The Other Side of A Cultivation Story

Upon seeing Qai, two Purple Mist disciples noticed the missing member of their goup and inquired what happened.

"We met two groups in a hallway..," Qai explained. "I don't know which family or clan they're from.. when we got there, everything just ended up in a free-for-all fight," Qai explained.

Qai knew from the faces of the sect disciples that they had a slight doubt about what he said, but he thought that they would pass through the hallway anyway--so he felt they would eventually believe what he said the moment they see the dead bodies on the ground.

'That's two Black Shadow down,' Qai thought.

Qai was in deep thought when the Purple Mist Sect disciples told him that they should check the other team at the entrance.

"We should go and see what's the situation in the other team's position," one of the sect cultivators said.

After Qai nodded in reply, they proceeded towards the entrance of the dungeon.

Along the way, they indeed passed through the hallway which Qai mentioned. There they found the dead bodies of the two groups in accord with Qai's description. They also saw their team member's body--although it was hardly recognizeable due to Qai's relentless onslaught.

They also happened to meet other teams roaming around the building. And as part of their routine, they tried to pressure all the other groups they meet to turn their backs and just leave the palace.

So far none among the groups which Qai and his team encountered had insisted to stay. They were easily convinced by Qai and the two other sect disciples. Thus, their way to the entrance was relatively smooth.

But upon reaching the door to the stairway, they noticed that Hao Ren and his group were very much exhausted from too much fights.

"Seems like you guys had a rough time in here," Qai said.

"Heh," Hao Ren mocked. "Says the team who looks like it just lost a member."

Qai simply rubbed his nose with a slight grin on his face. He then took some medicinal pills from his spatial ring and threw them to the other members of the group who caught the pills and immediately sat down and went to heal themselves.

After Hao Ren and the other members of the team recuperated, Qai suggested that they should get down the dungeon.

"We should check what's going on down there," Qai said.

"It feels like those teams from outside had already gotten into their senses that they're not gonna find anything around here," he added.

All of them nodded in agreement and so they went their way down to the place where the treasured cauldron was and where the rest of the Purple Mist Sect disciples were gathered.
