The dozens of defense lines the Orcs had established on Blackrock Mountain simultaneously faced the onslaught of humanity. Powerful paladin generals like Turalyon, Uther, Saidan Dathrohan, Tirion Fordring, Gavinrad the Dire, and Mograine were all courageous in battle.

After learning about the strength of the Orcs from the Stormwind nobles, he always believed that the Alliance would be defeated by the Horde, so he was unwilling to join the Alliance.
