The Mad Tycoon of Rome

——Chapter 1: Prologue——

Lee Jae-hoon was born with a dirt spoon and tried his best, but all that remained was the loan to be repaid.

It was hard to enjoy the youth of college like his friends, and he almost lived in the library to receive a scholarship even if it was just a penny.

When he was tired of a part-time job and studying, he spent time reading books when his head was no longer spinning.

It wasn't because he was a noble person whose hobby was reading. It was because he didn't have the money and energy to enjoy other hobbies.

He didn't particularly like Rome. Still, he picked up a few books because he thought reading them would be beneficial for getting credits in Western history.

He also had the assignment to write a book review by researching people related to ancient history, so he decided to take care of it today.

One of the most famous people in ancient Rome was Julius Caesar, otherwise known as Caesar. He managed to achieve success even while sitting in a mountain of debt.

This part contrasted dramatically with Lee Jae-hoon's current situation, which made him bitter.

'Yes, it was possible because the past and the present are different... No, what am I thinking about right now?'

The only thing left in his mind after feeling a sense of inferiority toward a person from the past was a sense of shame.

'If I could read the future like reading the history recorded in a book, I would be able to succeed incomparably.'

His eyes were strangely dim as he was flipping through the book and having useless thoughts.

He had a fever yesterday, but still, he was forced to work part-time. He felt that was why he was having such delusional thoughts to get rich immediately.

'I should have taken antipyretics,' he thought. 'Should I take a short nap before continuing this assignment?'

He lay on the table and made a book as his head pillow, and within 5 seconds he fell asleep like crazy.

Even before he fell asleep as if he was fainting, the interest on the loan he had to repay ran round and round in his head.

'Ugh! What a headache... if I could live without worrying about money even for a day...'

That was the last thought Jae-hoon had in his miserable life.
