The Little Superman of Hogwarts
#83 - Chapter 83: Traps and Team Wipeout
After the five of them walked in, they immediately fell into a large net. Neville instantly used the Sword of Arthas to cut the Devil's Snare's main stem. Neville's strength can truly be said to be a gift.
Dean said, "This is Devil's Snare! Hold still!"
Upon hearing this, the other four stopped struggling, and the Devil's Snare slowly lowered the five of them.
Looks like it's not bad!
The five of them walked forward in the predetermined order, with Neville in the lead and Ron at the rear.
The third trial was the Flying Keys. Harry spent some time finding the correct key.
The fourth trial was Wizard's Chess. As in the original story, Ron directed everyone to victory. This time, Ron performed very well, and none of the five were eliminated.
The fifth trial was the Troll. When the 91st Legion entered, the troll was already unconscious—too miserable. This guy has been knocked out at least four or five times this year.
The sixth trial was Potions.
"This is a laboratory?" Harry opened the door to the potions room, looking at the cauldrons and a pile of potion bottles on the table, muttering to himself.
"No, look at this note," Seamus said. "Danger lies before you, safety lies behind… The second from the left and the second from the right, though different in appearance, taste the same."
Seamus finished reading the note.
"It's a riddle!" The five young wizards immediately scratched their heads, racking their brains, but they couldn't come to a conclusion after a long time.
Just as they were frowning, Ron slapped his forehead, "I remember! I have a way!"
"I have some beetles in my medicine chest, tools to test whether the air is poisonous!" Ron said, "I think we can use these beetles to test these potions!"
"What are we waiting for! Let's go!" Harry urged.
Ron took out a small bottle from the deepest part of his large trunk. Inside the bottle were several hard-shelled beetles, which looked like cockroaches, but were darker and shinier—they looked a bit like carrion beetles.
Ron took out seven small bottles, placed them on the table, and put a small bug into each bottle. Then, everyone used droppers to add the potion from the potion bottles to the beetles.
In just a few seconds, without Ron's judgment, everyone visually identified the location of three poisonous potions. The terrifying poison dissolved the beetles directly.
Two of them were wine. The beetles struggled even more violently because the alcohol stimulated their sense of touch and smell.
"These two bottles are the antidote, but I don't know which one is the antidote to go forward and which one is the antidote to retreat!" Ron said.
"These two bottles of potion are only enough for a maximum of three people—which means we can only send a maximum of three people forward," Harry said, looking at the potions.
The five looked at each other. After several seconds, Harry Potter spoke first, "I'm the fastest, and at the same time, I need to be paired with a guard, so Ron and I are the best together. Neville, Seamus, and Dean, the three of you can form a team. Let's decide now who will drink the potion!"
Harry held a bottle of potion and drank half of it, then tried to pass his hand through the wall of fire at the exit, "No pain! This is the potion to move forward! Ron!"
Ron drank the other half, but there was still some left—he handed it to Neville.
Neville drank the last bit of potion, wanting to follow behind Ron and Harry, but when he stepped over the wall of fire, a sharp pain appeared.
Neville howled and retreated. Upon closer inspection, his calf had been burned red and swollen—luckily, he had already drunk a little, otherwise it would definitely have been a serious burn. The three watched Harry and Ron advance.
Walking down the dark corridor, suddenly the scene brightened, and they reached the last room.
"You're later than I expected," a person appeared from the shadows.
It was Professor Quirrell!
Harry looked at Quirrell warily. He felt very strange. This Professor Quirrell not only didn't have any stuttering or ridiculous behavior, but his every word and action gave people a sense of oppression.
In just a moment, something seemed to click in Harry's mind, and he understood something… When they were tracking, everything was too smooth! It was as if someone had prepared a script, waiting for the five of them to come here!
Harry was instantly shocked, "This is a trap! Ron, we've been tricked!"
Ron didn't quite understand what was happening, but he was also very wary of the fake Professor Quirrell.
"You're not Quirrell! Who are you?" Harry raised his wand, as if this posture could bring him a sense of security.
"Who am I? Haha!" The fake Quirrell laughed loudly, echoing in the empty room, making it particularly terrifying.
"I am a sinner!" The fake Quirrell said, then turned and walked to the Mirror of Erised.
"As expected, the last level is the most difficult, the others don't count for anything!" The fake Quirrell said to the mirror, "No matter how I look at it, this is just an ordinary magic mirror, and I can't find where the final Philosopher's Stone is hidden."
"Someone as evil as you doesn't deserve to get the Philosopher's Stone!" Ron mocked.
"What is evil, what is justice? Do you really understand?!" The fake Quirrell suddenly looked at Ron fiercely and said, "You haven't even seen true justice, so how do you know what is evil!"
Ron was so frightened that he took a step back involuntarily. At this time, he suddenly had a strange feeling, as if this fake Quirrell was his mother, so terrifying.
The fake Quirrell didn't take the initiative to speak, and Ron was too scared to speak. Harry didn't know how to deal with Quirrell, and the scene fell silent for a while.
Just then, a rustling sound came from behind Harry.
Harry and Ron immediately took a few steps to the side, and then a body was thrown in from the door—it was Neville!
"It really is… a bit… troublesome…" A stuttering voice came from inside. Before Harry could understand what was going on, Seamus and Dean were thrown out. Harry rushed up to check on the three of them, and Ron quickly opened his backpack, preparing to pour potions.
Just then, a wand stretched out, "You… better… not… move…" Accompanying the voice was a familiar figure.
Another Quirrell appeared!!! Harry and Ron's pupils shrank instantly—there were actually two Quirrells!!!
Judging from the speed of speech, the latter was obviously the real Professor Quirrell! Harry roared in his heart: My whole family is shocked for a whole year!
"You are the real Quirrell! You are also a thief!" Harry said, the real Professor Quirrell still stuttering.
"What if you know?" The fake Quirrell sneered, raising his wand at Harry.
"Stupefy!" A beam of light shot out, Harry quickly dodged, but the next moment, the real Quirrell also shot out a spell, Harry was hit and instantly fell to the ground unconscious.
Ron wanted to run back, but was knocked unconscious by the fake Quirrell with a wave of his hand.
The 91st Squad's first appearance ended in a total annihilation…
