Ba-dump. Ba-Dump.

As the two figures descended from the air, Roy didn’t dare to move a muscle.

These opponents’ identities were clear to him.

“What business do I have with the Dragons?”

Roy asked in a quiet voice, trying to probe for information.

He was aware that if they wanted to, his head would already be separated from his neck a thousand times over.

<What business? You->

Hanu was cut-off from his words as Mazre extended his hand signaling for him to pause.

<They’re coming. We should not have done this.>

Mazre’s bloodlust had not died down at all despite trying to stop Hanu from going any further.

He did not expect to act here when they were only supposed to be doing simple reconnaissance, but something was terribly wrong the moment they laid eyes on the boy.

<Tell us boy. How did you do it?>

“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”

Roy responded with a smirk.

He was certainly playing with fire, but he did not miss Mazre’s earlier words.

‘Master is coming. I can feel it..’

Roy felt his master’s presence closing in quickly on their location. It wasn’t just him, but two other individuals.

-It seems your master and the Royal Family were prepared that they might come for you directly. They even sent that person here, I can’t wait.

Ifrit once again spoke cryptically, but Roy felt a sense of relief.

His master was no longer the Fourth Swordmaster of the Empire in terms of strength anymore.

Based on the bits of action Roy had seen from their escape from the Demon Territory, Lucius had grown even further and had clearly surpassed his limits somehow.

Although he was the Fourth Swordmaster in name, Roy didn’t know just how powerful he was now.

But, of the three presences approaching, one being his master’s, there was a much stronger and terrifying presence making itself known.

That seemed to be the person that Ifrit was referring to.

“You were right Sir Tubel.”

Lucius spoke with a hint of admiration in his voice.

Tubel had spoken to the Emperor about the possibility of the Dragons trying to capture or kill Roy.

When they had first faced off against Argenta, many had brushed over the words being exchanged, but Tubel found something odd in the behavior of Argenta.

‘He was obsessed with the boy for some reason.’

Tubel was not sure, but spoke to Emperor Navarro about how they might try to exact revenge on Roy since he had summoned the Spirit King that had murdered Argenta.

Not only that, but he spoke to the Emperor that there might be a slight possibility that Roy had something quite unique to the Dragons based on Argenta’s words and behavior.

As he dispelled the clone spell he had been using, a 8-star modified spell that cast his mana signature in a different place and time, his presence was revealed as he was currently using the spell blink alongside Lucius and one other man to track down the intruders of the Academy.

“Indeed, I was unsure of whether this was a possibility, but I’m glad they came to the Empire.”

Trent Freeman, the First Swordmaster nodded in agreement as they closed in.

His presence was as huge as one could possibly imagine, almost as if the ki in his body was like a massive sea.

“Don’t tell me that you’ve been itching for a fight all this time?”

Lucius asked Trent with a sarcastic manner of speech.

The First Swordmaster, the position Trent held, was not one that allowed much freedom.

He was to guard the Emperor most of the time and never left the Capital, Lazarus.

Since Tubel had picked up signatures of two monstrous intruders on the grounds of the academy and sent a message to Navarro immediately that these monsters were not the same level as the ones before, Navarro had mobilized Trent for this occasion.

“Don’t get too relaxed you two. These ones are much stronger individually than the one I faced with Sir Lucius before. Not only that, but there are two, not just one.”

Tubel spoke gravely.

He had requested the Emperor for more troops if possible, and Navarro, sensing the urgency in Tubel’s voice at the time of the message, had sent messengers to gather the other Swordmasters of the Empire that were nearby.

Only the Seventh Swordmaster, the Fourth, and the Second were currently in Lazarus as the rest were doing missions within the borders of the Empire’s reach.

The Seventh Swordmaster, Count Mateo Lancer, was certainly strong, but was young.

Tubel was unsure of how effective he would be against such opponents.

But the Second Swordmaster and the Fourth were unexpected.

“It seems you’ve gotten much stronger in the meantime Lucius. I guess you’re getting close to Evanker’s level.”

Tubel’s eyes widened at Trent’s remark.

He had heard brief news that Lucius had indeed grown stronger, but not to the extent that he would grow to be close to the Second Swordmaster’s skill level, Evanker.

Tubel shook off his worries and decided to focus on getting to Roy as fast as possible.

“Let’s go, he might not have much time.”

“En.”

Lucius and Trent both nodded in agreement as they kicked their speed up a notch.

Brrrrrring- Brrrrrring-

The magic crystal inside Sistine’s dorm was going off.

Slipping a bit of her ki into the crystal, a voice was suddenly heard.

“Princess, are you alright?!”

“Woah there Count Mateo, what are you so flustered about?”

Through the magic crystal, the outline of Count Mateo’s worried expression could be seen.

Sistine was alone in her dorm, looking outside the window at the moonlight, recalling her swordsmanship class- more specifically, her sparring against the random third year named Hallen Tiberius.

‘He was incredibly skilled. How is someone like him, not well known yet?’

Sistine couldn’t imagine how someone so skilled for his age, had not made a name for himself yet.

Shaking off her troubled mind, Sistine refocused her attention onto Count Mateo’s image through the magic crystal.

“Your Majesty, you need to evacuate the Academy as soon as possible.”

Count Mateo spoke in a grave tone of voice.

“Why?”

“There is a very imminent threat on the grounds of the Academy as we speak. The Dragons have moved and although Sir Tubel, Sir Trent and Sir Lucius are en route, it will be a battlefield if things go terribly wrong. A lot of the other students are about to hear the alarms as the Emperor has called for a mass evacuation.”

Suddenly, as Count Mateo had said, a bright eerie light shone and a loud alarm blared from the central spire that overlooked the entire academy.

WOOONG- WOOOOONG-

Sistine started to hear the rustling of footsteps shortly after along with screams and panicked voices of the students looking outside and not knowing what was the cause for the red alarm to go off.

There were several different colored alarms for various things, but the red color was known to have never been rung in the history of Titanius as it signaled that there were intruders and that the student’s lives could not be guaranteed.

Flares were shot up into the sky as Sistine took in the gravity of the situation.

As she kept her calm and regulated her breathing, Sistine coldy analyzed the information given to her.

Count Mateo, noticing this, inwardly respected her even further as he was already completely convinced that this young royal should be the next one to inherit the throne.

“Are there any casualties reported as of yet?”

“No, Your Majesty.”

“The First and Fourth Swordmaster are coming with the White Tower Master, but what is the status of other reinforcements?”

“I’m already on my way to the Academy as I was notified by the Emperor himself. The Purple Tower Master and the Second Swordmaster are also en route.”

“Good. What about the students? Are the professors taking charge of their evacuation?”

“Yes.”

“Alright, I will only leave once I ensure that the rest of the students are also safe from the premises. We need to move since time is of the essence.”

“Your Majesty!”

Count Mateo had a look of concern and disbelief as soon as he heard Sistine say that she would only leave once the others left.

“It’s not something up for debate Mateo, this entire continent is in a shaky situation right now, and the only way we can pave forward is to ensure that the talents of my generation stay alive and are nurtured properly.”

“Your Majesty, please… with caution.”

“Of course, I’m not a fool. Not only that, but there are certainly some capable individuals within this academy that might be of some help.”

Sistine immediately thought of Hallen for some reason.

He was like a large shield that could protect them. At least if he was stronger. As he was right now, he was still nothing compared to those monsters that had intruded the Academy.

‘Not one, but there are two Apostles here. They might be of some help.’

Sistine thought of the two boys that were in her year that she had only gotten glimpses of. She didn’t share many classes with other first-years, but she had seen the duel between Roy and Elias, as well as Nate’s immediate win; forcing surrender from the other child who tried to duel him.

Sistine opened up her spatial packet and took out her gloves that she used and slipped them on.

Adjusting the hilt of her sword, she took one last look at Count Mateo before excusing herself.

“I’m going.”
