Chapter 351: Subjugating Barbarians - Part 6!

Bergorakh's face darkened, and he twisted his body in order to create some distance between him and the monster who could catch his weapon with bare hands. But just as he moved three steps back, his hair stood erect, and his instinct screamed to roll forward.

An icy harrumph sounded from the silhouette behind him before he felt a pat on the back of his neck.

An inconceivable event followed!

As soon as the young barbarian warrior heard him, he violently trembled. Afterward, his figure stopped and was left in a daze before falling down on his knees with his eyes rolled up.

This was to be expected.

Alex had cultivated his body to the 3rd stage of the Body Cultivation realm, that is, the Bronze stage; there is no way Bergorakh could keep up with his speed. Also, the resulting strength output is enough to easily kill any Rank 2 Barbarian or Early-stage Elemental Gathering Realm cultivator with a punch.

And here, even though Bergorakh had somehow raised his physical capabilities to an Early-stage Rank 3 Barbarian, only a pat to the neck plus sneaking a lightning element shock to the brain through touch was all that needed to make him fall asleep.

"N-No way! How could this be possible? When did he get behind Bergorakh?"

"Just a little pat, and he fell down? How? What sorcery is this?"

"Fuck, that Thor guy had previously caught the sharp blade waved at him with bare hands; that alone made me realize Bergorakh would lose."

"Who is this guy? Which tribe does he belong to?"

"I don't think I heard any of the seven tribes to have any strong warrior called Thor. Maybe, he is one of the golden warriors under the Great Ulesis?"

The lesser ranking barbarians started exclaiming in shock, discussing and trying to understand what occurred in the battle and what could be the background behind the Barbarian named Thor.

Thor shook his head and didn't bother with Bergorakh anymore, who had fallen down on his face. To the Barbarian elder who was now accumulating energy, he said, "A young person shouldn't be impulsive, or you'll lose your life."

Norakh's expressions darkened. Thor's tone was like he was an experienced and wise senior teaching a junior. Also, he wasn't planning to attack; it was just his wild Barbarian instinct that was causing him to gather his inner energy, building his defenses in case the monster standing a few meters in the distance decided to attack him suddenly.

Thor icily looked over at Norakh and smiled coldly. "Before, with Bergorakh, it was just a Garathdium, a non-life-threatening battle. But if you, or the others, aim their weapon at me, be prepared to die."

His words immediately caused an uproar from some of the lesser-ranked Barbarians. This claim was far too arrogant! Even if Thor was stronger than anyone else in the camp, he would still die if they attacked him with the full might of three hundred Barbarians' strength. Even their Chief Romethra Antral would not want to be besieged by so many men at one time.

Karakh, who was looking at Thor all this time in deep thought, came to his senses and turned to his side facing Norakh and signaled his teacher with his eyes to not make any moves.

"It's was a simple duel. I'm sure Lord Thor would not have seriously hurt a junior, so there's nothing to worry about Bergorakh safety, teacher." Karakh said to dispel any misunderstanding.

Thor was impressed with Karakh. He definitely had leadership qualities and deserved praise to stay calm even when the more senior and experienced elder standing beside him had lost his cool before facing a threat of a strong person like him.

"Lord Thor, we Barbarians have always respected the strong. You have already established the fact that you are the strongest Barbarian among the ones present here. You have no reason to lie to us, and I already believe your words. But even then, we have to follow Basho's instructions and stay here to help the human Chief. Without evidence or knowing the whole truth, I cannot retreat even if you tell us to go back." Karakh explained his difficulties.

Thor smiled and replied, "That why I said you would know the truth in a short time. To not bore ourselves until the evidence arrived here, I especially asked for a little duel to pass the time."

"Can you tell me about your identity, Lord Thor? Where do you come from? And why you would come here all the way to tell us to retreat." Karakh asked his doubts. He already believed that the human Chief they had allied with had died, but he can't or won't go back before finding out the cause behind the death of their ally or about Thor, who showed strength enough to rival their own Chief Romethra.

"As a Barbarian myself, I don't want to see any of you shed your blood in the meaningless fight; that's why I came here to inform you beforehand and let you retreat so that you don't involve yourself in humans infighting. Especially, since I know, it would bring a calamity to your tribe if your allied with the wrong human and fought against the foe you have no knowledge about." Thor explained with an expression of a senior teaching his junior.

"As for who I am? I already said I'm Thor. I don't belong to any tribe, or to be more precise, the small tribe where I was born became long extinct when I was just a child."

"Truth to be told, I don't remember the faces of my tribesman anymore; after all, so many years have passed since then. But the past has passed, now I'm what the humans call a rogue cultivator or rogue Barbarian warrior in my case, Zehaha." Thor laughed with a quirky deep voice.

Alex made sure that Thor's character showed no flaw in expression or words when he told them the background details of this body he made up as he spoke.

And it was working if you were to look at the faces of the audience. They were listening with rapt attention and seemed to already have formed a common picture about his life in their head. Some even showed pity on their faces listening to the fate of his tribe.
