After all the outer and inner disciples and all the other members in family left the hall, Qai had immediately relayed Qai what he needed.

There were actually two important matters Qai wanted to say.

"Father..," he sincerely requested, "..since the spring water I have in possession is an important treasure of our family, I would have to trouble someone to bring one tub of it to Sun City for the Silvermoon Apes.."

Upon hearing Qai's query, Shu Wei quickly understood the situation and thought for a moment.

Of course, Qai had already explained earlier how he found a hidden spring in the Yellow Springs' mountain range and explained the difficulty to get it back to the place or the probability of having it ran dry.

"This is no small matter," Shu Wei quickly said. "Maybe I should personally bring it there since Elder 'Fatty' Lu had already left.. and let Jing accompany me."

Qai simply nodded.

He could not simply entrust it to somebody else. And since the family head was already at the peak Sky stage of the Sage realm while Jing was also in the Earth stage of Sage realm, it could be said that the spring water would be in safe hands during the trip.

The amount of spring water that Qai actually had in possession was around ten tubs only. It was truly unfortunate that Qai could only hoard that much with limited containers he had back then.

Such amount may only be enough to awaken all his current domesticated demonic beasts l—that was after considering the idea of giving each member of the family few drinks of it. That was why every single drop of such priceless spring water was important.

After finishing with the first matter, Qai quickly took out the rusty sword he got in the forbidden Hundred Graves.

"Old Liu Hei," he said. "I am not certain what kind of sword is this."

Qai handed it over and briefly explained how he got it. He particularly asked the protector since he seemed to be the most knowledgeable in the family.

"I have actually gotten two other Inheritance rank items in my adventure..," he said. "But that one does not seem like it."

The old emperor was not surprised when he said he had two Inheritance items as he could already figured that out since he saw Qai. At the same time, Qai knew he would not be able to hide them from the eyes of Liu Hei that was why he said it.

"Inheritance items!?"

It was Shu Wei who was dumbfounded.

Qai thus simply pointed to the two items he got and briefly demonstrated their abilities.

The family head almost vomited from shock. Of course he already heard before what Inheritance rank items were but he hadn't actually seen one since most Inheritance items were obviously secret treasures of cultivators.

And even if such items were supposedly secret he could trust his father and the Shu family's protector about them—Qai was certain that old Liu Hei, being an emperor, had his own Inheritance items.

However, even old Liu Hei was surprised at the abilities of Qai's Inheritance items specially his Shadow Cloak—the invisibility ability was definitely something that would make even the great sects' higher ups envious.

"Ahem."

Right after Liu Hei composed himself from shock, he then gave his point about the rusty sword.

"If I am not mistaken..," the emperor said in excitement, "..this sword is some sort of array rune.. and a high grade one at that!"

"Eh!?"

"Actually," Liu Hei continued. "This what this territory nedded."

The old Protector explained that he once said that he would help the family head set up some arrays to strengthen the territories defenses and not just rely on detecting barriers.

He explained that they could set it up at the center of the plateau.

And to activate it, he said that they would need tons of 'Spirit Stones.' But since the Shu family now had its own source of 'Spirit Stones,' there would be no problem setting it up.

"Then let's do it," Qai quickly said with a grin.

Since its a defensive array, there was no better way to utilize it than placing it in the his family territory.

And so in the next few days, the entire plateau was once again busy with some tasks.

After giving each a full gourd of spring water to each cultivator in the family which quickly strengthened their elemental affinities, Qai spent the rest to his domesticated demonic beasts.

And after few days of bathing the domesticated demonic beasts with the spring water, the effects of awakening had been evident.

The two War Horses had awakened the Fire and Earth attributes while the two Dire Wolves both had Wind elemental affinity. The Battle Ox also awakened the Earth element while Storm Bear surprisingly awakened the Wood attribute. In effect their skills had become enveloped with their new found attributes.

Qai was hoping that his Silvermoon Apes would soon awaken the Ice element—the same element their parents had.

At the same time, old Liu Hei only needed a couple of days to finish setting up the defensive array. But it eventually needed tens of thousands of Spirit Stones.

And after inviting everyone to see its effect, old Liu Hei gave Shu Wei the keys to test it out.

Before the family head began, everyone held their breaths.

After some crack crack sounds, dense Qi energy quickly formed in mid air.

'Wabaaaaaaam.'

A breath after activating the array, thousands of spiritual swords flew around the entire plateau that emitted powerful Qi energy.

Those sounds would obviously kill any elite Sage cultivator and could stall emperors for a period of time.

"Amazing."

Old Liu Hei said. He admitted that even he would not dare to get trapped in the array.

Qai celebrated in his heart at the sight of the swords and said.

"Let's call this Thousand Sword Array."
