Back to Me

It took Miceter less than ten minutes to finish eating. I didn't even get to finish a whole sausage before he began to plan the rest of our day.

"Hey, Mister, after this we should go to the jewelry store! Although the rings are terribly plain, but the necklaces are impressive! And then, after that, we can steal a curtain and make ourselves a cape! Ooo! They have to be matching in color! We can then fight Baddies like Bam! Bam! Bam!" Miceter began to punch and kick the air in demonstration of how we'd fight Villains. I shook my head internally as I watched his antics.

"Oh! I almost forgot! We can then go watch the Puppet Show right after we save the Kingdom and become Kings!"

Huh? What happened to the Baddies? Why are we becoming Kings?

I can't keep up with the character I made...

...is that bad?

"Okay, okay, one thing at a time Miceter." I sighed before standing up. "We should first think about what we should do with the leftovers."

I glanced at the bumpy wheel of cheese. Miceter, when eating, had taken bites on the perimeter of the wheel, refusing to go further into the center. So, in stead of a smooth wheel of cheese, it became an uneven wheel of teeth marks. If I had to guess, I would say he had managed to eat one fourth of the whole thing. Which is quite impressive, considering his size.

Honestly, we were given more food than we could consume. Even though I'm grateful to the stall vendor, I can't help but feel the amount of food we have left is really troublesome. What's even more problematic is that neither of us have a Spacial Collar.

What's a Spacial Collar? Imagine a Storage Ring you would often see in Video Game and Movies, but a collar.

"No worries, we can give it to those in the Lower Class Neighborhood!" Miceter enthusiastically reassured me.

Oh, Miceter's idea is smart and kind. I kinda feel bad that I hadn't even thought of the idea first...

"Alright." I nodded at the idea. "Let's go before the guards come back to their posts."

Miceter followed behind the black cat, watching as he skillfully pushed the bumpy wheel of cheese down the cobblestone streets. With a push of his nose, the wheel would bounce down the street, sometime veering to the left, or veering to the right. If that happened, Mister would quickly rush forward and use his face to push the wheel in the right direction. Rarely did the wheel of cheese fall down onto its side. When they encountered a puddle, Mister would stop the wheel and then push it around the puddle, making sure it wasn't dirtier than it already was. And when Mister was going too fast, he would stop and wait patiently for Miceter to catch up.

Miceter, using his whole body, hugged a sausage as he dragged a whole link of sausages, trying to not be too much of a hassle. One would have to look closely to see Miceter behind the sausage.

Miceter, although he wouldn't admit it, was a tad bit embarrassed. Not for himself, but for the Special Mentor whom he sadly couldn't study under.

Special Mentors had a reputation to maintain. They couldn't be seen doing something inappropriate or common because they were high and aloof characters.

When Miceter heard what the people were whispering, Miceter couldn't help but feel guilty. Mister's reputation went from a noble Special Mentor to a poor, stray Beast Man in the course of a day. However, the fact that they didn't know Mister was a Special Mentor reassured Miceter a bit.

At least, with his identity being concealed, he wouldn't have to worry about any bad rumors spreading.

'In that case, Mister and I can really go watch the Puppet Show! With Mister acting so mysterious-like, no one would suspect his real identity and call him childish!'

Just as Miceter was delving deeper into his fantasies, a loud voice broke his chain of thought.

"Hey, wait up!"

Who was it?

It was none other than the stall vendor.
