Chapter 2 Learning

My body is sore, everything is sore.

"What the fuċk." When I opened my eyes I expected the blinding brightness to be from a hospital room but instead, all I can see is mountains and trees. Fuck, my head is killing me. It took a lot of effort to get up. I don't have any idea where I am but I can hear water running and my throat is drier than the Sahara.

"Ouch mother…" I just kissed the ground. My legs feel strange…I feel strange. Fuck this.

"Help." No one answers. Fuck.

I get up just to trip again on a bush but at least I can see the river now. It's pathetic but I don't have a choice I will have to crawl there on all fours.

"Haa, shit." It worked much better than I expected, I got there faster than I ever thought I would.

"Ah thank god." This was the best water I ever drank…and I'm not saying this just because I was dying of thirst. Even my headache got a little better.

"ANYONE THERE?"

Hell, there's no harm in trying right? But seriously where am I?

Fuck this…I'll just take this coat and look for any injuries before getting the hell out of here.

"What the fuċk." Where is the zipper for this…Where are my fingers? Why the hell do I only have four fingers?

"What…" Shouldn't I be feeling those ghost fingers or something, don't amputees still feel their missing limbs?

"Ouch, motherfucker." I sat on something.

"Ah, it's just my…tail." Hehe, it…it can't be, I'm touching this thing…I can feel it's part of me, but it can't be. I'm following it with my hands and…

"HOLY SHIT." It's coming out of my ȧss. Damn it, it's even moving. I fall and feel pain shoot through my back.

"You gotta be kidding me." My reflection on the river…is a panther....with dark black wings. I'm a panther. Wait wait.

"Yeah…I'm a panther." I touch myself trying to find the zipper to this thing but it is not a coat…I'm a panther and this is real fur. I must be in comma on a hospital bed and this is my body saying 'Fuck you, next time don't get stabbed. There is no other explanation. I...I will just lay here and wait.

I did what any sane person would do after waking up as an animal, I fainted.
