The Second Empire of Azeroth
#1 - Orcs of Redridge Mountains
Roger lay on the ridge, watching the orcs moving in the distance, his heart filled with worry.
He never thought he would transmigrate into the game, and even transmigrate to the Stormwind Kingdom after the opening of the Dark Portal.
Knowing the history, he understood that the Stormwind Kingdom would eventually be defeated, and Lakeshire behind him would also be occupied by the orcs.
Although Lakeshire was just a map in the game for him, it was his hometown for the body he had transmigrated into.
It's hard to leave one's homeland. Roger hadn't completely gotten rid of the original owner's influence and still felt deeply for Lakeshire.
At this moment, knowing that Lakeshire would eventually fall, he found it hard to accept.
But what could he do?
"Roger, did you find anything?" A young voice came from beside him.
Roger turned his head to look. It was his younger brother, John, who had just turned 18 and had enlisted in the army due to the urgent war situation.
Fortunately, he could take care of this young lad, so he wouldn't die under the orc's axe.
At his age, he really shouldn't be on the battlefield.
Thinking of this, Roger couldn't help but shake his head at this goddamn era.
"Roger, is your arm hurting again?" John asked with concern.
"No!"
Roger casually denied it. He didn't want John to worry.

Looking at the character panel, he was not luxurious, even a little shabby.
Even the best talent didn't seem very eye-catching.
But Roger knew that this was his greatest reliance.
Without this system, his growth would undoubtedly be much slower, and he might not even be able to touch the threshold of transcendence even when he was old.
"Roger, there are only two monsters there. Let's sneak over and maybe we can take them down!" John suggested.
Roger's forehead slightly broke out in a cold sweat, and he quickly interrupted John's dangerous idea.
"No, they are fully armed, we are no match at all."
Two human recruits, without even armor, wanting to take down two orc wolf riders was simply lighting a lamp in the latrine - courting death!
"But there are only two of them, and there are two of us. We are evenly matched!" John said unconvinced.
"Our mission is not to kill the enemy, but to scout!"
Roger interrupted his brother's dangerous idea, grabbed him, and retreated.
John was helpless and could only follow his brother back.
Coming down from the top of Redridge Mountain to a clearing on the mountainside, it had become a military camp, filled with warhorses wearing armor.
At the entrance of the camp hung the lion flag of the Stormwind King, and a banner of valor.
That was the banner of valor King Llane awarded to Lothar!
This cavalry was led by Lothar's Stormwind Knight Order, and they were waiting for an opportunity to defeat the orcs.
After months of attacks, the orcs burned a large number of farms, towns, and villages, paralyzing Stormwind's economy and making it impossible to guarantee the army's logistics, forcing them to retreat in big steps.
But Lothar did not succumb, but was looking for an opportunity to defeat the orcs.
After several contacts with the orcs, Lothar predicted that easily obtaining the land at the foot of Redridge Mountain would make the orcs arrogant and negligent.
They would not let go of Lakeshire, which was isolated, and would inevitably send troops here.
So Lothar had long brought an elite knight order to station on the mountainside, relying on the supplies of Lakeshire to rest and reorganize the army, waiting for the opportunity.
"Report!"
Roger pulled John and rushed into the camp, shouting to the guard officer, "We found the monster's scouts!"
Upon hearing this, the officer immediately asked, "Where?"
"Triangle Crossroads!"
"You two come with me!" The officer was overjoyed, left a sentence, and hurried towards the commander's tent.
John happily followed behind. He could finally see the hero he admired - Lothar!
"Roger, did we make a contribution this time?"
"I guess so?"
Roger knew that he had made a contribution this time. The appearance of the orc wolf riders meant that they were going to attack Lakeshire, and the opportunity Lothar was waiting for had arrived.
But he didn't reveal it. Who knew if these nobles would kill him because he was too smart?
Yang Xiu was a lesson from the past.
"Great!"
John was still excited, "So can we go to the battlefield to kill monsters?"
Roger helplessly grinned. His parents were both honest people, how could they have given birth to a battle maniac like John?
What a freak!
No, from now on, I must keep an eye on him and not let him die on the battlefield.
John didn't know that he had been targeted by his brother and was completely immersed in the fantasy of going to the battlefield to kill enemies.
But soon, John woke up from his fantasy because he saw his idol.
"Lo... Sir Lothar, can... can you sign my name?"
In an instant, John became a little fanboy, looking at Lothar with admiration.
What an embarrassing guy!
Roger slapped his forehead. How could he have such an embarrassing brother?
He quickly pulled John away, saluted Lothar, "Reporting Sir Lothar, Lakeshire guard Rogers Kishaen reporting to you!"
Lothar returned a military salute and asked eagerly, "You found the monster's wolf riders?"
"Yes! Although there are only two wolf riders, they are scouting the road to attack Lakeshire."
"Very good!"
Lothar happily came to the sand table, looked at the troop deployment on it, and muttered, "There is still some time, I want to see how to make it foolproof."
The knights' generals gathered around and were also thinking of ways.
Roger glanced at the sand table, wanting to say something, but after thinking about it, he didn't say it.
John admired Lothar for a while before returning to normal. He also curiously looked at the sand table, "Huh? Isn't this Redridge Mountain?"
Disturbed, everyone instantly turned to look at John.
John was startled, stuck out his tongue, and flashed behind Roger. Roger glared at him angrily, "Be honest, John!"
Lothar smiled and waved his hand, "It doesn't matter!"
Then he looked at John and asked curiously, "Can you understand the sand table?"
Seeing that Lothar didn't blame him, John breathed a sigh of relief. But to Lothar's question, he shook his head and said, "I can't understand it, but Roger can. I often see him drawing maps of Redridge Mountain."
