He could not resist adding with a soft chuckle, "I am already stronger than you now."

Just like that, for the next 5 hours, they began to hold hands together as they crossed the ridge slowly until finally they had reached the Black Death Mountains that was on the other side.

The Black Death Mountains was extremely tall and steep as it rose from the oceans of the pinkish desolate mists that were around them.

Ahead of them was a towering twin black mountains that looked like a huge gate that towered over 100m in height.

It was massive and imposing to say the very least.

However, at this moment, Ji Yuan was not thinking about this yet and he was thinking of another matter instead.

Ji Yuan sighed heavily to complain to Destiny, "What a waste of my precious profound strength to walk in such a tiring manner up to this point."

The Goddess Destiny merely smiled but she was feeling a little awkward in her heart as she could cross this ridge almost instantaneous and taking Ji Yuan along with her but she had enjoyed the walk with him instead.

She asked him instead to distract him, "Do you think that your conjecture of the hieragraphic rune name is right?"

Ji Yuan laughed aloud, "Of course not! I was randomly guessing only. Haha…"

The Goddess Destiny was stunned, "But you are so sure in front of Maiden Shui Xisi?"

Ji Yuan chuckled softly, "That is because she sounds so sure too but she is also making a guess as me."

When the Great Beyond Goddess had said this to her, there was a grieving look that were in her beautiful golden eyes as she slowly added. "Many of my kind have once died inside the Ancient Battleground of the Fallen Gods."

Ji Yuan had suddenly asked the Goddess Destiny, "You are thinking about something?"

The Goddess Destiny smiled, "I was just thinking that it would be better if your conjecture is right about the hierographic runes. Then we can avoid a nasty fight with the Great Desolate Wyrm instead."

JI Yuan chuckled, "How powerful can the Great Desolate Wyrm be? Haha… I can handle him alone."

The Goddess Destiny did not know where Ji Yuan's confidence had come from as she could sense a powerful profound presence inside the Black Death Mountains.

She said to Ji Yuan softly, "Even if we can win against the Great Desolate Wyrm, aren't you worried that the Divine Messenger of the Nine Abyss Realm won't attack us? He never says he won't attack us and may take advantage of our exhausted state after the fight with the Great Desolate Wyrm to deal with us. This is killing three birds with one stone."
