"Well, if we want to reach the capital and implement the plan by Saturday, we have to leave Alluna this early," Wulfric answered.

Astrid nodded, realizing he had completely overlooked the logistics. Despite the advancements in space travel, with space warps significantly reducing travel time, journeying from one planet to another still required considerable time, especially when crossing different galaxies.

On that note, he suddenly realized it would take days to travel from the capital to Delryria. He recalled the long journey he and Reas had experienced when they first left for the capital. With their departure set for Saturday, it was impossible to arrive by the next morning. Considering the time needed for the return trip, he and Reas would have to file for at least a week of leave from school.

"How long do you think it will take us to travel to Delryria and back?" he asked. "Will it be more than a week?"

"We'll be using a smaller vessel, which can move much faster. Additionally, we'll be traveling through space warps reserved exclusively for my army. No one will dare stop us for checkpoints, so we can reach our destination at the fastest speed possible," Wulfric explained. "So going back and forth will take five days at least."

Five days? Then he and Reas would have to miss three days of school. Astrid would be fine since Redwood was quite lax about attendance. However, he wasn't so sure about the Imperial Military Academy. There was a chance Reas might not be allowed to skip classes. His brother must have known that, but Reas hadn't mentioned any concerns about being unable to go.

He must have a plan to ensure he could join them. Astrid just hoped it wouldn't affect his brother's academic record.

Wulfric seemed to have read what he was thinking because he added;

"I can pull some strings to get Reas a three-day leave of absence."

"You can do that?" Astrid asked, surprised.

"Sure."

Before Astrid could let out a sigh of relief, he suddenly realized potential problems. "Are you sure that's okay? Won't the teachers at the military academy think badly of Reas if you pull strings for him like that?"

When Wulfric didn't answer immediately, Astrid knew that his worry was not unfounded.

Wulfric turned to Hildred, who just spoke. "There will be no trouble if I can help it."

"So, is our prince admitting that you and Astrid Townsend finally reached paradise?"

"Hey, don't talk about Aster in that tone," Wulfric said, his voice carrying a hint of warning.

Hildred raised both hands in mock surrender, a teasing smile spreading across his face. "But you did confess to him, right?"

"What, did you listen to my private conversation?" Wulfric asked, irritated.

"Wulf, it's not my fault you didn't click the private setting of your Terminal before answering the call. Besides, I'm not the only one who heard it," Hildred said, then turned to where Edmund and Slade were sitting. "You heard it too, right?" Explore more adventures at m,v l'-NovelFire

"I—I've suddenly gone deaf and didn't hear anything! Certainly nothing about any confession!" Edmund declared in his typical, Edmund-like fashion.

Slade rolled his eyes at that. "I heard it. And even if I'm in a state of shock right now, I won't say anything. That's Captain's business, after all. Although I wouldn't mind hearing all the juicy details."

"Yes, Wulf, tell us some juicy details," Hildred added. "I think we deserve to hear some of it after being pulled into your sweetheart's problem. Don't worry, we'll be satisfied with how you confess with Astrid. Right?"

Slade laughed. "Yeah, I'd be down with that."

"I- I don't have any opinion!" Edmund said when Wulfric glanced at him.

Wulfric looked at the three and sighed, feeling his headache intensify. He knew things would be chaotic with them around. If Leland weren't needed in Alluna, he would have preferred to take him along instead of these three.

"I confessed. If you want more details, you have to defeat me in a fight."
