The Revenge Turned To Love

Zhao Bin and Zhu Rui were in the car on the highway when he increased the speed, thus overtook the cars. Zhu Rui looked at him and told him to slow down but Zhao did not stop. Instead, he increased the speed further. "Zhao, what are you doing? We can get hurt at this rate," said Zhu Rui, looking at him.

"Let's get hurt then," asserted Zhao and kept driving at that speed. Zhu Rui held the handle over her seat tightly as she got scared what if they would hit something. Her eyes were closed in fear when after some time, Zhao Bin slowed down. Zhu Rui gradually opened her eyes and found they were out of the highway. She released her grip from the handle and then looked at Zhao who was crying. Zhu Rui's heart ached to see that. "Stop the car," she said. 

"I cannot," said Zhao. Tears were rolling down his cheeks but his expressions were constant. "Stop the car, Zhao, right away," said Zhu Rui in a threatening tone. Zhao slowed down the car and then parked it at the sideways. Zhu Rui turned to look at him and asked, "Why are you crying?"

"I do not know," answered Zhao. Zhu Rui took the handkerchief out from her purse and wiped the tears off his cheeks. "I do not want my fiancée to cry," Zhu Rui stated.

"Then break this marriage," said Zhao Bin and turned his eyes to meet hers. 

"I cannot do that either," stated Zhu Rui and put down her hand. Zhao sighed heavily and then slightly laughed. "You want me to die in this marriage?" Zhao asked.

"No," asserted Zhu Rui, staring at him. "I want you to be happy," said Zhu Rui with a smile. 

"Huh? Happy? I can never be happy. I will never be happy with you," muttered Zhao Bin and averted his gaze from her. Zhu Rui felt bad hearing that but she did not let show her that on her face. She was confident that one day Zhao would see through her love for him. "Let's go home. They must be waiting for us," said Rui in a low voice. In 15 minutes, they were home where they saw everyone was busy in the wedding preparation.

Seeing the two reached the house, Chynaa and Mrs. Feng told them to freshen up quickly and come downstairs. "Zhu, go to Zhao's room. I have prepared everything there. You can freshen up there. Zhao, take her," said Chynaa. Zhao nodded and went upstairs. Rui followed him. As she got in, Zhao pulled her and then closed the door behind him.

"What are you doing?" Zhu Rui asked.

"I want to show you why I cannot love you," said Zhao and then wrapped his hand around her neck. He kissed her but the kiss was without any emotion. They both were looking into each other's eyes. Zhu's eyes only carried a love for him but Zhao's eyes had hatred towards her. Zhu Rui placed her hands on his shoulder and pushed him away. 

"Stop! You are doing wrong," said Zhu Rui and wiped her lips from the back of her palm. Zhao laughed hearing her reason. "How am I wrong?" he asked after stopped laughing. "This is the first way to tell you that I do not love you. Should I tell more why I hate you?" Zhao asked for her permission. 

"Because you were the one who told my father everything. You told my father about Mishi and me. That time I should be with her but dad used to call me home without any reason. I thought I was hiding things nicely from dad but no, I was wrong. 

There was someone who never wanted my happiness. That was you. Four years were not enough for me because at that time she was struggling with her life. She wanted to give the best life for her siblings and I wanted to be a part of that world. But you destroyed my desires. Now, I will destroy your desires. Let's have a great married life, Zhu Rui," asserted Zhao and walked inside the washroom. 

Zhu Rui stumbled back and her back hit against the door. Tears poured down her eyes as she recalled the time when she got to know that Zhao had left the house. "What? No one could able to find Zhao?" Zhu Rui mumbled, looking at Lee Shan Bin. That day she came to their house to invite them to the house party her father has organized. 

"Do you know anything about him?" Lee Shan Bin asked Zhu Rui who refused. 

"His mother is sick for several days. I do not know where this boy has gone to? He never showed such behavior. What is going on with him?" Lee Shan murmured and rubbed off his eyes. When she came out of the house, she checked her phone and looked at Mishi's number.

"Is he with her?" thought Zhu Rui. She shook her head and said, "Why would Zhao leave his parents behind to be with her? He used to like him in college time but now there is no meaning of him to be with her," she said to herself. A year passed like this and she came back from the States when her college gave her a few weeks off. She was doing some shopping in the mall when she happened to see Zhao with two kids.

"Zhao? What is wrong with his clothes?" Zhu Rui murmured and walked towards him. "Who are those two kids? When did he – No, No, those are not his," she further spoke when she saw Mishi who came running from the other side. "Sorry, Sorry I got late. There was so much rush in the restaurant. Chang- Chunhua, let's go then to shop for you," said Mishi and grabbed their hands. Zhao was smiling with them when Chunhua told Zhao that she wanted that dress.

"How could he leave behind his parents and stay with her?" mumbled Zhu Rui. She started watching Zhao's actions and found that he was working in the safe cafe where was Mishi working. Apart from that, he had other part time jobs too. But in that process she also found, Mishi never took money from him. She did not want him to take her responsibility. But the only thing that worried her was Zhao's condition. He found that he was living in a shabby place with hardly having two-time meals. She sent him the meal saying his boss had sent that.

"What? He is going to propose to her today?" Zhu Rui asked the personal investigator she had hired. She picked her wallet and car keys thus left for the park where he decided that. As she reached the park she saw he was so happy with them. She stopped at her place and continued observing him.

When the kids left with a woman whom Zhao told them as his mother she found that Zhao was going to propose to Mishi. "This is too much. I will not let you have a life with her," muttered Zhu Rui and turned back when she happened to hear a woman who was none other than Biyu, Xian's mother.

"Look at the couple there. They look so beautiful together," said Biyu softly. She turned to look and was startled to see that Zhao kissed her. "Zhao, sorry but Mishi is not the one made for you," thought Zhu Rui and left the park. Reminiscing the past, she sat down on the floor and closed her eyes. Wiping her tears off her eyes, she said, "I have waited for this day for 9 whole years. Even if you will hate me even then I am not going to leave you. I will stay beside you as I love you more than anything in this world" She had a determined face while saying those lines.

Zhao came outside the washroom and found Zhu Rui on the floor. He had his clothes on and told Zhu Rui to go in. Zhu Rui got up from the floor, picked the clothes and towel which were on the bed. She walked towards the washroom when Zhao said, "there is still time. You can stop this marriage else you will regret it all your life. You can find a man for yourself who will love you and cherish you."

"The only person whom I want to cherish me is you. If I will leave you at this point in life then you will never be able to be happy. I want to love you because you were never being loved by anyone," saying this Zhu Rui walked inside the washroom. 

"But you do not deserve to destroy your life because of me. My heart still belongs to someone else. Even if I lie to people that I have given up on r her but my heart is not able to lie to me. The four years of memories with her are enough for me to stay alone. I wish I could stop this marriage." Zhao thought and sat on the bed.
