The Revenge Turned To Love

"Zhu, you should sit," Zhao stated. Zhu Rui got seated on the couch beside Zhao.

"Zhao, everywhere it is shown on the TV that your father is a Mafia and murdered many innocents. Now, you have resigned from the Bliss so, I think you should do one important thing as will. We have seen your misbehavior towards Zhu Rui even before marriage but we never once said anything because"

Zhu Rui stopped her father. "Please dad, don't say anything against Zhao" when she felt Zhao's hand over hers. She looked at him and found he was stopping her. "Please continue, father-in- law," Zhao announced.

"Because of your father I never once said anything because he was my friend but not anymore. I want you to free my daughter from this marriage. Divorce her. I do not want her to spend her life with a penniless guy and above that whose father was involved in so many crimes," Zhu Rui's father pronounced.

Zhao had expected things like this already. He knew that his life was going to be affected as soon as these things will be out and the very first thing was that he has to divorce Zhu Rui. 

"Dad," Zhu Rui shouted at her father and started crying. She turned her eyes to Zhao and grabbed his both hands. "I won't leave you. I won't divorce you. I love you, Zhao," Zhu Rui said with pleading eyes.

"Zhao, I have brought the lawyer here with papers. Just give your signs on it and free my daughter with this relationship. I do not want her life to get destroyed this early," Zhu Rui's father pronounced.

"Father, stop this. You have no right to do this to us. You can't come in between my married life," Zhu Rui proclaimed and then looked at Zhao who was not speaking anything.

"Zhao, do not listen to them. You have given me a month to prove and I will." Zhao looked into Zhu's eyes. "I have never liked this woman. Keeping her beside me will only be a problem. She has no right to suffer along with me. Letting her go will be the best option but-" Zhao's gaze became more intense on Zhu Rui's.

"But yesterday when she told me that she did not marry me for my wealth but for my love, I felt something different. She always looked at me in whatever state I was… my heart for the first time fluttered. For the first time, I felt that there is someone who love me dearly." His eyes were turning teary so he averted his gaze from her.

"Zhu, have you lost your mind? Come to us. You will not stay with him any longer," Zhao heard Zhu Rui's mother saying that while at the same time he heard the sobs of Zhu Rui.

"Mr. Yamin, please give the papers to Zhao," Zhu Rui's father voiced in a commanding tone. Zhu Rui got up from the couch and told them to stop but her mother grabbed her arm, making her sit beside herself. Zhao saw how Zhu Rui's parents were shouting at her and for unknown reason it hurt him.

"This woman should leave me. She has no right to suffer with me. I will divorce her," Zhao thought and then finally spoke.

"Forgive me for making the situations like this. Please give me the divorce papers. I will sign them," Zhao declared. Zhu Rui could not believe her eyes. 

"Zhao," Zhu Rui whispered his name. 

The lawyer forwarded the papers to Zhao who grabbed them. He read the papers. "I have earned some money from my own hard work so, I would like to give that as an alimony money to Zhu Rui," Zhao stated. 

"It is fine. You do not need to give her the money. Just free her from this relationship," Zhu Rui heard her father saying this to Zhao whose eyes were unreadable to her. 

"Zhao, don't," Zhu Rui said softly. Zhao looked at her and a tiny smile carved on her lips. "You know that I don't love you as a woman and never will. This thing should have happened way earlier. But it is not too late. Let's free each other from this unwanted relationship," Zhao pronounced. 

"Mr. Long, hand me the pen, please," Zhao said when the lawyer gave him the pen. 

Zhao almost signed on the papers when Zhu Rui said, "You promised me that for a month you will bear me, you will consider me as a woman and you would like to see how you make you fall for me. You cannot back off from your promise." She was pleading him to stop but Zhao did not listen to her. 

"Zhu, you can never win my heart," Zhao proclaimed and quickly signed on the papers. He the forwarded the papers towards the lawyer when to his surprise Zhu Rui snatched those papers.

"I can win your heart," Zhu Rui declared with a confident look in her eyes. Before Zhao could say anything to her, she tore the papers into pieces. "Try giving me divorce and I will kill myself," Zhu Rui pronounced, glaring at Zhu Rui and then at her parents. 

"Who told you to decide for my life? Am I a minor to you? No, right? I am an adult who knows her better. If you two ever come up with such a thing then I am going to kill myself. You know that I love him and it doesn't matter to me who is father was." 

Zhao had never seen Zhu Rui this angry. Indeed she had lost her temper in her past but today was extreme. "Zhu, don't-" Zhu Rui cut Zhao's words in the middle. 

"I will kill you if you speak to me," saying this Zhu Rui left the living room in anger. Zhao lowered his eyes and clasped his fingers together. "I am not divorcing her. She is married to me so, it is now upto us how we both take this relationship. You all shall leave," Zhao muttered and bowed his head before leaving the living room.
