The Queen Wicked Deeds

Chapter 65 - Shamelessness Ranking.

Time for some Interviews and anecdotes.

Interview to the Duke of Mills.

"So, when did you meet for the first time your wife, Your Highness, Duke of Mills?"

"I don't know, honestly."

"How is that, Your Highness?"

"We didn't meet in the Academy like many others, but in a different way, in the most unexpected and strange way I could ever imagine."

"Can you tell us about that?"

"It would be my pŀėȧsurė, though, she will deny many of my words, but I can swear they are true."

The story of love of the Duke of Mills, the silly Duke of Mills, didn't start like a school romance, nor a childhood romance. It all began with a tragedy, a war, and an unexpected encounter.

Marion, that was the name of the most beautiful woman from the tribes on the north. She was respected because of her strange talent in medicine and strong skill with the sword. How can that beautiful legend land in the hands of that silly Duke of Mills? That is something we want to discover.

"And she was truly beautiful, she is still… so much more with every day."

Some say the tribes from the north were wild and uncivilized but many contradict those sayings, though, some of them faced unexpected ends. The soldiers that met the people of those towns returned to the Capital with thoughts of going back. Most may say that the lack of advanced technology, wide markets, magic spells, progress in medicine, and complicated politics made those towns insignificant and ignorant.

However, the ones that noticed how was the simple life in those little towns could reach the same conclusion, that many times the simple life can bring more happiness and stability than those in big cities, within the castles, mansions, and behind towering walls in any great Capital.

"I wanted to see if that was true; if those sayings about the simple life of the north were true. I was young and naive, and bored. However, I never thought that the same year I traveled, a hideous war would erupt."

The Great war of the North. That was what the soldiers called it, most of the ones that returned from those lands came with closed mouths, closed eyes, and closed hearts. Yes, there were many deads, there were countless injured, and also, there were the ones that came alive as heroes.

"I didn't want to come back," the Duke of Mills sighed and smiled, "I didn't want to come back without her, I even thought about staying with her in her town, but..."

The many towns that were left in shatters; decimated to the ashes were countless.

Well, those years would never be forgotten, the records about the many corpses of soldiers from Lith could not compare to the ones from those simple towns. Now the empty cities of the north carry the ghosts of those souls.

The dread and the pain are a constant reminder of what a stupid rumor can start.

"The day I went to the north, I stayed in a village called Rein, people with strange looks, they were used to the extreme cold and the extreme hunger. So, a young boy like me that liked to see the world without much thought, well, I was dying of hunger… sigh… my stomach ġrȯȧnėd for many days until one day a beautiful woman, the most beautiful sunshine, the queen of fairies and the owner of my heart, that woman came to my side and gave me a piece of bread."

The young Duke of Mills fell in love at that moment, it was at first sight and at first bread. He didn't know that the woman with blond hair and magnificent red eyes will be the one who gave him the first love, the first warmth, and the first pain.

"Yes," the man with shiny emerald eyes smiled and laughed, "she did game me so much pain, sigh… well, I was a boy without any love experience and infatuated with the most beautiful angel, the Queen of my heart and the daylight of my life, yes… sigh… the moment I thanked her for my piece of breath, I stood up and kissed her."

The idiot Duke of Mills didn't know that such a bold act to a woman from the tribe of Rein meant an eternal bond. She will have to marry him no matter what. He didn't know, right?

"Of course I didn't know, how could I know? I was a young boy without any experience in love," at this moment the Duke of Mills is not looking at the interviewer. "What are you writing? Hey, let me see!"

Note that the Duke of Mills is becoming violent to the interviewer.

"Hey! Stop writing!"

Note to a violation of the freedom to express myself!

"Hey!"

After a few seconds and after an exclusive picture of the Prime Minister going crazy in the last festival event, the Duke of Mills stopped his stupid crazy banter to try to take the writing machine I am using to write.

"Can you stop?"

"Then, what did she do?"

"She kicked me, then punched my face, slapped me, pulled my hair, and bit my arm. I felt so much pain that time but… hehehehehe… she was mine!"

Shameless!

"Hey! What are you writing? Let me see!"

"No!"

"You!"

After another minute where a picture of the King watching Master Gandalf trying to catch his own tail while giggling, landed in the shameless man, then the Duke of Mills calmed down.

"How did you convince a beautiful lady like the Duchess to stay with you?"

"My natural charm, of course."

"…"

We shall do a ranking on who is the most shameless character so far. If any of you have someone in mind please drop your suggestions in this paragraph. I vote for the silly Duke of Mills as the first choice.

"Hey! What are you writing?! Are you ranking me?"

"First place."

"Good," he smiled.

How shameless. He doesn't even know in which category he is, and he is claiming first place without restraint.

"Hey!"

"Then… how did you manage to convince the Duchess to accept you, Duke of Mills? I shall say that your wife will receive a copy of this paper, so you shall tell us the truth!"

"What?" he looked anxious, "we never agreed on that! You can't give her this interview! Over my dead body."

The Duke of Mills is becoming violent again. I shall go first, or I won't manage to publish the rest of the story. Goodbye, dear readers.

Interview to Prime Minister Prim.

"So, when did you meet for the first time your wife, Prime Minister Prim?"

"I was ambushed viciously by a group of…"

"Bandits?"

"Yes, vicious bandits, robbers, and mercenaries. I was traveling with a group of Ministers to the annual Spring Festival."

"Then… what happened?"

He looked around for help. We had to tie him up as he was about to escape to the Academy again and catch the couple on the act. Yes, the Crown Prince Ilian du Lith… sigh… the so-called, They Shy Prince, and his lovely bride, Rose Prim, the so-called, The Gentle Maiden.

He is looking at me menacingly. I am afraid for my safety, just to make sure that if anything happened to me after I go out of this interview or the next few days, then the main suspect should be the man with the title of Prime Minister.

"They will never know, they will never know."

"About what?"

"Hehe…" he is smiling dangerously. I am afraid.

"Mi… Minister Prim… we have permission from your wife, she is eager to know your answer to the question."

He is looking at me, and then he let go a helpless sigh. At least for now I can ȧssure you that I am not going to die by his hands or the hands of the man behind him. That knight Aiden.

"My wife… she rescued us that time…" the man sighed again as if remembering something embarrassing. He shall be, maybe he screamed with a high-pitched voice and played the role of a fragile damsel in danger.

"She was a member of the knights of the Queen," he said with indifference, but there is a proud glint in his eyes. What a good man!

"The knights that were with her decimated the bandits, they imprisoned them and led them to the dungeons. Then she took me in her horse and led me to her house."

"Oh… were you injured, Prime Minister?"

Why on earth will she take him to her house if he wasn't injured? It should be a matter of urgency.

"No."

"…"

"I was in perfect condition. I am a magician, of course, how can any of those little bandits from the town harm me."

"Then…" this doesn't make any sense.

"She kidnapped me and forced me to marry her."

I change my ranking on who is the most shameless one. First place the Duchess of Prim.
