The Queen Wicked Deeds
Chapter 31 - Pablum, Not a Complaint Letter
[POV of an Academy's random student.]
"There was a time when everything was easier, friends. When school meant something and we, students, and teachers were together united for a better future. But where is all that now? Where did it go? Look at all of you, just conforming with just this… don't you want more, fellows? Don't you think we need a change?!"
"Yes!"
"Don't you think we are worthy of a better future?"
"Yes!"
"We do it for all the people of our nations, for them to have the best leaders, the most outstanding people guiding them to freedom of thought, to a more prosperous and just land to live!"
"Yes!"
"Then follow me and let's go demand justice for our stomachs and… freedom!"
"Yes!"
This is so inspiring.
On the first day of school, we, the new students had the pŀėȧsurė to meet a celebrity, a famous girl around the continent, Princess Anne Du Lith. The rumors were that she was smart and confident, even benevolent and gracious, but more than anything, beautiful.
My name is Eliot, a new fan of Princess Anne. I hope she can give me an autograph after we settle the kitchen issue. I didn't even know that we were deprived of the greatest pŀėȧsurė of them all after the Princess come to the school.
She stood on top of the table with her blue uniform and with the help of her two knights, the incredible and mysterious Henry, son of the Duke of Mills, a rumored mighty hero. Some say that Henry is the exact copy of the Duke and that scares me. Henry is mysterious and has this inquisitive look as if he was seeing through things and thoughts. I bet he inherited that from the Duke, his father… *gulp*
Then the other one is even more terrifying, I can even look at that knight's face as I will end up paralyzed like the others around. She is called Moira, a member of Princess Anne's first club, and an extraordinary beauty. If Princess Anne has the appearance of a lovely leader with her red hair floating around and her angel wings on her back with her big golden eyes shining and her lips smiling innocently and for the rightful purposes… sigh… Miss Moira is the exact opposite. Long black hair that seemed as soft as porcelain, always tied up in a ponytail without any strand in disorder. Her face was a bit pale but at the same time with delicate features, however, what was more astonishing about her were her beautiful red eyes that could hypnotize whoever dared to see her.
I can't believe that such beauties came to the Academy, and I can't believe that I have the fortune of sharing the same year with them.
Now we are going to demand the school in the name of the dessert bar in the cafeteria. We will ask to have the delicacies our stomachs deserve, wait, what?
"Let's go!"
"Yes!"
"For the croissants!"
"Yes!"
"For the chocolate cake!"
"Yes…"
"For the fruit tart!"
"Ye… s?"
"Don't give up your dreams so easily, this will be a hard fight but if we start with this little step towards the final door of our happiness, then we will go for bigger purposes later. Who is with me?! Say, me!"
"Me!"
"Say, Me!"
"Me!"
I will follow her forever… sigh… she smiles like an angel… sigh.
[End of Eliot's POV, an Academy's random student.]
Letter from the Principal to the Lith Kingdom.
[To the King and Queen of Lith,
Let me begin by expressing how honored I feel to have the most outstanding Princess of Lith attending our humble institution. No other girl of fourteen years old with red hair with such amazing ideas had walked in the steps of our school before.
Only her few writings and extensive thesis on economics and finance brought our teachers the greatest joy of them all. Though, they are all crying for the new light shown to them not because they are jealous, but motivated, not because they are jealous, not at all.
Anyway, this is not a complaint letter, as the rumors were saying, just a humble request to convince your daughter, Princess Anne to give some lessons to our students on economics and finance to elevate their minds to new heights, not because our teachers are occupied proving their thesis for the annual competition. We are in need of someone to pull the feet of our geniuses with some reality check… not because we want to teach those arrogant brats some humility.
Anyway, this is not a complaint letter, Julian, just a letter of how much I appreciate that you sent your little bomb, sorry, your beautiful daughter to our school. Maybe in the future, we can share the memories of having to deal with the cleaning after the trouble she left behind her ingenious ideas and laugh together… that is, if I don't get older and die by the time she graduates. And I hope she does graduate, I wish for it more than you can imagine… in fact, maybe she can skip some years, what about convincing her about that too?
Anyway, this is not a letter of complaint, but our humble school may need your ȧssistance in the future. I am not asking for much, just maybe a new clinic building, you see, we have a strange increase in the number of stomachaches because of some cakes prepared by Miss Moira. Somehow the boys can't stop eating, she must be excellent at that. I kind of want to taste one some other day.
As long as I want to continue writing about her great achievements these few days, I have to end the letter here, not because I am busy dealing with letters of complaints from concerned parents of our first-year students.
I hope you are well and wealthy as you may need a lot of return gifts in the future,
Adam Robinson, Duke of Neim.
P.s. see attached the receipt of the new pastry chef salary that we were obliged to hire, because of the revolt your dear daughter and our school treasure instigated on the very first day of school.]
"I knew it!"
The King of Lith was prepared for this… in fact, everyone was prepared for the first letter to come from the Academy because of the incredible achievements of their Princess.
They even welcomed the Academy's messenger at the entrance of the Capital. They received him as a national hero and the King even shook his hand.
However, when he finally stopped reading the letter, the people only had their heads down not daring to look up, but the shaking shoulders and their hands covering their mouths would be the first training for the future to come.
