer looked to be so shocked.

For a regular customer like Hecathe to turn out to be the person from that unbelievable rumor... It was only natural that it was hard to take it all in at once.

The auctioneer fell to the ground as he bowed a bit too thoroughly and cried out, "Forgive me for being so unknowledgeable! I should have known! Please excuse me for my mistake. I'll make sure not to let it happen again!"

Hecathe was a bit taken by this sudden reaction that came out of nowhere.

Even the auctioneer fell to the ground when Orgon was involved... Was the great Orgon really such a fearsome and respectable man...?

When Hecathe looked at Marvin who was supposed to be the real son of that great Orgon, he couldn't help but frown. It was a bit disappointing that there was nothing special about this boy expect for the fact that he was the only son of a famous man.

"You don't need to apologize like this," Hecathe sighed as he responded to the auctioneer, "It's not like you offended me in any manner so you have nothing to be afraid of. I am not such an unreasonable person."

The auctioneer gulped as he heard this and slowly raised his head to look at Hecathe.

"If you look up to me so much, you should help me," Hecathe smiled as he spoke.

The auctioneer immediately nodded his head a bit too enthusiastically as he agreed to Hecathe.

Just like how the people blindly worshipped The great Edler, Orgon was also such a man who was blindly worshipped like a God.

And just like how Alphius started being criticized after his father's death, Hecathe was sure that Marvin would also end up on the same track.

This was to be expected considering the fact that people would have higher expectations from the children of the legends and when the children don't manage to meet those expectations, the admiration everyone felt would slowly turn into hate.

The auctioneer was quick enough to bring in the paperworks required and Hecathe bought the 0.5 percent share easily by selling hundred pure mutant beads to the auction house.

However, Marvin didn't have pure mutant beads to sell nor did he have that much amount of money on him at the moment so the boy simply pursed his lips into a thin line and looked at Hecathe helplessly.

Hecathe should have informed Marvin about this before they came here! If he had done that then Marvin would have surely been given some time to escape and could choose not to come here in the first place itself.

The auctioneer noticed that Marvin didn't have the money to pay up and under normal conditions, the auctioneer would simply turn the deal down, but this time, Since Hecathe was here as Orgon, it would be considered rude of the auctioneer to do something like that.

Hence, with a commercial smile, the auctioneer chuckled as he spoke, "If you don't have the money right now then you can pay up later on."

Marvin gulped as he heard this and he didn't know if he wanted to cry or laugh as he wondered if there was a third option where he didn't have to pay anything.

The auctioneer looked at the wrapped blade behind Marvin's back and smiled as he spoke, "While you get the money, you can leave your weapon behind and once the ten billion is paid off, you can take your weapon back with you."

"..." This option sounded much worse to Marvin.
