The Mysterious CEO

Si Yan was sitting on a stool and while his head was resting on the bed under his arms. His fringe fell on his forehead and his face was showing tiredness in his slumber.

Last night, although Wang Yan was in deep sleep, she could feel that someone was constantly putting the wet towel over her forehead.

And he seemed that he didn't sleep last night.

Wang Yan knew Si Yan had feelings for her but she was scared to get hurt again. In fact, many times, Zhang Fang had arranged a date for her but she never went for it. She always stayed away from him as well as from any other man.

Why?

Because she had lost trust in the creature like men.

Wang Yan loved a man in Country M. There was a time when she thought she was a blissful girl in this whole world but one night has changed her believe. One night she was drunk and that man took away her first time and later cheated on her by saying that he would never marry a girl who looked a tomboy.

Wang Yan was so angry that she went to beat him. But he was a man whose strength was more than her.

He pushed her and she lost her child. What was more, he not only helped her to send her to the hospital, he left her alone to die by calling her a whore.

Since then Wang Yan never touched any drink and made her so strong that no one could hurt her ever again.

Wang Yan didn't cry at that time but hearing Si Yan's words her old untreated wound opened up that her tears couldn't hold themselves.

At that moment, Si Yan's eyes flutteringly opened and he joltingly sat and put his hands on her forehead.

"When do you wake up? How are you feeling? Do you want me to call the doctor? Are you hungry?..." Si Yan asked tons of questions in one breath that Wang Yan didn't chance to speak.

So she just stare at him while his words from last night were echoing in her mind.

'Should I give him a chance?' Wang Yan asked herself.

Si Yan had never cared for anyone before so he didn't know how to take care of a person.

So he freaked out seeing her suffering in high fever but soon he realized that he was only saying and didn't let her say anything.

"Yan…" He worriedly looked at her.

"I am hungry." Wang Yan replied in a raspy voice and weakly got up to freshen up.

"Ohh…Yes…You go and freshen up and I will cook something for you." Si Yan helped her to walk the bathroom and strode to Kitchen.

'How foolish of me for not preparing anything for her?' He scolded himself and quickly cooked porridge for her.

"Ah…I don't know how to cook… Besides, the doctor said that you should eat something light…I hope you don't mind." Si Yan awkwardly put a bowl of porridge in front of her.

"Don't worry…I am okay with it." Wang Yan replied and tasted it.

Although the porridge looked awfully, it tasted good that Wang Yan finished it in no time.

"How are you feeling now?" Si Yan asked after she was full.

"Hmm…Fine. I want to go home." Wang Yan replied. She took a handkerchief and wiped her mouth.

The atmosphere was a little awkward between them.

"Yeah…Sure…I will drop you at your home. Take a rest for a day. Tomorrow is Little Champ's birthday party as so his aunty, you have to there." Si Yan said and went to pick the car's keys. 

Noticing that he hadn't said anything about last night, Wang Yan felt disheartened. Perhaps, he didn't deserve a chance.

However, she realized that her thinking was wrong once they reached below Wang Yan's flat.

Si Yan held her hand as Wang Yan was about to get down from his car. "Yan…about last night…I am sorry… but… I like you and…I want you to give me a chance…I promise…I will make you happy… Rest is your decision but I will not give up until you do."

Wang Yan was startled 'I won't give up until you do.' Hearing his words, tears welled up in his eyes and she sniffed.

She immediately turned her face away and quickly wiped her tears.

"Why are you crying?" Si Yan furrowed. He turned her face towards him and wiped her tears before continuing to say. "If you are moved by my words just say that you like me. Don't cry. You look ugly."

Wang Yan immediately shot an angry look at him and slapped away his hands. "Who console someone by calling them ugly?"

Si Yan's smile threatened to appear on his lips but he control it otherwise Wang Yan would get burst on him.

"Alright. My bad. I am sorry." Si Yan apologized.

"You are smiling." Wang Yan said through gritted teeth.

"I am not…Hey….Hey…"  His smile did appear on his face and seeing him, Wang Yan angrily got down from his car but Si Yan soon caught up with her and pulled her in his embrace for a hug.

Wang Yan pushed him but he didn't budge "I am just happy…that you didn't reject me this time.: Si Yan explained with an innocent expression on his face.

But Wang Yan didn't seem to trust him. "Really…I am not lying…" Si Yan insisted while continuing to show his smile despite noticing her anger look/

Wang Yan stayed still in his arms and asked. "Do you really do what you have said?"

"Why don't you watch it yourself? Be my girlfriend and see how I bring all kinds of happiness to you, huh?" Si Yan believed that action was more important than words so he would provide her how serious he was.

"Hmm…" Wang Yan hummed in low voice and looked at him.

Her eyes twinkled because of her unshed tears. She looked like a pitful lady that it feel like the first time, Si Yan had a strong dėsɨrė to protect her.

"Alright. Go upstairs and rest for the day. I will come and pick you tomorrow." Si Yan patted her head but she slapped his hand away. "I am not a child."

"I know. Otherwise, I won't make you my girlfriend." He teasingly grinned disregarding her stern look.

"Alright…Now go up…" Si Yan controlled his smile and turned her around to send her upstairs.

"But I want to see Xiao Lan." Wang Yan didn't forget about Lu Lan.

"She is alright. You can meet her tomorrow."

"But…"

"Enough…She is now part of Si Family…Even though, sister-in-law hurt something, big brother knows how to take care of her." Si Yan would never forget to take Si Li.

"Alright." Wang Yan agreed eventually as she knew Si Li loved Lu Lan very much so he would never knowingly let her get hurt.

And Si Yan was right.. Si Li had been looking after Lu Lan and Little Champ without resting for a second while Mo Jiang drove back to Juan's villa.
