The Revenge Turned To Love

Zhao after having dinner went to the room and sat on the bed. He was checking his phone when Zhu Rui came there. Closing the door, she went near Zhao and asked him what he was doing.

"Looking for a job. I guess, I will work in the restaurant where I used to work earlier," Zhao asserted and put away the phone.

"I have also applied for a job. Let's see if I will make it or not," Zhu Rui muttered. She then sat beside him. "This is a single bed. We have to sleep really close," Zhu Rui said with a sheepish smile.

"So?" Zhao asked her as he moved a little bit away from her.

"So, you might jump at me in the night. Who knows your desires awaken in the mid of might seeing the beauty like me laying beside you," asserted Zhu Rui in a teasing tone.

Zhao chuckled. "But you do not excite me at all. Did I not tell you earlier that even if you get naked then also I won't feel anything because I do not see you as a woman," Zhao stated and gave a tiny smile to him.

"You do not have to be that rude. Guys were heads over heels for me when I was in the States. I was being asked out by many guys," Ru Shi proclaimed.

"But I do not come into the list of those guys," Zhao replied and laid down on the bed with his back towards Zhu Rui. Zhu Rui switched off the lamp and laid beside Zhao with her face towards his back. She put around his one arm around Zhao's upper body. "Hey, what are you doing?" Zhao asked.

"Hugging my husband while sleeping. It is not against the rules. You told me that I can do anything I want to so that your heart can flutter," pronounced Zhu Rui as her head rested against Zhao's back.

Zhao did not say anything and let her hug him. After an hour, Zhu Rui spoke,  "You are also not sleepy like me. Is it because we two are close to each other?" Zhu Rui asked him.

Zhao did not give any response when Zhu Rui lifted her head up to look if Zhao was asleep or not. To her surprise he was dozing off. A tiny smile appeared on Zhu Rui's lips and she leaned close to Zhao's cheek. "Kissing on lips is not allowed but you did not say anything about pecking," Zhu Rui murmured and leaned closer to Zhao's cheek.

Her eyes were closed and she was moving closer to his cheek when Zhao put his palm over her mouth. Zhu Rui opened her eyes. "What are you doing?" Zhao asked her and pushed her away. He had a sheepish smile on his lips.

"I was just pecking your cheek. You did not say anything about peck," asserted Zhu Rui.

"Any type of kiss is forbidden. Understand?" Zhao asked her with a raised brow and then got down the bed.

"Where are you going?" Zhu Rui asked as she sat on the bed.

"I will sleep on the floor," Zhao stated as she threw the pillow at the floor. Zhu Rui got worried hearing that.

"Don't sleep on the floor. You are sick. I promise I won't do anything," Zhu Rui proclaimed.

"I… d.o…n.o.t…t.r.u.s.t…y.o.u.r…h.i.d.d.e.n…d.e.s.i.r.e.s." Zhao stressed out every single word when Zhu Rui jumped down the bed and grabbed his both hands.

"That was only a peck. It isn't like I was taking your advantage. Why would I even do that? I read somewhere that if you peck your hubby at the cheek in the night before sleeping then your love gets stronger. I was trying that. But I won't do that from now on," Zhu Rui pronounced and peered into his eyes.

Zhao was smiling upon hearing Zhu Rui's excuse. "Where did you read such a ridiculous thing? Don't try to fool me," Zhao stated with a smile.

"It is not ridiculous. Let it be. Sleep on the bed as your fever has still not gone. I will not do any such thing anymore," she assured Zhao who agreed to that and slid into the blanket.

Zhu Rui took a breath of relief when Zhao said, "Your back must be towards my back."

"Okay," Zhu Rui replied as she went to the bed from the other side. In a while, she drifted off to sleep. Oppositely, Zhao was not able to get sleep. He turned towards Zhu Rui and saw she was sleeping soundly but her back was towards him. 

"So, you have started listening to me," Zhao whispered and put away the hair strands from over Zhu Rui's face. "I wanted to divorce because I did not want you to suffer with me. But I did not know you love me so much that you would tore those papers into pieces and would stand beside me, supporting me in front of your parents. If you are the woman made for me then, I will try my best to be a good husband to you and trust me I will be only yours," Zhao said. 

He then looked straight up at the ceiling and recalled his old days. "Those days have returned back again," he murmured but he was worried if someone would hire him or not because after his father's truth come upfront in front of everyone, media had even dragged out his name. 

He was scared if his old boss would hire him or not because this time he had not to take care of himself only but he had his wife and his uncle with him whom he had to take care of. Although they both were ready to fully support him but he wanted to things alone for them so, that those two would not suffer in any way. Thinking all this he drifted off to sleep.
