"I am bored," Anne said to Vin when he passed her schedule for the Academy's lessons, after all, he was the head of the magical devices' division. "Shouldn't you be preparing a big wedding with a reception and all?"

"That was only a lie, it is all fake," Vin sighed when he heard the bored voice of the Princess trying to mock him for a while, "I don't understand where did they get the idea of me dating a Princess of Dulein, what utter lie."​​

"…" Anne looked at the woman with beautiful yellow eyes and long blonde hair. She was almost the most beautiful woman she had ever seen. Her cute little face with a pointy nose and rosy lips, even those long buŧŧerfly eyelashes that fluttered with gentleness every time they saw Assistant Vin, and the shy expression she will make at times. All of that and the dense man hadn't noticed.

The woman was screaming the word Princess of Dulein everywhere. Her face was impressive, her figure was compared to an hourglass and her smart mind gave her the position of his ȧssistant when she could be ruling a country, the most wealthy country of the continent.

Anne could only shake her head from one side to another in helplessness. She sometimes thought that the man she considered a brilliant human and the next King of the business world, was a big emotional strain.

How can he not notice the beautiful woman on the side? How can he be so oblivious to her charms? That woman was perfect in every sense, and she had overlooked the fact that Assistant Vin was once a subordinate of that idiot wizard to go work with him.

"Assistant Kira," Anne said as she raised from the desk, "I will help you without any charge, the man is a hard nutshell that we will break bit by bit… sigh…"

"What are you talking about?" Assistant Vin heard the comment and frowned, "Miss Dulein, are you in any kind of trouble? Why didn't you mention anything?"

"…" Anne shook her head, but then a glimmer of light came to her eyes, "will you truly help us? Even if this is a matter of love and romance? Can I have your word?"

"Yes, if I can ȧssist you in anything, please be sure to notify me."

Assistant Vin arranged his glasses and looked at the two girls with a serious and direct expression. However, he will never know that those words will be the seal to his fate and the sail to his romantic life.

"Then…" Anne took a paper from the desk and started writing. "Miss Dulein is in a dire situation, Assistant Vin, she is forced to marry some man that she isn't fond of…"

She kept writing with a little smirk on her face. However, the face of Assistant Vin went pale the second the shameless princess mentioned the word marry and forced and Miss Dulein. He didn't know why, but he felt truly scared from what those words could imply.

"Then… Miss Dulein, are you going to marry someone?"

"I… my father," the cute and shy ȧssistant didn't know what to say. She was indeed engaged, and she had a fiancée already but her dear father, the King, promised her that he will respect her decision on who will be her partner. Also, he will test that same partner on his skills and abilities to be the next King of Dulein and the one to lead the country together with her.

"You can speak your mind, Miss Dulein," Assistant Vin moved towards the young woman with amazing looks. "Are you going to marry?"

Miss Dulein looked at Anne and the youngster nodded with a glint in the eye. "Ye… yes," she answered.

The eyes of Assistant Vin widened and his breath almost stopped.

"I am being forced… to marry some other man."

The words almost came as shameless as the little girl with red hair and bright golden eyes.

"Then… will you help for that not to happen, Assistant Vin?"

Anne didn't need to ask as in Vin's heart, the answer was already taken.

"I will, what do I have to do?"

"Sign this and act."

"What?"

Vin looked at the document that was already sealed with the ring of the Princess of Lith. That was how she was made the witness of the contract and that it was unbreakable.

"What is this? A Contractual Marriage?"

"Yes, that way, you will shoot two birds with the same stone," she smiled and started pacing around the office. "You will marry Miss Dulein, and she will send notice to her father, so she will break the marriage agreement with her supposed fiancée, and you will shut down the strange rumors about you and your fiancée at the same time. Then when the time had passed… you can break the engagement alluding that you didn't pass the test of her father."

"Which test?" Assistant Vin asked while looking at the agreement and trying not to look that interested.

"Are you interested?" Anne said with a smirk on her face.

"I do."

Miss Dulein's heart almost skipped a beat.

"This is for Miss Dulein's sake after all, what if I pass the test without knowing," he said that, but he didn't manage to see the eyes of the beautiful woman tearing a bit.

"Don't worry, you won't pass the test," Anne said as a matter of fact, but she spied on the face of her dummy ȧssistant for his reaction.

"Why are you so sure, Princess?" He looked a bit pissed off, not only for the obvious underestimation of his abilities and talent but because of something he didn't know… a painful punch in his heart.

"Because it is love," Anne said with a cheeky smile, "the test is if you truly love Miss Dulein, you will have to prove it and her father will be the one to ȧssess that. If you can't pass the test, Miss Dulein will be free to do and chose whoever she is in love with… Miss Dulein, are you in love with someone?"

"I…" the shy maiden didn't know what to answer, as she was indeed in love with someone, and not anyone but a man that didn't know about her affection even after a year working with her. "I… I do… but…"

"But…?" Assistant Vin widened his eyes. A few seconds ago, when she answered, he felt a painful pang in his heart. He didn't imagine that the woman that had been by his side for so many days, the one that was always with him every day working diligently and even smiling at him… that woman would have someone already, and he didn't notice.

"But… he doesn't know, or most likely he doesn't have a feeling for me…" her voice almost shattered right then. Even some tears started dropping filling her cheeks. "He doesn't want me, not even now."

The time they went around in Dulein, many had thought they were a couple, but he kept denying it vehemently. Not minding her painful heart and her embarrassed face.

"That…" Assistant Vin wanted to see the man capable of making the beautiful woman fell so deep for him and then punch him in the face.

"There… there is no need for the contract," Miss Dulein said after making up her mind, "I will marry whoever my father said… I will follow his plan…"

"No!"

Assistant Vin took her into his arms. "I will help you, you don't have to bind yourself like this. And… And… I…"

Miss Dulein looked up with her cute eyes blinking as Assistant Vin kept mumbling incoherent words.

"What… what about you?"

"I can't let my subordinate be subjected to such outrageous destiny… I will help you came out from that marriage and I will give you time to find your true partner… and if… if…"

"What if she doesn't find any partner?" Anne said with her cute tone but at the same time with an eager tone for the man to jump right on her trap.

"I will go through the tests… and I will stay with you forever," he said to the woman that now was widening her eyes into the same size as the moon.

"Excellent!" Anne said with a clap, "now let's sign the contract, it will be for a year until the father of Miss Dulein set the test."

"A year?" Miss Dulein widened her eyes. "I should ask for father's permission before I can marry anyone."

"Please, don't worry about that, Miss Dulein," Princess Anne smiled again and that moment the two Assistant knew that she was scheming something or more like the unexpected laugh: "Muahahahah!" gave her out. "I have everything covered. Now, please sign the document."
