Lu Lan walked out of Wang Wei's house, blood oozing from her ċhėst, which she ignored in her rage, but the pain above her ċhėst had made her so weak that her legs lost energy and she nearly slipped.

Arms appeared out of nowhere, and she was immediately engulfed in a warm embrace.

Si Li had scooped her up in his arms.

"Look what did you do?" Si Li softly reprimanded her and strode towards the elevator.

Everything happened so quickly that Lu Lan's mind went blank, and when she regained consciousness, she struggled to get down.

"Put me down." Lu Lan said in a hoarse voice.

"You are injured and your wound has already opened up. You can keep struggling but let me tell you are hurting yourself, not to me." Si Li said nonchalantly. Looking straight at the closed door of the elevator which opened. He stepped inside.

Lu Lan's eyes glowed with resentment Nevertheless, she stopped struggling.

"Put me down." She said again.

"No!" Si Li promptly replied.

"I'm not going with you." She expressed her displeasure in a sour tone.

"Except for coming with me, you don't have any other choice. After all, you are my wife."

"It's a contract marriage that will end in a few months; after that, I'll no longer be your wi--" Lu Lan's words came to a halt as she noticed his cold stare at her.

She trembled under his cold stare.

Her eyes were still moist. Si Li wanted to express her concern, but her words infuriated him.

Despite the fact that their marriage was a contract marriage, he had planned a real and grand wedding for her that no one in country X would forget. And here she was, discussing the dissolution of their marriage.

If she wasn't injured, he would definitely teach her a lesson.

Lu Lan's mind was dizzying so she stayed quiet for a while. Once she would get better, she would come back to her uncle's house.

However, would it be possible?

Si Li helped her to sit inside the car and first he checked her bandage which was messed up in the blood.

Lu Lan felt weak to argue against him so she did not bother with him and she leaned her head back to rest where she heard fainted. 

"We need to go to the hospital." He swiftly sat and drove off.

Wang Wei and others were standing nearby when they noticed the couple leave.

Despite Little Champ's dėsɨrė to pursue them, Si Yan stopped him and decided to bring him to Diamond Hills.

Since Si Li had taken Lu Lan, they could come to Diamond Hills eventually.

"Don't worry, Mr. Si. Mrs. Si is alright. I have bandaged her wound, still I recommend her to stay here overnight so that we can monitor her condition." The doctor said.

Si Li turned to look at Lu Lan, who was sleeping on the bed. Her face had turned pale, and her brows were deeply knitted.

"Come with your special team to the Diamond Hills. I am taking her back to home. " Si Li said to the doctor as he walked to held Lu Lan in his arms.

Si Li knew that once Lu Lan awoke, she would insist on returning to her Wang Wei's house. He couldn't use force on her because she was injured. So it would be better to bring her to Diamond Hills before she regained consciousness.

If someone else had ordered him, the doctor would have denied him, but knowing Si Li's status in Country X, he immediately directed his team to Diamond Hills.

When Little Champ arrived in Diamond Hills, he was franticed to discover that Lu Lan and Si Li had not arrived.

He immediately insisted on returning to Wang Wei's house because Lu Lan was sure to be there, but Madam Si stopped him.

Since Si Li had taken Lu Lan from Wang Wei's house, he would bring her to Diamond Hills once the couple's dispute was resolved.

Still, it took a long time for Madam Si to coax Little Champ because, as a child, he couldn't understand much. Finally, he agreed to stay until the next morning. If Lu Lan did not return by then, he would go find his mother.

Fortunately, Si Li arrived home with Lu Lan and a team of doctors before the sun rose.

"What happened to Xiao Lan?" Madam Si worriedly ran towards them and asked.

"Her wound has opened. Don't worry, nothing is serious. She just needs rest." Si Li said as he took Lu Lan to their room.

The doctors checked Lu Lan's wound again after Si Li placed her on the bed and found no problems.

Still, they stay on Diamond Hills for the night. Thus, they went to the guest room which the housekeeper had organized for them.

Little Champ had already fallen asleep, so he was unaware of Lu Lan's condition.

While Elder Si and Madam Si relaxed because Little Champ and Lu Lan had finally returned after such a long time.

Si Li, on the other hand, was unable to unwind.

Si Li had sent his men to find Mo Jiang, despite the fact that he did not go himself. However, no information about Mo Jiang was available.

However, Si Li had no idea that Mo Jiang had not only gone far away but had also arrived at his headquarters.
