The Messenger of Death

Chapter 172: bull's coven

Standing in front of the dormitory was Alex. His eyes were wide open at the sight of the dormitory.

The building stretched into the distance and up to the clouds, as far as the eyes could see. He had never seen a building as wide as this. There were thousands of windows on the building.

"This place must be really comfortable," Alex whispered. He was about to step into the place when Al stopped him.

['Are you sure you want to snoop around them with your face, I mean your real face.'] He said.

['Oh, that's true.'] Alex concurred. Al was insinuating that he shouldn't go into the dormitory without changing his face.

['And you complained about me pointing out the basics for you. This is why I point the basics out to you.'] Al uttered.

"Sorry about that," Alex admitted.

['You actually apologized, are you feeling okay?'] Al was concerned because of this new development.

Alex chuckled and ignored him and walked to a hidden corner. He made sure that no one was paying attention to him.

"System, change my facials to random male's face that looks like an 18-year-old. Make sure that the face is not the type to catch the attention of others. I need to blend in and stay unnoticed."

*Initiating. Morphing the user's face, please stand by.

The system responded.

The skin crawler began vibrating and changing the bone structure of Alex's face. The system gave Alex an average face with a bald head. He looked like a monk. Alex felt the wind graze the skin on his head.

"What the…" He raised his hands and touched his head. "A bald head? Seriously? This isn't attention-grabbing?" Alex complained but he didn't ask the system to change his facial feature to another one.

Immediately he stepped out the hidden corner, he saw a few bald head guys coming out of the dormitory. The bald head guys saw Alex and smiled at him as if they knew him.

"Hello, brother." They waved at him.

"Who the hell is your brother?" He looked at them like they were crazy as he whispered to himself.

['Hahaha. The system chose a pretty common face and hairstyle for you. It even gave you brothers. Hahaha'] Al laughed.

Alex touched his head again. "Next time I need to be specific with the system." He turned and faced the entrance of the dormitory. This time he saw girls walking out of the dormitory.

Alex paused for a bit.

['What's wrong?'] Lex asked.

['For a moment there, I thought that I was in the wrong place but then I remembered that the dormitory is a mixed one.'] He explained as he went into the building...

['How am I going to search for them in this large place? Can't I just ask for directions?'] Alex thought. He had been going from door to door and using the system to identify the people inside the room. Hours had gone by and he still hasn't found them.

['No, don't do that.'] Al advised against it.

['I think it would better if you just asked around for directions.'] Xander suggested.

['I think so too.'] Lex agreed with Xander.

['Aren't I the one making the plans? Why is everyone doing as they please?'] Al exclaimed in frustration.

Alex, Xander, and Lex ignored Al. ['Go ahead and do what you want.'] Al gave up on changing their decision.

"System, change the way I sound too."

*Command recognized, initiating voice modulator. Voice modulator initiated.

"Excuse me," Alex called out to the first person that he saw. His voice was very deep and slightly scary now.

"Do you know where I could find…" He proceeded to describe who he was searching for.

The person gave him direction and Alex went there.

Before he arrived at the door of the room that he was directed to, he saw one of his targets coming out of their room. He quickly hid in a corner and peeped.

"I'll be heading over to that place now." One of them said.

"Which of the places Rayne?" Alex peeped and saw who they called Rayne. It was the one that challenged him earlier today.

['Unlucky sucker, he's going to be the first.'] Al commented. ['Follow him to where he's going, make sure that he doesn't notice you.'] Al directed.

['Sure thing boss.'] Alex responded obediently.

['Are you sure that you are alright? Hearing you call me that willing sounds so disgusting.'] Al was repulsed by his obedience…

Alex tailed Rayne for hours. Rayne had been going in circles, and it was starting to look like he was trying to lose someone.

['Did he notice me?'] Alex thought.

['Maybe.'] Lex said.

Rayne stopped in front of the statue of a bull that had long and sharp horns.

-Tap… tap, tap… tap.

He knocked on the statue systematically and waited for a few seconds.

-Dnn!

A rune inscription appeared out of thin air and rested on the horns of the statue. The next thing Alex knew, a door appeared and a girl stepped out.

"Welcome, are you here for a bath or just a good time?" The girl asked.

"Just a bath and a normal massage," Rayne answered.

She stretched her hand out and Rayne dropped 2 LD-ECs on her palm before he went into the door that she came out of.

"What was that?" Alex wondered. "I didn't know that there was a place like this in school."

['Go in, you can remember the rhythm of his knock right?'] Al asked.

"Yeah, I can."

Alex walked to the bull statue and knocked.

-Tap… tap, tap… tap.

The same thing that occurred when Rayne knocked on the statue, happened after Alex knocked on it too.

The same girl that welcomed Rayne, stepped out of the door. "Welcome," She greeted with a smile.

['Seeing that she's not skeptical about your presence that means that almost everyone is welcomed here.'] Al observed.

['Or she might just be pretending.'] Alex had doubts.

['No dummy, she's not pretending. She collected energy crystals from that Rayne guy, meaning that this must be some kind of service offering business… or organization. Go in.'] Al pointed out and made Alex feel like he was dumb.

"It seems like this is your first time here right?" The girl asked.

"Yeah, I heard about this place from a friend of mine," Alex answered.

"New customers are always welcomed. Let me give you a brief overview of what we do here. The place beyond this door is called the Bull's Coven, we are a group of people that offers services to the students of the academy in exchange for energy crystals. Services that are quite hard to get here in the academy, and in return they pay for the services." She mentioned.

['I told you so.'] Al muttered.

"Services? What type of services?" Alex questioned.

"Well, we can help our customers feel at home by helping them bathe. Services like massages are given, skincare, bone readjustment, and even fortune-telling. You can relieve your sexual pleasures in our coven too.

Although you will not be allowed to have sex with any of our staff unless they approve of it. And even after they do, you will have to pay before service." She explained.

"Huh? How are we expected to relieve our sexual desire without having sex?" Alex blurted.

"There are many ways, if you would like to know then all you have to do is to say the word and you will be able to find out." The girl flashed him a flirtatious look.

['Isn't it obvious? A handjob or a blowjob. Such a rookie.'] Al mocked Alex's ignorance.

"Can I just look around for now? I don't know what I want yet. How about a bath? But I don't need anyone to scrub my body for me." Alex stated.

The girl smiled. "We get shy customers like you frequently, just as the rest did, you will open up to us. Since it is your first time here, I'll give you a discount." She stretched her hand out. "1 LD-EC," She demanded.

Alex gave it to her and entered…

***************

'How do I investigate him if I can't even reach where he stays?' Duna was seated on his bed as he thought to himself.

'This Alexander is shrouded in a mystery. I need to ask big brother if he has anything on him. I can't go in blindly. The flames that he used were too abnormal. Is this why he refused to check his affinity with the elemental pillars that day?" Duna looked at the palm that he used to block Alex's punch.

Even after using a healing pill, it still wasn't healing properly. He frowned at the sight of his slightly burnt palm.

'The control he has over the fire element, it was excellent to the point that the grass he stepped on did not burn, but when my hand and shoe came in contact with him they got burnt. This level of control should be something that only a person that has about 10 rings of affinity, can do.'

He stood up and fetched a paper and a pen to write.

'I'll write to big brother about this and ask him what he thinks.' Duna decided.
