The Queen Wicked Deeds
Chapter 69 - Find the Spy (Part 4)
[Continuation of Anne's version.]
That time we were young and naive, my dear bride. Although you had your knights, the secret knights of the hidden Mill's guard at your service, still that Thomas was just too cunning.
And he hadn't stopped, he had been doing the same things over and over, year after year, and I was about to go crazy. You know me, how can some little boy challenge me, the evilest princess of them all, into a battle of evilness?
I just couldn't believe it.
First, he went and planted some spies into the kitchen of Moira, why would he do that? I knew that the cure for happiness was tempting but why in the kitchen of Moira. Sigh… Callum had to make them blow with a little pyrotechnics show.
Hehehe… that was so funny, even that wizard added to the show a small part of his magic. Now that I think about it, he was enjoying it too much, I wonder why. Is he going to the dark side too?
Okay, I will stop deviating from the confession time, but don't be mad at me, my dear. I did everything for a good reason, maybe a little evil reason but never to harm you, the others... maybe. That James brought it on his own, though. Hopefully, Moira doesn't go that far with Collin, or I will have to hide that idiot golden fish for a while.
"…"
What? Didn't you know?
Come on, my dear, you should have noticed it before, right?
There were many signals, clear signals all over the years.
First, he came that year with the arrogant request to be me the one to guide him around the Palace grounds. Why? Well, he knew it was perfectly fine for a cousin to meet another cousin.
Second, he dared to diss you, to not show any sympathy or respect for any of my friends. Of course, he wanted me to speak alone with him.
Third, what about that thing of not training as a knight but hinting that the north needed soldiers and the teachings of Master Ives. You should have seen his eyes that sparkled with enthusiasm every time he saw the knights. It was obvious that he wanted to train, but someone was trying to hinder his progress.
Then, the fear, my darling, the fear to see Callum and Moira in the Palace, that made him so frightened but at the same time, safe. He knew that something was moving in the shadows and the presence of those two red-eyed would bring a disadvantage to those hiding in the dark. So… he gave me hints for many years now.
Well… and that is what happened… Oh my, we have to go. The bell is ringing.

The Princess of Lith, the most outstanding girl of Lith managed to escape the confession, but Henry didn't need anything more as he was sure of what happened that time.
*Five hours before the main event (The Queen's birthday party) Refer to chapter 26.
"Speak!"
The knights from the Mills Dukedom had captured two men in black clothes and black masks sneaking inside the castle.
"We will never speak!"
"We are loyal to the North!"
They had a circle tattoed in their hands and were about to recite some spell when a certain wizard Druon paralyzed their mouths. He had arrived on top of his cloud and smiled with a strange crazy laughter that it could be as evil as any evil little princess of the world.
"Muahahaha, do you think you can get away with it?"
The two guards were now trembling with fear embedded in their eyes.
"Do you think I don't have a way to make you speak?"
With one movement of his hands, he erased the circle on those men's skin. They struggled, but who can get away from the enchantment of that man? Just when he is showing that smile, that crazy smile, but more than anything, and what was more terrifying than any strange expression on his face, was the blue eyes that changed colors to a bright bloody red.
"Now, you see it," he smiled, "this is why you should talk or… I will start to play… with your bodies..."
He threw a potion to one of Henry's men. "Make them drink it, it is the cure for sadness."
He smiled again and winked at those guys that were about to faint from terror. "This will make you so happy, so insanely happy that you will never stop laughing… never."
His eyes glinted with a crazy delight and the two men with black masks shook their heads to one side to another.
"Are you going to talk, now?"
Henry stepped bit by bit towards the guards while opening the bottle. His little hands were making small gestures to open the bottle to pour the potion into those men's mouths. Their faces paled with every step the little boy walked towards them.
"Then…?"
One of the men nodded and nodded stronger, the other one followed.
"Okay, then…" the crazy wizard took the enchantment and the guard on the right whispered something.
"The… the light from Duke Jinton… the light from Duke Jinton is a… a…" he smiled with a malicious grin, "you won't ever stop it…"
Then the other man bite something in his mouth and the two men grew intensely red and their hearts stopped beating. Wizard Druon narrowed his red eyes to the two men and saw a black liquid coming from their mouths.
"Poison…" he whispered and approached the bodies to take a sample from their mouths. "Tell that evildoer what the two of them told us… we need to find that light…"
Henry nodded and signaled his men.
****
That same day…
"Why do you need this strange light?"
The small princess was playing with the little sphere in her hands while Mellie just watched her with amusement. He couldn't speak, but his eyes showed a happy expression.
Then he told the little princess to place the light on the new tower building. There was no one inside and no one in about ten meters near it.
"What are you doing Mellie?"
The little girl came walking to the side of the said little demon and waited for him to answer, or write something. She couldn't guess what was that thing. Vin couldn't figure it out too, so she shoved the thing to the little demon.
The fluffy thing only made her walk towards the new building, and shove the light inside.
Then after she sat on the chair next to him, he gave her a cookie.
"Chocolate?"
He nodded.
"Great!"
Then as per magic, he made a big magical barrier around the tower and tapped in the chair as if counting. After ten taps, the tower exploded with a big blue light, then a magnificent fire engulfed everything. If not for the barrier, Mellie had created, then the explosion would have reached a bigger extension, maybe the whole palace.
Anne widened her eyes and looked at Mellie with a stunned expression, even the cookie that she was still eating was left aside, that was how gravely the situation appeared. Then she narrowed her eyes to the blue fire.
Not many knew about the blue fire, but she was very familiar with it, the records of the family, the royal family had a mention of someone witnessing such an event. However, everyone dismissed it as a mere illusion from a person in shock, a trauma, except from one. Detective Jason Thorne.
He believed his wife, he believed her words even though many dismissed them as foolishness. The blue fire was a myth, a powerful and evil myth. Only the ones with the power to possess the blue fire were the dark mages of the ancient era. And only them could control it, so if any were to mention that fire, then it would be impossible, as it was only a myth. However, a woman, the maid of Elisa Hesse, daughter of the most loyal General of the King, dared to mention to have seen int once, during the explosion that almost ended her life if not for her mistress.
"Muahahaha!"
She narrowed her eyes and with a flick of her hands, Callum and Moira appeared behind her with the little red-haired Victor behind them. Then Henry also walked from the woods on her back, and behind Tia appeared with Ilian and James holding Rose's little hand. Wizard Druon came forward too, with a small smile on his face, though, it was nothing from a happy smile, more like an evil grin. Vin looked at him and towards the tower in flames. His hands were fisted in fury.
"My friends, oh, my dear friends," Anne began her speech, "it is time for revenge."
