The Mysterious CEO

"Bang!"

Mo Jiang shot the woman in the head, and her head landed on the steering wheel. The blood splattered on the windshield's glass.

Mo Jiang, on the other hand, couldn't care less about her. Perhaps Old Mo Jiang would have cared for innocent lives, but now he could only care for his family.

He got out of the car and walked over to the building, where he stood in front of it.

From the outside, it appeared to be an abandoned building with no one inside. Mo Jiang, on the other hand, was aware that his men were still inside.

The structure did not change slightly. As he stared at the building, an unexplainable emotion glinted in his eyes, and he began walking inside.

He hadn't eaten or drank anything. Furthermore, his face had turned pale as a result of his lack of rest, but he didn't care.

There was only one thought going through his head right now. He had to track down Liu Juan and kill Marcus and others.

As Mo Jiang expected, despite the fact that midnight had passed, Mo Jiang's men were working nonstop.

When the man on guard noticed that someone was approaching, he immediately turned alert. Even though Mo Jiang couldn't see him, the guard noticed someone entering the building.

The entrance corridor was dark, making it impossible to see the face of whoever dared to enter the abandoned at this hour of the morning.

The guard was ready to open fire on whoever was approaching.

Before the man had a chance, Mo Jiang placed his hand on the wall, causing the lights to turn on and the door in the shape of a wall to move, opening the entrance door of the building.

The guard was taken back. Not only to see how the person knew the secret information to enter into the building but also to see the face of the man.

He could not believe whom he was seeing.

It felt like a dream.

He immediately activated the alert alarm, and the entire base went into alert mode. All men stopped working and went to the hall, armed with their weapons.

"What happened?" The old man came to inquire. As he did not get anything for the attack so why did the guard ring the alert alarm.?

Xiao Tao frowned and looked outside along with other men. They were all taken aback by what they saw.

Xiao Tao's eyes widened in shock. "Boss." He stuttered.

He immediately walked outside the building where Mo Jiang was standing.

"Boss...Is that really you?" Xiao Tao asked in disbelief.

Mo Jiang chuckled. "I could say, the time has made you old, Xiao Tao, that you can't recognize me now." Mo Jiang smiled weakly and he lost his balance.

Xiao Tao immediately rushed to hold him. "Boss."

His forehead was beaded with sweat. "I am alright. Don't worry. It's good to see you all again" Mo Jiang ȧssured them but all of them were smart enough to know Mo Jiang was faking.

"Get the water. Let's go inside, Boss." Xiao Tao ordered the guard and supported Mo Jiang inside the building.

The wall was closed shut. The building turned dull and old abandon.

Diamond Hills.

The next morning, the birds chirping sound was heard and the sunlight was falling inside the room.

The curtains were drawn open. Lu Lan shivered as the cold morning breeze entered the room. She subconsciously pulled the blanket over her, but she couldn't because something was preventing it from moving.

She tried several times, but the blanket did not bulge enough to cover her. She turned around, grumpily, and opened her drowsy eyes. The first thing she saw was the man's face, which she didn't want to see.

Her eyelids blinked a few times as if she was dreaming, but the person's face remained.

'Where I am?' She thought to herself.

Lu Lan examined her surroundings and found them to be familiar. It took her a few moments to realize she was in her and Si Li's room.

Then she remembered last night's conversation. Her brow furrowed immediately. She had planned to live at Wang Wei's house, but Si Li brought her there.

Her drowsiness had vanished. She turned to get up and to go back to Wang Wei's house before Si Li could stop her.

"Why did you bring me here?" Lu Lan asked angrily and tried to push his arm away from her but he encased her beneath his arms.

"This is your home. If I didn't bring to here where should I take you?" Si Li asked in an oblivious manner.

His eyes remained closed, but he appeared to be much calmer. He seemed completely unconcerned that Lu Lan was upset with him.

"This is not my home." Lu Lan said, a pang of sadness could be seen in her eyes while her voice was aggressive which showed her anger.

Then only Si Li opened his eyes. "If this is not your home, whose is it ?" Si Li asked softly.

"As I've already stated, our marriage is—-" Lu Lan opened her mouth to respond, but Si Li cut her off.

"One more wrong word and be ready for punishment."

Hearing, Lu Lan's eyes blazed with rage.

"What I'm about to say is correct! You don't give a damn about me. You've always regarded your marriage as a contract. That's why you didn't stay when I found out about our child and when..." Lu Lan tried hard not to cry, but the sob escaped her lips and tears streamed down her cheeks.

Si Li let out a sigh. He wished he could go back in time and kill Shu Han-You before she harmed Lu Lan and their child.

Si Li moved to hug her from behind.

"I'm sorry..." Si Li murmured softly. "It was my fault that I didn't protect you and our child."

"I don't want your apology. Let me go back to Uncle Wei's house. I need some time alone." Lu Lan said after a while, after controlling her emotions.

"Little Champ's birthday is in a few days. Are you sure you want to leave him at that weak moment of his life? You know what had happened on his birthday, don't you?"Si Li said.

He knew that this time, Lu Lan was in a lot of pain, and using force on her would only make things worse. So he would use Lu Lan's weakness, Little Champ, to make her stay here. With time, he could erase all her grievance as this was what he could think now.

[A/n: I have been adding this note on 5th Oct.  On 31st August I passed out because my health is not supporting my workload and I have to make a trip to the hospital for three more days. Also, I feel stressed whenever I can't post the daily update. This is affect my mental state badly. Also, I think the quality of my novel is going down. So I have decided to take a break from the updates. Of course, I will write the book during this period but I will not post any chapters. The update will start from 1st December. Sorry to disappoint you again but this is the best step I can think of. Hope you will understand. This is the last time, I am taking a break. I will come back with the complete book..
