The Second Empire of Azeroth
#105 - The Coming of the Army of Light
On the way back from the Elemental Throne, the group saw a giant pillar of Holy Light descend from the sky, enveloping the entire Shattrath City.
"Shatar!" Velen said in surprise.
The Naaru are here?
Roger was taken aback for a moment, then waved his hand to create a temporary portal, teleporting everyone back to Shattrath.
Stepping out of the portal, Roger finally saw the source of the giant pillar of Holy Light, which turned out to be a spaceship. The entire spaceship floated in the sky above Shattrath, and through the crystal windows, Roger could see a large number of Naaru flashing with Holy Light.
Naaru spaceships are powered artificially, relying entirely on the Naaru's power to traverse the universe. That's why the spaceship that rescued the Draenei from Argus back then exhausted the energy of three Naaru.
The Naaru spaceship in the sky was the same, and it also needed to maintain combat capability, requiring even more Naaru.
Soon, the Naaru created a Holy Light spiral staircase, connecting to the towers of Shattrath. A group of Naaru floated out of the spaceship, numbering more than a dozen, large and small.
Naaru have cubs?
Roger quickly remembered that in the game, Outland Shattrath, A'dal was with two small Naaru.
Each Naaru with a normal physique is a powerful demigod-level creature, comparable to an army. So many Naaru gathered together are already comparable to a legion.
Holy Light Legion? Roger inexplicably thought of the Naaru Mother Zera. Judging from Zera's name, the Naaru all have an inexplicable relationship with Azeroth.
Velen stepped forward and said respectfully, "Respected A'dal, welcome to Shattrath."
A'dal's Holy Light flickered a few times, and then he said, "Velen, it seems you have overcome your difficulties."
Velen said, "This is only temporary. The Burning Legion has already noticed this world, and they are constantly attacking here through the Dark Portal. Although we and our allies have temporarily gained victory, if we cannot completely eliminate the Burning Legion, we will eventually fail."
A'dal was silent for a moment, then turned to Roger and the humans, "Are these people your allies?"
Velen nodded, introducing the Naaru, "This is Rogers Kishaen, a human demigod. He comes from Azeroth and came to Draenor through the orcs' Dark Portal."
A'dal gazed at Roger, "Hello, Rogers Kishaen!"
"Hello, A'dal!" Roger nodded in response.
"Since you are allies of the Draenei, then you are our allies." A'dal generously promised, "We recognize the alliance signed by Velen and you, and will communicate and fight together according to the previous manner."
Dallas looked at A'dal in surprise. He didn't expect this newly arrived Naaru to be so easy to talk to. Or perhaps, like Velen, the Naaru are gentle elders?
Roger, however, was unmoved by A'dal's generous promise. Obeying the alliance was a given. If A'dal came to abolish the alliance, it would mean that the Naaru's arrival was not to deal with the Burning Legion, but to conquer Draenor. However, he also responded to A'dal's goodwill, "We will also recognize the fact that the Naaru have joined, and recognize that the Naaru have the same rights as Velen."
Velen's face changed slightly, and then he fell silent.
A'dal said, "Although we and the Draenei are one, we still have young children. I hope to find a place to settle them, let them stay away from the war, and enjoy their childhood."
These words seemed to be explaining to Velen, but they were also expressing a signal to Roger. They were preparing to reside in Draenor for a long time, and were also expressing their determination to fight against the Burning Legion to the death.
Roger said, "We are just preparing to purify Shadowmoon Valley, you can build a base there."
"That's great!" A'dal's voice was smiling, "It's a win-win situation to be able to find a place to live and contribute to the fight against the Burning Legion."
"Shilai, take the little ones to Shadowmoon Valley."
A Naaru flashed with Holy Light, "Yes, sir!"
It looked at Roger, "Rogers, I'll leave the rest to you."
"No problem!" Roger nodded, "I'll take you to Shadowmoon Village first, where you can live temporarily."
Saying that, Roger took out the Scepter of Sargeras and opened the portal.
The Naaru didn't seem to react, and waited a few seconds before entering the portal. Roger led the people in, and after crossing the portal, they appeared in the square of Shadowmoon Village. Shilai looked at the environment of Shadowmoon Village. The points of fel energy were very dirty in the eyes of the Naaru, but other than that, it was a good place to live.
"Children, let's start cleaning our new home!"
The little Naaru ran towards the buildings in Shadowmoon Village, the Holy Light flashing rapidly, looking very happy. When they came near the points of fel energy, a powerful Holy Light suddenly erupted from them, purifying the fel energy wherever it passed.
Is this how the Naaru clean?
Roger curiously watched the little Naaru cleaning, feeling amused. He even thought that if Alto grew up a little more, he should also clean, right?
Shattrath, the welcoming ceremony is over. Dallas led the people away, and the Draenei also went to prepare for the upcoming celebration.
Velen and A'dal stood facing each other, A'dal said apologetically, "I'm sorry, Velen."
Velen was silent for a moment, "I don't quite understand why you did this."
He was indeed very puzzled. The Draenei worship the Naaru. This is tens of thousands of years of gratitude, which has long become a habit. Even though his current strength is almost the same as the Naaru, he is still extremely respectful to the Naaru. The Draenei regard the Naaru as leaders, and Velen also thinks so. He really couldn't understand why A'dal had to separate the two.
Just for a base?
A'dal explained, "I did this to curry favor with Rogers."
Velen was even more confused.
A'dal said, "Velen, you also have the ability to foresee, have you seen Rogers in the future?"
Velen was stunned for a moment. He would foresee all the languages after the humans entered Draenor. He saw Turalyon, Alleria, Kurdran, etc. in it, but he never saw Roger once.
"Could it be…he can't live to a distant future?"
A'dal shook his head, "I think quite the opposite, we cannot foresee his future."
Velen was silent, yes! It's too difficult to kill a demigod. What's more, Roger is such a cautious person, unless he uses his weaknesses, Alleria and Alto…
