The Revenge Turned To Love
Chapter 124 - Father!
Jackson reached Yuwan's home and saw Yuwan was hugging his father's body while Xia was crying standing beside him. "Yuwan," whispered Jackson and went closer to him.
Xia looked at him and then lowered her eyes. Jackson patted at Yuwan's shoulder. "Why didn't you tell me that time has been over for dad?" Asked Yuwan with tears in his eyes.
"I was tied with a promise. I called you but your father picked up the call. He told me not to tell you. Forgive me," murmured Jackson and got teary eyed. Mishi and Xian also reached there.
Seeing Yuwan's father's soulless body, Mishi stumbled in step but Xian held her by the shoulders. She started crying. "Yuwan," murmured Mishi and walked to him. Yuwan got up and hugged her tightly.
"Dad didn't let me know. How can I be so irresponsible. He's gone. I didn't make his last wish true," stammered Yuwan in his voice. Tears fell from Xian's eyes too but he wiped them off.
Sobbing Yuwan released Mishi and told her, "you were also saying right. I should've married someone. At least my dad would be there." His loud cries clenched everyone's hearts there. Yuwan put his palms on his eyes..
"Dad, please wake up," murmured Yuwan. "Dad, please." Yuwan's pleading words wouldn't revive the soul. "Yuwan, he won't come back. Let's do his last rites." Jackson stated. Mark, Lan Zhan and Lau Lan also reached there.
"Why didn't you make the full efforts? You're a doctor. I trusted my dad with you. You should revive him now. Doctors can do anything." Yuwan started saying the things which were impossible.
Jackson held Yuwan's face and said, "you know better than me. You were a doctor too. We don't always succeed. Bury him by your mother's side and then fulfill the wishes he told you. This would be best to make his soul rest in peace."
Yuwan looked around and didn't find Xia there. He walked out of the room and went upstairs to her room. She was in her room, crying sitting at the left corner. Yuwan went to her and bent down on his knees.
Yuwan caressed her back. "Uncle left us. We are alone," murmured Xia while sobbing and grabbed Yuwan's shirt tightly. She rested her forehead on Yuwan's shoulder, while Yuwan patted on her back. "When I was a kid, my uncle always came here when I used to feel sad but he won't anymore."
"Let's bury him, beside my mother's body. Let's go," said Yuwan in a plain voice and made Xia stand up. The both came downstairs. Qiang, Chang and Chunhua also reached there. Chunhua went to Yuwan and hugged him. "Brother," and started crying.
He caressed her head and said, "I can't save my own father." The entire atmosphere was tensed up. Xian spoke, "the van has arrived. Yuwan, let's go."

After burying his father in the graveyard beside his mother, Yuwan sat there. He told everyone to go home. No one wanted to but Yoon his insistence everyone left from there. Xia also sat beside Yuwan. "I'm feeling pathetic. It's like a void has been created inside me. Now I can truly understand what it feels like without any parent," murmured Yuwan.
"We have planned so many things for him. We also planned a trip where we were going with him next week but," Xia broke down in tears. Yuwan put his arm around her shoulder.
"I should've listened to him. When the person is gone we only have desires left with him. The time we spent with him seemed short but this bitter truth is hard to swallow. Let's do the things he wished for. That's the only thing we can do for him.
Mother must be happy today as they both have met after such a long time. She must be seeing us. Dad once told me not to cry in front of her. She had a very delicate, soft heart." Murmured Yuwan and wiped off his tears.
They both sat there for a while when the dark night was filled with dark clouds and rain started pouring down. Yuwan held Xia's hand and they left from there.
In the home, they sat on the couch in the living room. Xia placed her head on Yuwan's shoulder.

Mishi was in her house and refused to eat anything. Chang didn't force her as he knew her sister won't eat anything. Yaixi told Xian to be with Mishi in this hard time. Xian nodded and went to her room.
Mishi didn't close her room so he walked inside and sat beside her on the bed. He gently grabbed her one hand when Mishi started speaking. "When I thought everything was finished in my life, I met with uncle Xiu. He treated me like his own daughter. I had made a special bond with him."
"I can empathise with you. It's really hard when you lose any of your parents. It's really tough. But then we have to go on with life. This is the truth," said Xian and wiped off the tears formed in his eyes.
"Yuwan must be feeling alone. I should be there," murmured Mishi.
"Xia is there. She understands him better than you. Moreover, Yuwan won't be in a condition to speak to anyone. Tomorrow we can go there," stated Xian and caressed Mishi's shoulder.
"How can you be so calm?," asked Mishi.
"I have to, else who will look after you," whispered Xian. Mishi looked into his eyes. "Xian, I never asked but I should know everything about you. I hope you won't feel defended," Mishi said and asked permission from Xian.
"You don't have to ask for my permission, just speak." Muttered Xian.
"Your father," whispered Mishi and didn't speak further. Taking a deep breath she was almost going to speak when Xian said, "he left us a long ago for some other woman."
Mishi for a few seconds stared at Xian and then getting together herself she said, "it must be difficult for mom that time."
"Hmm, I was 6 years old that time. Mom did a lot of hard work to give me every possible thing. Then she adopted Mark when I became 7 years old. But he is my real brother," whispered Xian with a smile.
Mishi was studying Xian's eyes which were red but he was holding his tears back. "Don't stare at me," murmured Xian with a smile.
"Why do you hide so many things? I'm your soon to be wife. At least tell me everything. We promised to share each other's pain and happiness," stated Mishi.
Xian hugged her tightly and put his chin on her shoulder while Mishi was gently caressing his back. "I don't like to talk about him. It's a painful memory which I want to forget," murmured Xian.
"Then tell me. I can help you," said Mishi in a low voice.
"He had an affair with some rich woman. We used to be poor, not that rich. I was very sick that day. Mom was calling him every now and then but he didn't answer a single call of mother.
In the rain my mother carried me on the back and we reached hospital. The doctor almost lost his hopes on me as my typhoid worsened. But my father didn't even come to look at me once. I was on a ventilator for two weeks but he never visited me.
After a month when I was fully recovered, he came home stating he needed a divorce. I was young so I wasn't able to do anything." Xian's voice broke and he stopped speaking further.
The tears were flowing from Mishi's eyes, some of which fell on Xian's hand. He leaned back and smiled. "I should cry at this time. Why are you crying?," asked Xian with a smile.
Mishi shook her head and lowered her eyes. "You must have felt lonely. As a child you suffered a lot and then I did wrong to you," murmured Mishi and put her palms on her face.
"You didn't do anything. Don't cry. I shouldn't have told you this. Uncle will kill me and your brothers too if they will see that I made you cry," said Xian.
Mishi put her hands down and hugged him tightly. "Xian, you're really a great person. I love you a lot. You are not alone. I'm always standing by your side. I won't leave you because I won't be able to survive without you."
Xian caressed Mishi's head and kissed it lovingly. "I won't let you go. We talked a lot about fathers today. Don't you wanna eat something?," asked Xian.
"No, I don't want to. Let's sleep," murmured Mishi. "I want to hold you while sleeping."
"Ah okay! Let's sleep then….It's past midnight," said Xian. Unbuttoning his shirt's first two buttons he slept beside her, switching off the lights. Mishi went closer to him and put her hand around his waist. After awhile she fell asleep but Xian's brain was filled with that memory of his father which didn't let him sleep.
