The Stars In Your Eyes

It was past lunch time, Jian Kang Lu just finished his ward visit. Lately he tried to reduce his patient amount, delegate it to his junior. But for VIP ward, it was the patient's right to choose their main physician. There's nothing he can do.

The ward at lunch time was not as crowded as dinner time. People usually visit their relatives treated here at night, after they go home from work. But nevertheless, the ward corridor is still filled with the patient's caretaker who stays with the patient and now try to find their own lunch if they didn't order the lunch to be taken inside the patient's room.

Jian Kang Lu say goodbye to the nurses and walked out, he had lunch appointment with Zhao Yang, his junior and fellow nephrologist. Zhao Yang seemed to want to beseech his advice for registering his research to international journal society.

So many international journal societies, but their prestige is different. Some of the journals that have the highest point for research is the journal indexed by Scopus. Zhao Yang is paving his way to get his professor title, which needs a lot of international journal publication..

Jian Kang Lu was famous for helping his professor's research to be smoothly accepted in Scopus indexed journals, even though he himself didn't submit much research. A lot of his juniors also ask for his favour if they are stuck in some stage of submitting their research.

While walking to the cafe in the hospital, where Jian Kang Lu will meet Zhao Yang there, he looked at his phone, smiling to see his kitten's message. He replied to that message:

[Baby, I just finished my ward visit. What do you have for your lunch? I'll have mine with Zhao Yang in a cafe here in hospital.]

Once Jian Kang Lu reached the cafe, his phone vibrated. Once he sat, he looked at his phone. His sparkling eyes showed he expected his kitten to reply to his message. Too bad what he saw is notification from his bank, automatic notification that his card was used on a restaurant in a shopping mall.

Jian Kang Lu knew it was Bai Yuren. Jian Kang Lu gave her the credit card for her usage with YingYing on their vacation here. Just like her brother, Bai Yuren didn't use much even though he already stated it was free to use even if Bai Yuren wanted to go shopping.

Actually, from Bai Yuren's point of view, she already abused Jian Kang Lu's credit card. She bought a summer dress, bag, shoes, books, cute earrings, ate at nice restaurants, and a few of little things girls like to buy. 

But of course, the monetary abuse level of a university student with 1000 yuan monthly allowance is different from a famous doctor with total income almost 100.000 yuan per month.

Even when Jian Kang Lu wants to buy a car for his kitten's usage, his kitten rejects it under pretence that he can't drive. He also absolutely rejected Jian Kang Lu's offer to hire a driver for him.

Why was it so difficult to let him pamper his kitten? But Jian Kang Lu can't deny that this is one of his kitten's charms. Jian Kang Lu knows very well that it was so difficult to reject someone's pampering. He himself indulged in his kitten's way of pampering him.

Every morning he wakes up with a freshly made breakfast made by his kitten. Their apartment is always clean due to both of them hate dirty things. If he was very tired but still needed to review his resident's project, his kitten will pat his back softly in the bed and silently encourage him to finish his duty.

When Jian Kang Lu sat down and ordered his lunch, he called Zhao Yang. "Zhao Yang, i'm already at the cafe. What do you want for your lunch? I'll order it along with mine."

Zhao Yang knows Jian Kang Lu didn't really put seniority between them, but still he rushed and packed his laptop while answering, "Sorry senior, i'm going there now. Can you order chicken steak for me? And cucumber juice. Thank you."

Jian Kang Lu placed his order and his phone vibrating again. It was from Bai Yuren.

"Hello, RenRen. What's the matter?"

Bai Yuren's crisp voice was heard along with a bustling sound as the background. "Jian Ge, can I buy another dress for our clubbing this Saturday? And for YingYing too?"

Jian Kang Lu smiled, "I told you the card is free for you to use. Heard your academic report this semester is very good, you girls deserve to have fun."

"Thank you Jian Ge! You're the best!" 

The call is not even 1 minute long. Jian Kang Lu smiled, it's been so long he didn't pamper someone like this, since his own kitten won't let him do that. 

Following his promise on New Year, Jian Kang Lu agreed to take Bai Yuren and YingYing for clubbing this Saturday night. He told his kitten to invite his friends also.

On Jian Kang Lu's side, it's been years since last visited a nightclub. The best night club in his last visit, which was more than 7 years ago, is now already closed. Night club's trend always shift every few years, since people always search for the new hip place to go.

Jian Kang Lu also contacts his friend and asks them to go together, for he doesn't want to be the only old uncle among these bunch of youngsters. Sun Hongjia and Luo Yuan agreed to go, along with Song Lixia, Luo Yan's wife.

Sun Hongjia suggested they go to V club. It was established 6 years ago, owned by Sun Hongjia's nephew from his maternal uncle. 

Jian Kang Lu didn't doubt Sun Hongjia's suggestion, since three of them like to do bar hopping back in those days. 

Soon the days went by, and Saturday came around. Jian Kang Lu told the girls that they will go out at 8 pm since they will have dinner first at the steak restaurant, then they will go to the club around 9.30 pm.

Back in his wild days, Jian Kang Lu and his friends were going out at 11 pm and going back at 3 in the morning. But considering his kitten's sleeping time, and the crowd today is not a party animal, 9.30 pm is a safe choice.

Jian Kang Lu smiled to see his handsome kitten dressed meticulously in front of their big mirror at the dressing room. His kitten wears his black long sleeve shirt with dark blue lines around the neck and back. His sleeves rolled to his elbow, and he used his new watch. An exclusive titanium thin watch, a gift for their monthly anniversary as well as his graduation gift.

He wrapped his arms around his kitten's tiny waist. "Whose boyfriend is this? So handsome.." He put his lips in his kitten's white nape and licked the sensitive area below his kitten's earlobe.

Bai Yutang turned his head and kissed the man back. "Yours, all yours. When will your blindness be cured?" Bai Yutang can't help but curse inside. No matter how handsome he dressed, he couldn't be compared to his lover.

"I'm not blind. If i blind, then my whole family is also blind." Jian Kang Lu can't help rub his head to his kitten's neck. It may be an animal instinct within, to wrap his scent to his kitten. Mark this man as his property.

Both of them kissed softly for a minute, before they went out and called for Bai Yuren and YingYing. Four of them go out together and have a lovely dinner in a cozy restaurant. 

Once they reached the club, Bai Yuren was already busy whispering with YingYing and satisfied her eyes with looking at the hip crowd in front of the club.

She already looked on the internet, and this club is one of the most famous and certainly one of the best clubs in B city. V club located in the B city main nightlife areas. The best club indeed will have their guests dressed very well. The girls are wearing sexy summer mini dresses, revealing their soft white skin yet not vulgar at all. The men are handsome. Their age looked varied, from teenager to mature.

Many people there but not crowded yet, since the peak hour will be at midnight. The four people standing in front of the club, waiting for Bai Yutang's friends. Yu Dong and Mu Xiaoya, Tang Yuxuan and Fei Hong, Liu Xiang, and also Feng Mian came along. They gather together also to celebrate Bai Yutang's graduation.

Once the crowd gathered, they went inside. Sun Hongjia and others have not yet arrived. When Jian Kang Lu wants to pay for the entrance fee, suddenly a young man in early thirties approaches them.

"Jian Ge, i've been waiting for you. Why didn't you call me?"

Jian Kang Lu recognised this man, this is the owner of V club, Sun Hongjia's relatives. "Xiao Zhan, I almost didn't recognise you. Are you going to the gym lately? You look well. No need to bother you, I just bring these teenagers to visit your club. Your Ge is still on the way, not yet here."

Hui Yi Zhan smiled and waved his hand, "Inspired by you, Jian Ge. How come your body still looked the same as years ago? Come, my Ge told me to prepare the private room on the second floor for you." He skilfully rejected the payment from Jian Kang Lu.

Jian Kang Lu followed him and smiled back, "Thank you, Xiao Zhan. But I will definitely pay for drink we order, don't look down on my credit card limit."

Hui Yi Zhan once again waved his hand, "Don't make me ashamed, Jian Ge. I still remember you won't accept payment also when my uncle hospitalised in your hospital."

The youngsters following Jian Kang Lu and Hui Yi Zhan like a duckling follow their mother. Bai Yuren looked at her left and right. The club is recognized by many as the best venue for dance/house music in B city and is overall one of the most crowded mega clubs of the capital.

The club is divided into two parts, the main floor is a big dance floor surrounded by tables and sofas, also a big circular bar circling the floor like a crescent moon. The main stage is occupied by the DJ with a big screen on the back. The laser light plays according to the music's beat, filled with energetic ambience.

The second floor also has bars with lighter ambience. They followed Hui Yi Zhan into the second floor, then went inside one of the private rooms guarded by big muscular men. The private area is not easily seen by the public. The second floor has 6 private rooms. 

When they went inside, there was a karaoke set in the room. One of the walls is one side see through glass. People inside the room can see the dance floor easily down there, while the people down there can't see them.

The waiter and waitress stand by inside the room, waiting with some drinks already spread in the big table.

Bai Yuren's eyes widened when she saw the room, she quickly peeked at the glass wall and looked at the beautiful people down there moving their body along with the music. The dance floor is not yet heated and crowded, but the tables with the sofa are already fully occupied with the crowd as pretty as multi color butterflies showing off their glittering wings.
