The Second Empire of Azeroth
#94 - Eredar Mage
The Eredar mages were in the forefront, directing the hellfires, their backs exposed to the Alliance.
Rangers and mages attacked the Eredar mages, and Alliance soldiers also rushed towards them, hoping to eliminate them in one fell swoop.
However, they clearly underestimated the strength of the Eredar mages.
Just as all the attacks were about to hit the Eredar mages, a fel shield suddenly appeared around them. Whether it was arrows or spells, they were easily blocked by the fel shield.
Compared to orc warlocks, the Eredar mages' fel shield was far more powerful. After all, they had studied fel energy for tens of thousands of years, making them many times stronger than those halfway-trained orc warlocks.
As Alliance soldiers rushed forward, the Eredar mages calmly raised their hands and released a wave of concussive force, sending the soldiers flying.
"Ah—"
The Alliance soldiers struggled frantically in the air, screaming in terror.
The mages quickly cast Slow Fall spells, saving their lives. Even so, they still flew halfway down the mountain before stopping. Looking at the nearly hundred-meter drop, the Alliance soldiers wiped away cold sweat, grateful to have escaped with their lives.
The Eredar mage leader directed several Eredar mages to block the Alliance, and once again looked towards Roger.
"Boom—"
Arcane energy with divine power instantly shattered the Eredar mages' fel shields, blowing them off balance. The Eredar mages were instantly alert and teleported to the surrounding hills.
Just as they were about to observe the battlefield situation, a group of people used Blink to appear beside them, stabbing their backs with the weapons in their hands.
The Eredar mages hurriedly used fel shields, but this time the shields did not block the attacks. The attackers' weapons pierced through the fel shields, stabbing into their bodies and unleashing a large amount of fire damage. The Eredar mages were severely injured, and the fel energy in their bodies instinctively surged towards the attackers.
The attackers had to dodge, and the Eredar mages teleported away again. After confirming their safety, they looked at these despicable attackers, who were wearing equipment with the aura of dragons. Especially their weapons, which even had anti-magic runes, a simplified version of the runes they had inscribed on the hellfires, which shouldn't have been able to break through their fel shields.
What was going on?
The Lothar's Sword Red Dragon Squad didn't know what the Eredar mages were thinking, and blinked closer again, launching an attack on them.
The Red Dragon Squad was composed of the strongest members of Lothar's Sword. Roger distributed the remaining Red Dragon equipment to them, making them the strongest assault squad. Although they didn't have Alexstrasza's life blessing, Roger also used Breath of Life and Arcane Breath to strengthen their bodies, making them no weaker than B Company.
But in the eyes of the Eredar mages, the Red Dragon Squad was still not enough to pose a threat to them! The only threat in their eyes was Roger, who had destroyed the Dark Portal.
Roger's powerful strength made the Eredar mages extremely wary, especially the spell that teleported arcane energy explosions, which made them very vigilant. But no matter how vigilant they were, it was useless; they still couldn't defend against it.
A spatial rift appeared near the Eredar mages again, and the powerful arcane energy instantly shattered their fel shields, throwing them off balance. The Red Dragon Squad, wearing anti-magic equipment, was unaffected and attacked the Eredar mages.
The Eredar mages who could cast spells quickly teleported away again, but those who were slower to cast spells were directly interrupted by the Red Dragon Squad and beaten to the ground. After the tall Eredar mages fell, the Red Dragon Squad immediately launched attacks on their vital points, and soon an Eredar mage was beaten to death.
The other Eredar mages, seeing this situation, knew that they had to stop Roger from casting spells. Otherwise, they would all be killed by Roger and the Red Dragon Squad.
They teleported near Roger one after another, preparing to gang up on him. Although they were not very good at close combat, with their huge bodies three times taller than Roger, they could crush him to death even if they just piled on top of him. Moreover, Roger, as a mage, might not be good at close combat either; they would definitely have the upper hand in a noob fight.
The idea was correct, but the thinking was too naive.
Roger was a little surprised, because the Eredar mages could teleport, he hadn't considered close combat, but chose to play support, slowly grinding them to death. But since they were offering themselves up, how could Roger be polite?
He directly took out the anti-magic sword, starting with Endless Rage, then connecting to Bladestorm.
The anti-magic sword stirred up a powerful whirlwind, directly enveloping the Eredar mages. The gale tore at their bodies, creating wounds, and even tearing off the arms of some Eredar mages.
The Eredar mages were horrified and hurriedly used teleportation spells to try to escape this hell. But the light of the teleportation spells had just lit up when it immediately went out; they couldn't use spells at all. The domain of Bladestorm was actually anti-magic!
This was impossible!
The Eredar mages watched as the whirlwind slowly tore their bodies to pieces. They couldn't understand why they couldn't use teleportation spells?
Even if it was because of the anti-magic sword, the anti-magic runes on that black sword were only the lowest level, why would they disable their spells?
Why was this?
They couldn't figure it out even if they racked their brains. The anti-magic runes had been strengthened and were not weaker than the real anti-magic runes they used.
Perhaps spells with divine power couldn't be disabled, but it was more than enough to deal with them.
The death of the Eredar mages caused the demons to lose their courage to resist. Although they could be resurrected in the Twisting Nether, they didn't want to die again. The demons fled north, and the Alliance occupied Bloodmane Valley.
Seth led the arakkoa over, "General Rogers, are we going to attack Skyreach next?"
Roger signaled him to be calm, "We will definitely take back Skyreach, but currently we should pay more attention to the demons' movements. There are still tens of thousands of demons in the Arrak Mountains, and we must clear them out completely before we can completely recover this place. Otherwise, the arakkoa alone cannot defend Skyreach."
Seth was a little embarrassed, "But Spires of Arak has always been our forbidden area, full of deadly curses."
"Then completely solve the curse!" Roger said decisively.
Seth didn't expect Roger to choose this way, but he was also infected by Roger's determination.
"I will send someone to contact the Raven God now. He devoured Sethe's body back then, and no one knows Sethe's curse better than him."
Anzu? Roger raised his eyebrows. He had long wanted to meet this only demigod of Draenor.
