The Legendary Pseudo-villain
Chapter 7:Don't shoot me!
How did he end up like this...?
It truly shocked Hecathe how so many things could happen in such a short span of time.
If that wasn't unnatural enough, what happened next should certainly manage to blow away his brains at how abnormal this situation was.
He was kidnapped and held captive for two days and when he thought his kidnapper was ready to let him go because he wasn't the person who was supposed to be kidnapped in the first place, he just had to find himself strapped to an iron pillar with a man holding a gun aimed at him.
Damn it... God seemed to really hate him.
The man holding a gun aimed at him was none other than the same guy that had kidnapped him and punched him in captivity.
Hecathe tried to move his hand but he was unable to because of the metal locks that locked his hands and legs in place on the iron pillar.
He chuckled as he looked at the youth in front of him and asked, "Are you guys from some sort of cult or something? You kidnap an innocent man and plan to kill him like this? What the hell do you think I am?! Some sort of demonic sacrifice?!"
The youth only smiled as he looked at Hecathe with a rather cold and emotionless eyes, "Demonic sacrifice my foot!"
"..."
"Do you think a demon will be interested in your death? Don't be over your head so much." The youth warned with an amused smirk on his face.
On Hecathe's right side was a raised platform on which there were three seats located, looking like thrones.
These three thrones weren't empty. There were exactly three people sitting on each one of those seats.
Hecathe turned to curiously look at who it was but for some reason, he couldn't help but frown as he saw them.
They looked... weird.
One of them was a small girl and the other two were fully grown men. The small girl had a cloak covering her whole body and half of her face, her posture was straight and gave a feeling of nobility. She looked calm. So calm that for a second, Hecathe wondered if the girl was simply sleeping, but this theory was kicked out from his head when he saw the girl's light pink lips curl up in a smile.
On the girl's right side was another throne that seated a man who looked to be in his thirties. With dark black hair that reached his shoulder, tied up in a small ponytail, and eyes that were green in color, his face was certainly not your everyday average kind. He had a sharp and tall nose that seemed to match his thin lips.
Hecathe's eyes twitched as he looked at this man who looked as if he had come straight out of a comic. His face was certainly dashing and pleasing to look at, however, the clothes he wore clearly labeled him as a weirdo in Hecathe's eyes.
He was wearing a heavy mecha suit that covered his entire body and made his head look like a small bird's head fit inside a big metal suit.
Hecathe almost wanted to ask who the man was trying to cosplay but in the end, he decided not to ask such an out-of-topic question.
Right next to this man sat another man who looked to be younger than this guy and yet at the same time, Hecathe couldn't help but think that even though he looked younger, his face had a kind of maturity to it that made him look older.
He had silver-colored hair that had dark roots, thus indicating that this silver color was definitely not natural. His eyes were pretty dark in color and his face didn't have any outstanding features, however, it could still be considered handsome. He had pale skin that made him almost look like a vampire. His clothes only added to the vampire look; with long knee-length boots and a rather tight pant paired with a loose off-white T-shirt covered with a black jacket.
All three of these people who were seated on their thrones looked as if they had come straight out of a comic that belonged to no particular genre and had all elements mixed together to make a huge mess of a comic, or in other words, it looked like an avenger's knockoff.
There was another man standing in front of the raised platform and he had a scroll in his hand that he had been reading for a long time now but he had still not said anything.
The youth in front of Hecathe seemed to be waiting for a signal to shoot and Hecathe also seemed to be waiting and praying for the police to arrive and save him from these weird-ass people.
After a few more minutes of awkward silence had passed, the man with the scroll finally decided to unseal his mouth and speak up, but unfortunately whatever he said was nothing pleasant for Hecathe.
"The three willows of spring hereby declare Alphius Edler guilty of the murder of Orgon, leader of the silver battalion!" The man announced at the top of his lungs, "In order to bring justice to this world, he shall hence be executed on the spot by the victim's son, Marvin Orgon!"
It seemed that Hecathe's brain stopped working for a second as he heard this. His mouth hung open in shock as his eyes looked to be staring at the man in confusion.
"Death shall be avenged with death! Fairness shall see no title! With the three willows of spring, our land will not forgive sinners!"
"Oye! Oye! Oye!" Hecathe's voice croaked out, "You got the wrong guy!! I didn't kill anyone yet! I was the one who was almost killed!!"
Everybody acted deaf as if they couldn't hear anything he said.
The youth who stood in front of him, Marvin Orgon, smirked as he saw Hecathe's face losing all color.
"Damn it! You got the wrong person!!" Hecathe cried out as he tried his best to struggle out of the constraints but failed miserably as no matter how much strength he used, it was still not enough to break metal.
Weird...
It was really weird...
For some reason Hecathe couldn't help but feel weird as he had this odd sensation of unfamiliarity with his body and his strength.
A cold sweat rolled down his forehead as his life flashed before his eyes for a second. There was no way he would accept to go out this way! He still wanted to live!!
Marvin shook his head slightly as his finger put a little pressure on the trigger and Hecathe's heart clenched as his eyes went wide in panic.
No...
No!
No!!
Hecathe bit his bottom lip and tried his best to use all the strength he had left to try and force his hand out from the constraints but all it really did was turn his wrist red from the immense pressure.
His wrist started to bleed but he didn't care as he continued to ignore the pain and tried to force his way out of this situation.
He cursed a hundred times in his mind, but cursing was of no use.
He took a sharp breath in as he glanced at Marvin and wondered if this was the end for him.
Was the Zelium Legend really gonna die like this...?
He saw Marvin mouth something that couldn't be heard, however, Hecathe was able to lipread what had been said.
'It'll be over soon. Just wait.'
The only thing Hecathe could hear was the sound of his own pounding heart that had been thoroughly scared.
He refused to close his eyes and silently wait for his death. That was just not something Hecathe would do.
He was a fighter and so there was no way he would succumb to his situation and docilely accept it.
He kept his eyes wide open as he glared at Marvin, his eyebrows creased together in worry and fear.
"Don't you dare shoot!! That's a gun, goddamn it!!" He gritted out, "Don't play around with a gun, you sick bastard!"
Marvin chuckled lowly as he put some more pressure on the trigger and soon, the bullet left the gun, heading straight for Hecathe.
Hecathe flinched as he felt the bullet hit his left shoulder. The impact was numbing and only after a second did the pain kick in, however, more than the pain there was something else that had managed to bother Hecathe.
The gun used was definitely not normal...
He groaned as he tried to grab his shoulder but with his hands still constrained, there was nothing he could do but yelp at the pain.
He couldn't believe that all of this was really happening but since the pain felt as real as possible, he was left with no choice but to believe that all of this was indeed real. He really wasn't dreaming.
Hecathe, the Zelium legend was being kidnapped and killed under wrong accusations.
Kill someone?
Hecathe had indeed screwed over a lot of people, but he was sure that he had never killed anyone. He didn't even know who this bastard called Orgon was.
This was so ridiculous that Hecathe wanted to laugh at it, but at the same time, it was the most humorless joke he had ever seen.
He was really being punished for crimes he had never committed!
It truly shocked Hecathe how so many things could happen in such a short span of time.
