The Queen Wicked Deeds

Chapter 114 - You shall not pass!

Three chess games passed before John decided to throw away the chessboard from the balcony. It was enough, that little princess was cheating every time and thought that he won't notice. Shameless!

"Oh no, how aggressive," Anne didn't mind the boy turning into a sore loser. She was not winning, but she had fate in the future and her cheats. No one had set the rule that cheating was not allowed. I repeat, No one.

"You shameless…"

"What?" Anne covered her mouth with surprise.

"…" John had already three veins in his forehead almost popped. "When is that damn barrier turning off, Princess."

"In three hours, yawn…" Anne hadn't slept for an entire day, and she was tired… so tired to even mock the young man in front of her. "Will you wake me up if I ask you nicely?"

"No," John said while crossing his arms and turning his head to the side. He was pouting, for the first time in many years, he was pouting.

He was angry and tired too, but the damn Princess dared to sleep… wait…

"Hey, are you seriously sleeping?!"

Anne didn't care if John wakes her up, she wanted to sleep. Gandalf was already with his stomach up and his cute fluffy head, salivating and snoring at the same time. Now it was her turn to close her eyes and dream.

"Hey!" John tried to wake her up, but she didn't react, she was even drooling now while smiling and chanting a song of a fruit tart. "This… how careless…"

He could only shake his head and stand up to look into the garden, the beautiful garden that he explored with Billie that evening before starting the fight.

"Silly girl," he smiled.

Grandpa Hesse insisted on making Beth stay in the hospital for another checkup until he was finally convinced that she was entirely okay. Not just okay, but happy too.

"I am fine, grandpa."

"I know, darling, but I want to make sure."

"But… what about college, I want to go to school."

"You know you can skip grades if you want."

"…"

Beth had started to move on from the sadness. She was not crying anymore. Her face returned to her rosy color, and she was eating normally again. Though, the normal meal would be bigger, much more.

Grandpa Hesse was worried about her for the last few days, and similar to her, if she didn't eat, he didn't eat, if she didn't smile, he won't smile, and if she cries, he will take her hand and be furious for the one who made her like that.

Beth couldn't take it anymore. To watch the old man succumb to his illness because of her, broke her heart.

The phone number she had memorized was now erased from her thoughts. She even deleted all the photographs they had taken together, the messages, the pictures, letters, gifts were thrown away.

She decided to start again. To feel free again.

The College she decided to enroll in was in another country, a faraway country with snow and snow and snow. She knew she will like it because she liked the snow, and feeling cozy and warm.

"Hey, Gandalf!"

She shouted to a big white ball of hair that was running happily around the house.

He loved it. Space, the new house, the fact that Grandpa Hesse had decided to accompany them, and also that his Master Beth was happy again.

"Are you going to explore the town, little girl?"

"No," she said as she took her computer from her bag. "I will study."

"Whoa…"

"What?"

"Is that true?"

"I need to study, Grandpa, I am not a lazy bun with only thoughts of cookies and cakes and warm chocolate."

"…"

The table was filled with such pastries.

"You will gain weight."

"I am in the best years of my life, Grandpa, I will not gain any pound in this little body of me."

She believed, she had faith in her body and her rapid metabolism.

"…" ]

"Cookies!"

The loud shout of Anne and the sudden bump in the table startled John that had finally closed his tired eyes. After all, he didn't have the heart to leave the princess on her own while sleeping.

"What time is it?"

Anne looked up and noticed the first rays of the sun starting to come out. She smiled and laughed like the crazy maniac she was.

"Muahahahahaha!"

Gandalf also woke up, not because of the laughter but because of something more subtle, the smell. The sweet aroma of a pastry he dėsɨrėd from the pocket of his owner.

"You are shameless…" John said while rubbing his eyes. "This is against the rules."

"Rules?"

"Yes, the rules," John said helplessness, "you know that you will have to face the consequences, right?"

"I don't…" Anne stretched her arms in a not so lady-like manner. "They are the ones at fault."

"What do you mean?"

"They wanted to steal my treasure."

"What are you talking about?"

However, he didn't get his answer when a strange girl with silver hair landed in the frame of the balcony. It was as if she was floating and dancing at the same time.

Anne looked at the girl with narrowed eyes and smirked.

"Look who do we have here!" she mocked and took a bag from her pocket. "It is the sudden apparition of a thief…"

Anne smiled again and took out a chocolate cookie from the bag, then gave Gandalf another one.

"So… you discovered me."

Anne shook her head, "I didn't."

"What?" Lily titled her head to one side. "Weren't you mad at me for… that… what is that?"

Lily moved her nose, smelling the soft aroma of glory. Chocolate chips mixed into the perfect combination of what cookies are made of. The crunching in Anne's mouth and the joy of Gandalf's eyes were everything Lily needed to understand the splendid creation of that dessert.

"What were you saying, little Lily?"

Anne took another bite.

"Where did you get that?"

"This?" Anne smiled, "why should I tell you? It is not as if you can get one on your own."

"You!"

Lily jumped forward and tried to snatch the bag from Anne, however, just then… right then… the protector of the Princess appeared for the first time in the storyline.

The real creature of the fantasies and the true strength of Anne. Gandalf moved in front of Anne with his pose of a true fluffy warrior.

"Woof!"

He barked and Lily moved a tiny step back.

"Are you serious?"

She didn't mind fighting the fluffy dog, but it will be too cruel to hit him, as he was a beautiful creature. Though, she preferred cats.

"Move," she ordered, but Gandalf didn't make a single step, but he looked at her while leaning his head to one side and then to the other.

The view was so… so enchanting that Lily couldn't help but transform her eyes into big hearts.

"You are adorable," she said and kneeled to touch Gandalf's ears. "This is not fair…"

Gandalf passed her a small bag with cookies, it had the logo of the creator. A fluffy black demon with a chef white hat.

"Are you giving this to me?" Lily smiled and look at Anne. "Are you sure?"

Anne shrugged her shoulders and took her own bag of cookies. "Whatever, they are from Gandalf, not mine."

Lily took the small bag and hugged it to her heart. She was happy. She didn't want to steal the device from Anne, but she was feeling angry because her brother Mellie was doing so much for her, even his own soul was in danger.

All because of Anne, and she couldn't do anything. So she thought on giving Anne a bit of trouble.

However, she never thought that the little Princess would give her what she treasured most. A memory of her brother.

"Take it," Lily threw a crystal sphere from her pocket. "I don't want it."

John couldn't believe what was happening. Just a mere cookie could make that little cunning demon girl Lily change sides that easily. What the heck is in those cookies?

Now she was regretting not giving them a try before.

Anne looked at the girl that now was jumping from the balcony and flying into the night. She smiled and nodded.

"Finally," she took the device into her hands and smiled. "I win."

Now, John was more than flabbergasted. The treasure was never in Anne's hands, but with Lily. If only he had called before…

"Dammit!"

He thought of taking the treasure from the frail-looking girl in front of him, but then… Gandalf looked into his eyes.

"…"

John knew that the same trick won't make him fall. He was starting to make his move but… then… Gandalf changed.

His adorable aura was no more, and his gentle-looking eyes were now red. The fluffy dog was conveying a message, a very clear message, 'You shall not pass!'

"Dammit!"
