Diamond Hills.

After fresh up, Lu Lan refused to eat anything as she insisted to go back to her uncle's house with Little Champ.

Si Li could not hold back her but he held Little Champ.

Since Lu Lan wasn't eating anything, Si Li locked Little Champ in his room and refused to give him any food as well.

Lu Lan's ċhėst swelled with rage as she witnessed his cruelty.

"How can you be so cruel? He is your son and you are starving him. I have never seen such a heartless father." Lu Lan couldn't help but bring some food for Little Champ, who had been locked in his room since the morning, but Si Li stopped her.

She could stay hungry but she could not let her child be hunger. After all, only Little Champ stayed with her even she needed support.

"Since I am his father, I can do whatever I want to do with him." Si Li said nonchalantly.

"You are a cruel man!" Lu Lan looked at him angrily.

"So are you. If you don't want your son to stay hungry, go eat food first then I will take him out and let him eat whatever he wants to." Si Li said.

"Don't pull him in our fight." Lu Lan said.

"I will pull him. What would you do?"

"You…"

She looked at the closed door of Little Champ's room. She wished to break it to free her son, who had been imprisoned by his cruel father.

So with no support, she had turned helpless.

Little Champ came to knock on the door a few times, but since no one had opened his room door, he had stopped.

Little Champ's condition was different, Lu Lan's heart squashed at the thought of something bad would happen to him if he stayed alone in the room for a longer period of time.

Seeing that Si Li had no intention to back step, she took the sandwich and took a bit of it.

"Happy?" Lu Lan asked angrily, her cheeks puffed up from the large bite of sandwich she had in her mouth.

"No. Go downstairs and eat everything I have filled on your plate. Only then, I will open the door before that, no chance." Si Li said as he leaned back on the wall calmly despite getting hateful glances from Lu Lan.

Lu Lan wished he could smear all the sandwiches on his smug face. Nonetheless, she returned to eat her breakfast.

Only after, Si Li let Little Champ out of his room.

"Little Champ." Lu Lan's anxious heart calmed down when she saw that Little Champ was fine. Otherwise, if anything happened to Little Champ, she would have fought Si Li until her last breath.

Little Champ had a feeling Lu Lan would do something like that based on previous experience. He also knew that even though his mother was angry with his father at the time, she still loved him.

As a result, Little Champ agreed to ȧssist his father for the sake of his mommy's happiness.

The banging on the door was also Si Li's plan so that Lu Lan's heart would clutch hearing them.

Fortunately, Lu Lan ate her breakfast and now Little Champ was out.

"Mommy, I am hungry." Little Champ pitifully said as he hugged her.

Si Li was envious when he saw them. It had been a long time since he had hugged her soft body.

It was a rare occurrence for Si Li to be envious of Little Champ. After all, Si Li had always separated Lu Lan from Little Champ and kept Lu Lan with him whenever he was at home, but he couldn't do so now.

"Let's go. Mommy will feed you." Lu Lan held his hand and walked downstairs, completely ignoring Si Li.

Not even spared a thought that Si Li hadn't eaten anything.

Lu Lan lovely feed Little Champ while Si Li ate the food bitterly, watching both of them.

Si Li then spent the rest of the day with his wife and son, despite the fact that they had been ignoring him.

Although a huge amount of work piled up in the office, Si Li did not care for it. Now his mission was only to take care of his wife and son. He even cooked their favorite dishes and even washed Lu Lan's clothes which include her dirty undėrġȧrmėnts.

Mu Che had made several trips to Diamond Hills but Si Li refused to meet him in case Lu Lan would get angry that he was still giving importance to his work.

Although Lu Lan was pretending to ignore him completely, she couldn't ignore his care and attention.

Her mind was much more at ease now that Si Li had returned. She was also considering to ask him where he was.

But she stopped herself. If Si Li had wanted to tell her, he would have done so by now, but he didn't. So she knew that even if she asked him, he would not tell her.

And this thought made her unconformable. Although Si Li had told her about his underworld business, she did not know more than that.

Now Lu Lan was living in constant fear every day that would she see Si Li at the end of the day?

Si Li wanted to tell her about Mo Jiang, but now that she had lost their child, he wasn't sure how she would react to the news.

Moreover, Mo Jiang was missing now, so Si Li didn't think it was the right time to tell her anything about Mo Jiang.

In the blink of an eye, the day came to end. Si Li wanted to take Lu Lan in their room but she rejected and insisted to sleep in Little Champ's room.

Si Li knew that he could not force her so he agreed without any argument.

Obviously, Little Champ was happy to sleep with his mommy. Since so many days, Lu Lan was sleeping with him that now it became his habit to sleep with his mommy. But now that they were back to Diamond Hills, he doubt he could sleep with his mommy on a regular as his father could kidnap his mommy like the last time.

Whereas Lu Lan did not show on her face, she was not happy that Si Li's agreed with her so easily. It seemed that she was right, his love for her was fading.

However, before her thoughts go wide, Si Li entered in Little Champ's room with his pillow.

However, things did not stop here, before Little Champ and Lu Lan could lay down on the bed, Si Li shamelessly laid on the middle of the bed.

Both Little Champ and Lu Lan were speechless.

"This is my bedroom why are you sleeping here?" Little Champ asked angrily.

"What do you mean 'Why am I sleeping?'  I've been gone for so long; don't you miss your father?"

  "No, I don't." Little Champ deadpanned while maintaining the poker face.

'What a heartless child.' Si Li thought displeasedly.

"But I do and thought it is good time to improve our relationship as a father and son. Now come and sleep before it gets too late. I heard that you haven't been going to your school since the last few days. Now I am back, ou should get up early tomorrow to go to school." Si Li said and did not give chance to Little Champ to protest and held him up and truck in beside him while leaving the right side of the bed for Lu Lan.

Little Champ struggled to get back to his mommy as he looked at Lu Lan pleadingly.

"Hush now. Your mommy will tell us your bedtime story." Si Li patted his stomach while looking at Lu Lan meaningfully.

Initially, Lu Lan wanted to leave the room since Si Li had decided to sleep with Little Champ but now he had mentioned the bedtime story, Little Champ looked at her with anticipation.

Lu Lan throw an angrily glance at Si Li and walked to the other side of the bed while Si Li had left for her.

She took Little Champ's favorite bedtime story and read it. Despite the fact that not sleeping in his mother's arms was very uncomfortable for Little Champ, he dozed off quickly as Si Li patted him.

Seeing him sleeping peacefully, Si Li carefully pulled the blanket over him..  Lu Lan put the book away and was ready to leave the room.
