Chapter 26.3: Amnesia

“Just who could it have been? That caused her Little Xi to suffer so much. If she finds out who the culprit is, she would have the person cut but a thousand blades.”

“Mother…..”

Feeling the sinister murder coming out of Duanmu Xue, Duanmu Xi called out to her mother softly.

Guangfu Che patted Duanmu Xue gently on the back. He would not spare a single person who came to harm Little Xi in anyway.

“Alright. Let’s not talk about this anymore. Little Xi, aren’t you going to introduce your fiance to your mother?”

Hearing Huangfu Che’s highly teasing voice, the faces of Duanmu Xi and Xuanyuan Mo immediately turned red.

“Fiance? What Fiance?”Duanmu Xue’s brows knitted up in incomprehension.

Duanmu Xi then wiggled herself out from Duanmu Xue’s embrace before pulling Xuanyuan Mo standing at the side in closer, to introduce him to Duanmu Xue.

“Mother, he’s called Xuanyuan Mo, and he is….. The person that I like.”

Once she said that, her face turned so red it looked like her face was going to bleed.

But she did not regret it at all. Since she had set her mind that it would be him, then it wouldn’t bother her even if she were to tell the whole world.

And when Xuanyuan Mo heard Duanmu Xi say the words “the person I like”, an indescribable kind of joy then came to fill his heart.

….. Duanmu Xue was stunned. [Little Xi has not even yet grown up and she already has someone she likes. She’s really quite a bit more bullish than she herself was back then.]

“Junior Xuanyuan Mo pays his respects to the Vermillion Bird Kingdom’s Lady Emperor.” Xuanyuan Mo said as he bowed before Duanmu Xue in greeting.

Duanmu Xue had noticed Xuanyuan Mo earlier back when they were in the Vermilion Bird Grand Hall and it could be seen that his looks were really as outstanding as what the Phoenix Guards had reported, definitely worthy of competing with her own Che at least.

“Your surname is Xuanyuan, are you from the White Tiger Kingdom’s Imperial Family?”

Xuanyuan Mo was taken aback by surprise a moment before he nodded and said: “Yes.”

Duanmu Xue arched up an eyebrow. [This is really has quite an illustrious background. But…..]

“One from the White Tiger Imperial Family. Would you then be marrying into our Vermillion Bird?”

….. This was a question that had not really been carefully considered.

From their conversation, Duanmu Xi seemed to have realized something. The White Tiger Kingdom wouldn’t be a kingdom where women reigned, and it could be said that she had been mistaken all this time. Snowy really might not be from a country where women were revered over men.

“Xue Er, isn’t it a little too early to be talking about that? Little Xi hasn’t even grown up.”

Huangfu Che furrowed up his brows to say. He was not going to allow his Little Xi to get married early. Not even if it was just to get her a mate.

“This is a problem that we will definitely come to face in future, so it is better that we make certain things clear now to prevent having Little Xi get hurt in future.”

“She won’t. I will never allow Little Xi’s feelings to be hurt.”

Those few simple words had however drummed in Duanmu Xi’s ears like a vow.
