But Si Li held her hand. "Where are you going?" Si Li whispered in a fear that Little Champ would wake up.

"Back to my room." Lu Lan said and tried to retreat her hand back.

"But did you not say you will sleep with Little Champ? He will be disappointed if he won't see you tomorrow morning beside him and blame me." Si Li said while refusing to let go of her hands.

"He won't once he sees his father with him." Lu Lan sarcastically said.

After all, there were many times where Lu Lan wanted to sleep with Little Champ and sometimes she succeeded to sleep with her son but Si Li always came in the mid of the night and kidnapped her back to their room.

"Well…but his father will not be with him if his mommy leaves. After all, it feels good to sleep when a soft body is laying beside me. Not a doubt, Little Champ's body is soft but it could not compare with his mommy." Si Li said in a subtly way but Lu Lan was smart enough to understand the meaning behind his words.

But before she could curse him any further, he drew her into his arms.

Lu Lan was caught off guard and fell in his arms.

"See, I wasn't wrong." Si Li whispered next to her ears as his big arms wrapped around her soft petite body.

"Leave me." Lu Lan struggled to get out of his embrace but Si Li's arms were tightly wrapped around her, giving her no chance to get away from him.

"I love you." Si Li confessed suddenly to which Lu Lan's body stiffened.

"Don't lie." Lu Lan turned her face away as she did not know to want him to know how she was feeling hearing his confession.

She was scared that once she believed in him, he would break his heart again and leave her alone.

Previously, he had sent her to Country M without considering her wish and this time, he left her alone when she needed him the most.

"Whatever had happened, will never happen again Lan. I promise." Si Li turned her face to him and said softly. "Please give me one  last chance Lan." He begged him.

His eyes showed nothing but love for her which made her eyes red. She did not want to cry but her tears betrayed her again and sobs escaped from her lips.

"I am sorry." Si Li's heart was crushed to see her tears. He wiped her tears and pulled her in his arms tightly.

Lu Lan could not control her emotions and cry in his arms.

It took her a while before she stopped crying but hiccups still escaped from her lips. Si Li helped her to drink water and then, helped her to lay beside him.

Tears were streaming down on her cheeks as she said. "I couldn't save our child."

"It was not your fault, it was my fault. I am sorry, Lan." Si Li whispered.

"But I wanted my child." Lu Lan cried.

Lu Lan never had such a deep dėsɨrė for anything in her life but she desperately wanted her child back.

Si Li always fulfilled her wishes but this was the first time, he couldn't fulfill it which he regretted more than anyone else.

He just hugged her back.  "I promise we will get our child soon and then I will never leave your side for a second." Si Li promised her.

"Don't cry now. It breaks my heart." Si Li continued to hold her in his arms in fear that she could go away.

Soon, tired Lu Lan fell asleep, and while Si Li's mind drift to a thought that how he should deal with Lu Xuelon and Lu Yaohua who were still alive.

Si Li's men had integrated them, but they claimed they had no idea Shu Han-You was carrying a gun. Nonetheless, Lu Yaohua had enticed Lu Lan into his office, and Si Li would be unable to sleep peacefully until he exacted his revenge.

Someone had killed Si Li's child and he was willing to let them go simply because they were Lu Lan's family. What a joke?

Si Li was deep in thought when his phone began to vibrate. He picked up the phone with his free hand. It was Mu Che.

"President, bad news. Mo Jinnan and Sun Choi's men have attacked at our base." Mu Che said in a grave tone

Immediately, his eyes narrowed in a wave of anger. His jaw clenched.

Si Li had not only lost his child but he also lost his men. Si Li also knew that if he hadn't mentioned his men not to kill Mo Jinnan and Song Tianxin, his men would have been alive.

But, by killing his men, could Mo Jinnan think that he was above him that now he had come to attack his base?

He did have guts!

"Fight back." Si Li sternly said.

"But President, their numbers is more than us." Mu Che freakily said.

"So what? Don't forget this is my territory." Si Li replied stonily.

"Understand, President." Mu Che said and hung up.

Because Si Li wanted them to fight back, he would finish their enemy even if it meant putting their own lives in danger.

At that moment, Si Li really wanted to go and teach Mo Jinnan a lesson for messing up with him but thinking about Lu Lan, he closed his eyes to control his anger.

Then he heard. "Go."
