The rise of nanometers
Chapter 490 Stressor
Shanmei’s first scientific research area.
188 Nanorobotics Laboratory.
Huang Xiuyuan looked at the device in front of him and smiled. This was a super sonar device designed using bionics.
The sound sensor wrapped in the core of the machine is densely covered with a special kind of nanoparticles. The design of this nanoparticle is inspired by the stress hormone in the ear of living organisms.
The stress hormones in human ears are only weak in nature. Some animals can distinguish specific sound wave frequencies thousands of kilometers away. This is a miracle of natural creation.
In July last year, Huang Xiuyuan assigned Lu Xuedong a scientific research project to find super bionic technology from natural organisms.
This project, codenamed "Shunfeng Er", has undergone three generations of improvements and is now ready for preliminary application.
Gao Jue, the project leader, introduced to the two of them: "Chairman, Mr. Lu, for Shunfeng Er 1's artificial nano-stressor, we used a total of 5 kinds of animal stressor bionic structures."
On the computer nearby, five kinds of animals are displayed, namely elephants, bats, dolphins, owls, and giant wax moths. These animals have extremely sharp hearing.
Then Gao Jie calls out the special stress hormones of these five animals. The stress hormones can amplify the sensitivity of sound detection by more than a thousand times through the electroconstriction effect.
Such a subtle sound sensitivity characteristic can quickly lock on seabed targets within 600 kilometers, tropospheric targets within 160 kilometers, and underground targets within 1,900 kilometers through supercomputer-assisted analysis.
"This is the Ear of the South China Sea project that we cooperated with the military." Gao Jue turned on the detection system connected to the supercomputer analysis system. On the three-dimensional simulation map formed by the system, a large number of marked targets in different colors can be seen.
The downwind sonar equipment deployed on various islands and reefs directly locked all ships operating in the South China Sea.
As long as the moving objects with a radius greater than 1 meter will be listed separately by the supercomputer, the activity data of each sonar detection point will be analyzed by the supercomputer to form a specific target.
This system has been in use for a week and has discovered thousands of unmanned sonar devices, including a large number of unmanned solar ships in the South China Sea.
After being accurately targeted, these items are currently being cleared by dragnets.
Looking at the three-dimensional simulation map, the six Kirovs hidden near the Beibu Gulf and Xisha, as well as other marked submarines, it is as if the other party is reporting their position in real time.
The Shunfeng'er 1-2 land base underground sonar secretly deployed in Yunnan Province, Guangxi Province, and Khmer also clearly detects underground activities in the entire Indochina Peninsula.
Not to mention underground nuclear explosion experiments, even a sneeze in the underground space will be detected by the detection system.
Obviously, this system has very powerful monitoring capabilities for seabed and underground targets.
However, after reading relevant research data, Huang Xiuyuan also discovered that this system is expensive. Once the sonar equipment in the Shunfeng Er system is mass-produced, the cost will not be too high.
What really accounts for the bulk of the cost is the supporting supercomputer, because the ultra-sensitive sound sensor brings a huge amount of sound data at all times. To find useful specific frequencies in this vast sea of data, it takes a lot of calculations. Power is definitely not a small number.
The Ear of the South China Sea project alone uses two 120-terascale supercomputers. If the Ear of the South China Sea is to be developed into the Asia-Pacific Ear or even the Blue Star Ear, it will require so much computing power that it is simply astronomical. .
Fortunately, China has developed very rapidly in semiconductors in recent years. Shenwei Company has built more than 20 purely domestic supercomputers. Otherwise, there is really no way to support the normal operation of the South China Sea Ear.
Huang Xiuyuan thought for a while and then said: "The potential of this system is not only in detection, you can also develop in communication and sound restoration."
"I knew you had this idea." Lu Xuedong took out the tablet in his hand and called up the other two sub-projects of the Shunfeng'er project.
Above is a research report on ultrasonic communication and sound restoration.
"It seems that you have done a lot of homework." Huang Xiuyuan looked through it carefully.
Ultrasonic communication is divided into two directions, one is liquid ultrasonic communication, and the other is solid-state ultrasonic communication.
At present, liquid ultrasonic communication can already achieve mutual communication within 50 kilometers of the seabed, which plays a vital role in communication between submarines, as well as communication between submarines and surface ships and bases.
The main reason why communication does not reach 600 kilometers under the sea is that the distance is too long and is susceptible to interference, resulting in information loss.
In addition, considering the problem of being detected by enemy sonar, currently only 50 kilometers of communication under the sea can be achieved.
However, in case of emergency, ultra-high-power ultrasonic communication can also be activated, which can achieve an ultimate communication distance of 600 kilometers on the seabed.
In terms of solid-state ultrasonic communication, it is still under research and development. There is already a solid-state ultrasonic communication system that can achieve 80 kilometers. However, the potential of solid-state ultrasonic communication is still great, and the equipment has not yet been finalized.
As for sound restoration technology, it is actually a special application of air sound wave detection.
At present, clear sound can be restored within 4.2 kilometers in open terrain; in urban areas with complex buildings, coupled with the interference of various artificial sounds, it must be within a range of about 700 meters to achieve clear sound. Sound restoration.
The main application scenario of this technology is the field of intelligence theft.
Just think about it and you will understand how terrifying it is. You only need to stand a few hundred meters away to hear the sounds inside the house. There is no need for direct contact at close range. What can be more invisible than this.
No matter how vigilant you are, you won't be wary of eavesdropping devices hundreds of meters away. It's simply impossible to guard against.
"The range of airborne sound alone is still small." Huang Xiuyuan then suggested: "We can consider combining solid-state sound wave detection. As long as it can achieve sound restoration of more than one kilometer inside the city, it will be very versatile. "
Lu Xuedong asked Gao Jue to record this point.
Back then, Lao Maozi designed a special bug called "Beetle" at KBL, which did not require electricity or batteries and could keep working for a long time.
The rapid technological development has greatly improved various technologies, and the various applications derived from the Shunfenger project are beyond the imagination of ordinary people.
It is unimaginable that voices can be heard from miles away.
Without prior knowledge, no one, no matter how vigilant, would notice one kilometer away. The emergence of this technology also brings another benefit, that is, intelligence personnel do not need to contact the other party, which greatly reduces the possibility of being discovered. .
For example, in Washington, D.C., you don't need to enter the Black Palace. You only need to be one kilometer away to hear the internal conversations. The security has been greatly improved.
In fact, due to the special Great Plains environment of North America, coupled with the vast land and sparse population, there is little noise at night, which will increase the accuracy and distance of sound restoration.
Huang Xiuyuan looked at the list and found that Qin Lifeng had ordered hundreds of sets of sound restoration receivers to cooperate with the laboratory to test the actual use effect.
After explaining some things to Lu Xuedong, he was also thinking about some recent arrangements.
