Like the cat that swallowed the canary, Sera turned on her heel, ignoring Liu Li's dark glare. The latter's broken lips quivering with anger.

With a triumphant expression across her face, Sera eyed the handsome man gazing complacently at her. Her straight eyebrows rose slightly as she tugged at his arm.

"..What are you looking at? C'mon, let's get out of here!"

The authoritative tone made Liu Li's heart wrench. She swallowed the bitter feeling in her chest and glared at Sera's hand around Lucifer's. Only his broad back was visible to her.

Incredulous, Liu Li still couldn't believe that Lucifer had fallen for this wretched wolf in a sheep's clothing.

Biting back a smile, Lucifer kept quiet as he let Sera drag him out out of the room. Not wanting his girl to lose face in front of her rival, he didn't even try to struggle despite her tight grip on him.

Once they entered the elevator, Sera let go of Lucifer's arm and hung her head looking like a deflated balloon.

Cognizant about the fact that she cannot escape Lucifer's sharp-eye, Sera's lion-heartedness plunged resembling a tamed mouse.

Quirking his brow in amusement, Lucifer cast a side glance at the timidly standing girl beside him.

"Now tell me, what did you do?"

Raising his hand, Lucifer cornered Sera like a tiger ensnaring his prey. His tone stern albeit the playful light in his cavernous gaze

"I.. I didn't.. Do anything! Really.."

Gathering courage, Sera slowly met the man's intimidating stare as she mumbled, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

"Then what is this? How do you explain this.."

Pointing towards the negligible red dot on her cute pink dress, Lucifer asked with an austere expression.

"Oh! It's ketchup.. Look!"

Lowering her head to look at the spot, Sera smiled sheepishly as she said, no longer timorous. Her black eyes sparkling akin to stars.

"Hmm.. Okay, this time I won't pursue this matter.."

Nodding his head, Lucifer decided to make allowances for Sera's actions, only this one time.

"..But no next time, I know!!"

Rolling her eyes at the strict looking Lucifer in front of her, Sera mockingly completed his words. Mimicking his tone.

"Naughty girl! Go back, your family would be waiting.."

Guffawing, Lucifer pinched her pink cheeks making Sera giggle out loud. His gaze on her was warm and filled with doting.

"..Lucifer? What.. Exactly happened?"

After a beat of silence, Sera inquired as she softly held Lucifer's palm caressing her.

As Sera's question fell, Lucifer's gaze darkened.

Moving his thin lips, Lucifer elucidated the fact of the matter leaving Sera in extreme shock and distress. Her complexion paled. Even her legs turned to jelly. Smiling at her, Lucifer shook his head reassuringly, telling Sera not to worry and that he's really okay.

"..Then, you.. I mean, the drug?!"

Gobsmacked, Sera couldn't understand as to why Lucifer was still standing tall after being injected by an unknown substance. Hence her question.

"That.."

Smiling mysteriously, Lucifer started in his magnetic voice.

Just before Lucifer alighted from his car, he took out a transparent vial of chemical from his pocket. He downed the liquid in one go.

It's Luke's precious creation concocted for Lucifer, which acts as an antidote against more than a thousand types of sedatives and drugs.

"Wow!! There's something like that..?! It's amazing.."

Covering her mouth, Sera was struck dumb by the revelation. She goggled the man in awe. He chuckled lightly.

*ding*

"Let's go.. You shouldn't let your parents worry about you!"

The elevator descended to it's destination. Lucifer's hand reached to pat Sera's head, on it's own. He reminded her like an elder. His mirthful gaze fixated on her comical expression making his heart burst in bouts of genuine happiness.

Nodding lightly, Sera looked at his enamoring smile with a twinkle in her eyes, the sight made her heart skip a beat. Clenching her fists to keep herself from fainting, Sera quickly tiptoed to steal a lightning fast kiss, catching Lucifer off-guard. The feather-lite sensation akin to a butterfly perching on a bloomed flower.

Before Lucifer could react, Sera was gone like the wind leaving him alone and stupefied in the quiet lobby.

"This girl.. I love her so much!"

Abashed, Lucifer scratched his neck. He couldn't take his gaze from the direction where Sera's petite frame disappeared.
